I’m looking forward to Revelations. He will probably go hard on it for just being a nostalgia trip. But tbh isn’t that what we all wanted. A new map that brought us back memories from the best parts of our favorite maps. He even said it was exactly what he wanted during his first play through lol. Anyways, I just hope he remembers that. I don’t think it’s a bad thing that the Mk 3 is almost necessary seeing as how in every other map in Bo3 you need the wonder weapon to do the Easter egg.

Gorod Krovi is my all time favourite MAP. Idk if it’s the atmosphere, the weapons, the gauntlet and other related wonder weapons and equipment or the fact that it’s simple but complicated with a lot of new content or even that you can camp or train to round 50 easily.
I haven’t watched the video yet but I can already say that exact title is perfect and is exactly what I was thinking and hoping you would make the retrospective about!

Gorod is so love-able & nostalgic. It is so criminally overrated though, I think this was when we realized every single blundell map has the same formula, in a sense it’s a anticlimactic climax, if that makes sense

I’ve been waiting for this retrospective for a while and I haven’t clicked on a video this fast in a while
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the challenges in this video. Not only are they much more achievable and actually force you to interact with the different mechanics on the map, but the rewards are actually useful beyond the Easter Egg. I love doing these challenges whenever I play GK, and it's strange to not see them brought up alongside the Time Trials. Still a great video, though!

Loved gorod although the EE was definitely way to hard and tedious the setting up process worked so perfectly and flowed incredibly well
It wasn't hard, it's only challenging on solo, and even then, it's managable

Great Retrospective! The points you made were extremely solid and I found myself agreeing with you almost 95 percent.
With the aspect of the Easter Egg being very split, I can see why this is S Tier. I'm more of a gameplay guy anyway.

I know about it but since I don't class it as a helmet that helps with bosses/damage effects etc etc and that it only protects you from the stomp of the bots I actually dropped the ball for a second but you're right! The official mask/helmet was the origins golden helmet 💯👍

I love GK, one of my favorite things about this map is that you have so many things to get and upgrade it with gameplay related steps.

9.5 out of my opinion the boss fight and map are great but the trophies make it a 9.5
I’m so glad somebody finally called out the flaws of this map. Ppl have always said this map is perfect “because it’s an inverted Der Riese” as if that really matters since that is such a surface level praise of the map. I love this map but it really does get a pass from ppl bc it came after Zetsubou which at the time was seen as a terrible map. I’ve never been a fan of the EE either. I’d say it’s EE is only better than Revelations and that’s it. Again it’s a great map but that EE is one of the most overrated ones in Bo3.

This map was never seen as overrated by the community. It’s always been seen as the best or very high in Top 5 vids. It’s only VERY recently that ppl have started to be critical of this map.

Yeah it definitely is. I would only put it above Revelations.
Dude what. The EE is so intertwined in the setup... you can do so much steps while setting up and the challenges for the EE are so much fun. Plus there’s a high chance of getting the mk 3 so RNG isn’t really an issue imo. Plus if you beat the EE under 115 minutes you get a really really cool reward. It’s not even too 5 for me but common.
to clear stuff up with the egg step in the easter egg. the dragon does NOT have to breathe fire on the egg, just has to somewhere in the map. just attempted it for the first time with some friends and found that was wrong on most websites

It is because they make a deal if the primes give them a new power core then he will help them defeat the dragon after that the primes need to kill Nikolai but he refuses so he tries to kill them again
The only reason he tries to kill Primis in the intro is because he probably hasn’t seen humans in idk how long and he doesn’t know who they are. Either that or he sees his younger self and immediately thinks he’s tripping
Love the video but was hoping you would cover every single thing of this perfect map. For example, you forgot the shield upgrade step, the dragon strike controller upgrade step, and the monkey bomb upgrade step. First time the monkey was upgradable would have been nice to be covered.

He prolly will. Rev is my fave bo3 map besides DE, but the community seems to hate it, and pat probably will as well. Its underrated imo. The masks were so much fun. The portals was a good idea as well. Ik theyre both from soe and gorod but the execution felt nicer in rev.

I honestly doubt he'd get to them tbh. Cold war is in around 2 weeks, so that gives him enough time to make the revelations retrospective. Maybe he'll make bo4 retrospectives after Cold war content runs dry or it just sucks. I'd love to see it too.
