Shadows of Evil is my favorite map of all time. Also, I can’t believe he put Shadows above Origins and Mob

No joke... All my friend trashtalk on this map but I LOVED IT! I played this map so much when i got the game after 1 month i was doing round 70+ (huge improvment for me because i never pass 60 on bo2)

Was playing this with my dad a few years back, had to close my eyes since I thought there was gonna be nudity in the intro.
That’s the parents fault. They were to ones that let you put in a game that has a higher age rating. It would be ignorant to assume the game would be entirely appropriate, to disregard the rating.

This map is definitely an S tier map alongside Mob of the Dead and a few other maps. Absolutely amazing.
bro watching this video honestly gave me the chills. Playing this map(and just BO3 in general) was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had and shadows will forever be the best map IN MY OPINION. Keep up the great content Pat, and hope you have a great day!

I love these retrospectives, and still watch them even though I don’t play the game. Amazing
I might be an exception, but I’m a pretty casual player but I really enjoyed SOE and it’s challenging-ness. I was never able to get past the flag/meatball step but I still really enjoyed trying. Tho I do admit after a while it did get kinda annoying to complete all the previous steps just to die on that step. But the accomplishment of getting the sword always kept me going for a while. Your SOE ultimate guide video is actually the first video of yours I watched, cuz I really needed the help, and I really liked all your ultimate guides because they were really well done and easy to follow. I was sad when you stopped making them but I definitely understand that they must’ve taken a painful amount of time. I’m still a fan of yours either way, so keep doing what you enjoy!

The intro and the music just felt STRONG pat. Niceeeeee. Also you should play and do IWZ too. Space land does the map layout great with the 4 areas,teleporters,etc

This was the first map I played and got any distance on after years of not really playing, i am very glad I didnt give up as otherwise I would never have realized the joy of easter eggs

Only Easter egg I ever completed was der Eisendrache and the giant if you count that. I’d recommend giving it a try since it’s the easiest of the “hard” Easter eggs.

I love how Snakeskin boots is playing in the background. Really good job pat. BUT, you forgot 1 thing. the telephone easter eggs. In every district of the map, there are phone booths and also just phones lying around. Holding activation button on them plays a audio log, For jessica, it's a movie manger and the owner of the Burlesque. The movie manger asks for an "All-American Girl." They then assign a meeting with her. For Nero, it's his financial manager, explaining to him how his wife faked documents to spend his money. Leading to why her killed her. The rest, you can find.
I love this map so much. First map I got to round 100 solo. First map I ever did an EE on. A true gem of my life

bo3 was my 1st cod and i didn’t know what i was doing at the launch but when ww2 released, i played final reich and tried shadows again and now it’s my fav of all time
the atmosphere in shadows is amazing, i sometimes wonder whats over in the rest of the city, the skyscrapers, behind neros lair, behind the burlesque etc. Maybe people still alive who have braiccaded themselves or still in some of those buildings
I’m sorry pat, but stamina’s up is definitely not a necessity in this map 😂. I’ve played with tons of friends and randos and not once did they use stamina’s up in SoE

Lucas Baldwin DE is way overrated in my opinion. Amazing map dont get me wrong, but theres hardly anything original about it. Almost everything is copied from mob and origins
Cole Leggett and it improves on a lot of thing. Wunderspheres help map traversal along with a teleporter. EE is awesome along with a good boss fight. Bows are good. Just because a lot is inspired from other maps doesn’t mean it’s automatically bad when it improves on the things it takes inspiration from in a lot of cases.

barry 234 gorod is top 5 for me definitely. Severely underrated map. Better than der eisendrache in my opinion
These retrospectives always change my opinion about at least 1 thing on the map, wether that’s for better or worse.
My opinions on Mob decreased. I’m glad about that tho. The way I see it, I want to be able to identify the bad in a map so I can admire the good.
Those videos are masterpieces. A pleasure to watch 🙏

I always found the tentacle monster theme very reminiscent of the hellboy movies.
Fun fact: Ron Perlman, the voice of Floyd, also played hellboy in the original movie.

Glad you mentioned the lack of causal experience. To this day this map leaves a bad taste in my mouth for being so complicated for an on disc map and ESPECIALLY the giant for being behind a pay wall. Tranzit was very frustrating, with the pack a punch process being the straw that broke the camel's back, but at least it was accompanied by town, bus depot, and farm.
Nothing can beat the city setting of shadows of evil, literally such a fun and beautiful map to play from the vibe I get with it

That’s not true coke always had brown or black coloring to hid the stuff in coke since it was originally supposed to be used for morphine addictions since it had a small amount of cocain in it
Gameinations still not true. while yes, it was green, that was because of the lack of coloring. Coca-cola would steel be green was it not for the coloring put in it. It had nothing to do with old formula itself tho.
