I used to be really good at rendering but because my anatomy was completely off I've took years improving that and now I don't know how to render anymore Thank you for the guide
Oh my Gosh!!! Congratulations, Masha! I’m so so happy to see this video and you in it! Rendering is such an important and tricky subject, you covered it so good! Loving everything about this video - you look so pretty, your English is great, editing, light, sound … feels like you put some serious work into it and it shows - turned out really great! 👍🏼
Thank you 🙏 I will keep this guide aside for when I get past the sketching part! I feel like I am starting from scratch whenever I run into problems with proportions and features not looking right.. I think that is holding me back instead of learning to correct those issues. Perfectionism is something I struggle with a lot lol
This was so helpful. I've been trying to get a better understanding how to render, and not only is this video so informative, but you'r style really captures the direction I want my rending to go into. Thank you so much for this video and I hope to see more soon!
i have been following you on Instagram for awhile now, glad that I stumbled upon your video on my homepage❤. Very well done on this video!❤ Hoping to see more❤
Yes very interested in light and shadow lesson! It’s still so hard for me to ;( I’m not a beginner with procreate and drawing, but when talking about colors- I am. I’m not what is rim light, why blocking a layer, what does it mean to add color variations? What is painterly? What does it mean, and what is accent? I mean, regarding to painting, what are accent brush strokes. What are focal points? How do you choose which brush to use each drawing. What is color dynamic? How did you make it grey scale again? It was too fast for me. Ugh I’m doomed
Here is the thing with the black colour layer: does it preserve value? I have played around with it a lot, and it seems all it does is desaturate the colours. However, desaturation does not preserve values. Two hues will become the same grey even when the values of the hues are different.
10:27 I don't understand how you came from that to the style you have now? It's a whole different level. I don't understand. All my work looks like your first one. What's the secret? Is it the line drawing? How?
Between these artworks, 6 years of practicing, learning, and experimenting :) I know some artists roll their eyes when they hear ‘practice, practice, practice.’ But this is the only thing that can improve your art. And sometimes we’re so obsessed with others’ works that we forget to focus on the fundamentals. Lines, colors, values, anatomy, etc. - these are the ingredients you need to know to get better at drawing 💜 you will get there, just don't give up!
