These games are so cool Man. The only bad thing is that NG+ is similar to no data. There isn't something like "The enemies will be tougher" plus have high health bars at the start, middle and end. Kind of a shame. Though they could add that. It ain't so hard. Like for example in God of War. God of War 2 had Bonus Play but the enemies stayed the same. Ha! That was 2007! I appreciate the accuracy of staying faithful to the original scene. And I appreciate the growth of the voice actors since the original game. And I appreciate the way Goro's seiyuu says Kiryu-chan so much.
But maybe a bit too faithful. Cause you can't use ps2 animations on a higher quality model and expect it to look amazing. Cause it just emphasizes how robotic the animation really is
Fun fact: reason why this and kiwami 2's cutscenes look pretty much identical in terms of framing and animation is because they're literally just reusing the old performance capture data and same camera cordinates witht the modern visuals and in the case of kiwami 2, within the new dragon engine
Which is why in some of the cutscenes the animation is a little clunky, you can notice the difference in quality when the game shifts to the new cutscenes that weren't in the og.
