I remember old boxers when asked how they trained to be so great they answer was “just box” 😂😂

What he’s basically saying is if you’re not injured and looking to build muscle like a gym bro, don’t worry about targeting proprioception

Yes and proprioception is always targeted to some degree with any movement, it’s just a matter of more or less. There does not seem to be benefit of over emphasizing proprioception training beyond the demands of your end goal, especially when it comes at the expense of reduced strength and power output.

Im also a physical therapist and proprioceptive training on various surgaces for ankle injuries is absolutely necessary and best practice. IAOM agrees

I like the Bosa ball for mobility work, stretching, and isometric holds. I might do a few air squats on it as a warmup but not a primary exercise.

There’s something to be said for fun, interesting, and uniquely challenging exercises to spice up the routine weight training

I don’t think anyone is arguing what people should and shouldn’t be doing for fun here. It’s from the perspective of personal trainers and coaches of athletes that don’t actually know what they’re doing, so they have their athletes do stuff with bosu balls assuming it’s having some magical effect, when it reality it’s less than ideal in most situations.

does this apply to the instability caused by training with gymnastic rings?

Thoughts on using bosu balls for rehab of non-athletes? Say for an ankle sprain.

If your goal is to look like Dr Mike, do as he says. I rather pick my mentors by how overall fit they are, how mentally healthy they remain, how well they age.

What is the strawman being presented and knocked down? Do you even know what a strawman is?

@@nichtsistkostenlos6565 Why all of the anger and accusations over a simple observation? I would be glad to tell most anyone what the OBVIOUS strawman is, but not drama queens.
