Ew, that was a tough task. The NBA series from 2K does deliver very authentic graphics, even the early releases. We took the last three from the series, NBA 2K16, NBA 2K17 and the newest addition, NBA 2K18, for a comparison of the evolution over the last three years. And it was hard to spot any notable differences. The overall presentation surely has leveled up here and there with NBA 2K17 and NBA 2K18, adding a few more elements to an already highly polished game. With NBA 2K18 the Streetball feature has grown up since NBA 2K16. The flexibility of the camera also suffers from some restrictions in NBA 2K16. The bottom line: The players and the arenas do look fine in all three games.
Reminder: The actual graphic is more crisp. UA-cam has some limits and a very harsh compression algorithm.

I think 2k actually does scale back the graphics a bit to make room for extra stuff. I mean look at 2k14. the entire court lighting and overall atmosphere of that game was delicious yet moving forward things seemed toned down
yeah, disc space. maximum is 50gb or something, wish they'd just make a 2 disc bundle or something and just go all out but oh well better than nothing.

My gaming experience has opened up when quitting the mycareer bullshit.
I'm playing Myleauge with a created player on player lock,same thing as mycareer, without the VC hunt,plus I can customise every aspect of the game.

Honestly 2K 16 is much a better rounded game and a lot more fun to play the commentary seemed more realistic in 16 and the feeling in the stadium really made the game come alive I was very disappointed when I bought 18 to me it was a big letdown and a step backwards.

In terms of graphics, all three are just about a match. I own 2k16 and 2k18. 2k18 feels so lose when you move your player that it's like the most sensitive steering wheel ever. You move it slightly and your car veers.

2K18 is even worse, the connection problems, less details on the face creation, the shot meter and even the gameplay has been kinda worst. 2K were trying to make more details that they forgot the gameplay and the stuff that actually meter.

I think the reason 2k16 looks better is because they dumped a crap load of shine and reflection on everything (And the fact that its a little more cartoony each yr). I think the actual technical “graphics” are better each yr, but they made everything kinda muted.
