Event Horizon - Trailer [HD]

- I noticed that there were no proper HD versions of the Event Horizon trailer to be found anywhere on youtube, so I decided to recreate it.
The audio is simply lifted from the original trailer, but all the clips have been re-inserted from the BluRay copy of the film.
I tried to match as many of them as I could, but some of the clips were from deleted scenes which were later destroyed, therefore I've had to replace some of them with alternatives from other parts of the movie.
This was fun, I enjoyed putting this together, so if anyone has any requests of movies where you want an updated HD trailer that's otherwise unavailable...let me know and I'll make one. :)
Most underrated gem. The artwork is simply stunning....the ships, rooms, switches and everything radiated the same atmosphere Alien did back in 1979. Superb.
It's like Alien as seen by Clive Barker
if you remember that game Doom... only in space
I agree, the atmosphere (from set design and audio/visual design as a whole) was soooo good in this movie. It failed on other levels though (IMO.)
as if doom invented the concept of opening a portal to hell. bitch please.
NOT underrated. It was a hit. I remember this movie in the cinema, pretty freaking awesome to rewatch
saw this movie when I was 17/18. scared the living shit out of me. the design of the ship was so creepy and the core room with the rotating hoops was spooky as hell.
+papa smurf Its a messed up movie.
The bridge Front Room are Head of a Alien, and the connecting corridor in middle are larva ot Alien egg. The Core are an Egg from Alien.
Neil are u in nj??
Now when I watch it, I can see where Dead Space took a lot of influences. Good stuff.
Oh yeah, even the hell without religion aspect of it. It's worse than hell. It's a deminsion of chaos and pain. It's like the comic book crossed, but a whole universe
exactly what i though yesterday watching the movie the first time...
actually the guy was in a different realm not sure if this was the main thing, but could be, i watch a doc about him and man it crazy and well done for him for going into that realm, dead space was and is a gem believe it or not BUT DAMNIT THOSE DAMN BABIES AHHHHHHHHHHHH
The creator of Dead Space did say he was heavily influenced by this movie, if it wasn't already plainly obvious lol.
Aged so freaking well. Deserves a blu-ray purchase no doubt.
When I saw the propulsion core i thought to myself: "Man, people in the future should really fire the engineers who decided to build spaceships dark and unpleasant with lots of spikey things."
I know right. And we can't forget the giant hole in the floor with no warnings what so ever.
Also human resources should check the resume of the guy who build the machine deck like a parcour where lobes and pistons try to sqash you.
Only Humans could make such an idiotic flaw in a spaceship. I wonder who thought that design was a good idea? And who APPROVED it?
the gravitron drive is real. The 'UFOs' that come around here use a spinning mass to create a torsion field. The Nazis used spinning liquid mercury on their saucer craft. Modern shadow govt craft uses a spinning plasma field for the same effect.
Yeah. Sure.
Can't believe Paul W.S. Anderson made this, this film is good.
this is probably one of the most terrifying NON-ALIEN sci fi movie and i love it!
Remember that one evening - my bro was occupying the computer and I didn't have much to do. Let's go to the living room and... oh, Event Horizon? I don't know this one, let's pop this sucker into the DVD player, could be a good movie.
And then I was scared shitless...
Love this movie. It still stands up very well to this day. Crazy how much older these actors(and me) are now, lol
This is one of my all time favorite films and it scarred me as a kid lol. Now, I watch it and appreciate it for the masterpiece ‘tis. They sure don’t make ‘em like this anymore.
This is what happens when you travel through the Warp unprotected.
You really get, at least I did, warhammer 40k vibes with this film.
@@Astralwolf23 probs the other way around, warhammer took inspiration from this one
@@maxsimes warhammer 40k came out in 1987 this movie came out in 1997... i dont think i need to say anything more than this
@@superlo3857 then you are right.
unprotected warp sex leads always to DEATH
the mother of all creepy sci fi movies
As I'm really mesmerized by Event Horizon ship, I don't wanna go inside it. The interiors really creep me the hell out.
it gives me a Sphere vibe. Plus Pinhead called and he wants his "such sights to show you" line back.
That line was purposely used to pay tribute to pinhead
My first scifi combined horror movie. Did not get sleep for couple of days until I could warp my mind around it. One of my favourite movies.
And that is why we use a Geller Field when traveling through the Warp
I saw this at the cinema when it came out. It's been one of my favourites ever since.
My friends don't like this movie. But this is one of my favorite movies. I've watched it about 3 times.
What are you doing here Markiplier?
Markplier hi markiplier
You're not the real Markiplier!
Hands down the scariest movie I've ever seen. I had trouble going to sleep for weeks after watching it.
Then you must watch conjuring , Insidious, mama...then you'll know the real fear. This movie was shit.
mama scared you? It was a fucking fairy tale bro.
+Sangam Kumar non of those movies are scary lol
These are jump scare movies.
I prefer when a film is terrifying by not startling you, but employing a pervasive sense of horror without being in your face.
For example the first Blair Witch Project. The tension was palpable. You never actually saw the witch, but you knew it was there. The horror you don't see is a lot more terrifying than the horror that jumps in your face with loud audio for a split second.
Conjuring was just full of these cheap jump scares.
Watch BWP.
I honestly didn't expect much from this movie. I thought it was going to be some cheesy horror movie. Holy fuck it wasn't. I am in fact scarred for life. 10/10
i watched this when i was like 6 or 7, now im 18 and finding it again!! happy to of found it.
After watching this movie I'm pretty sure it just traveled to the Cenobite dimension from Hellraiser
Worst, the Warp
Someone forgot their Gellar Field, me thinks.....
You don't know about it if this never happens... :)
Haha, back then they thought showing the whole movie in the trailer was a great idea. Thank God they know better now! New movie trailers like Batman v Superman would never - oh, wait a minute...
Thank you! I saw this movie here on UA-cam about a year ago and loved it but I completely forgot the name of it. Of course it has been deleted. Very good horror flick.
This film is deeply unsettling with a palpable sense of doom. I remember being terrified when I saw it as a teenager and I still cringe at the "bathtub" scene as well as the absolutely horrifying glimpses of "where" the ship has been and what happened to the crew--the latin inclusions were chilling.
Did no one find it odd to hear people speaking Latin? It's a dead language today that no country still uses as an official language. I can't see anyone using it in the future in a sci fi movie. It was just put in to be mysterious.
I think some of the more conservative branches of Catholicism still use Latin in their mass...but that's about it. But I agree it was likely meant to be disconcerting in that it's a dead language and sounds archaic and mysterious and very formal.
This movie is at once way better than it should be and nowhere near as good as it deserves to be. One of my faves, for sure!
Hey, Bilbo Baggins, how are you?
one of the best horror scifi out there
naffster33 Film critics all over America disagree with you. This turd of a movie scored a 24% on rotten tomatoes.
Holymakinaw
WHo cares what Film Critics say? If you enjoy a movie you enjoy a movie. A number wont change. that.
Fipse Sure but they tend to be RIGHT, is all I'm saying. This movie did indeed suck.
Holymakinaw
No they are wrong most of the time. AVATAR has 83% on Rotten Tomatoes and is at least as bad as Event Horizon.
Fipse LOL. Uh........yeah. You've just proven that you don't know what you're talking about.
You're welcome! Glad you liked it! It's a great movie, so... :)
"Hell is only a word, the reality is much much worse".
This is a good movie. Nice made. Its is before its time.
Excellent sci-fi horror movie! Watched it recently and enjoyed it very much.
"enjoyed it "...do we talk about the same movie !!!
This film is very very good and seriously underrated and has been one of my favourite Sci-Fi horrors for a long time
Nothing a few custodians cannot handle
Alternate Title: Warhammer 40K: The Prologue .
fuck this film, fuck everything to do with this film, i damn near had nightmares about this shit. i am never afraid of films but this one scared the living shit out of me.
Same
Wow, 33 years later I'm now finding out about this movie. I have no excuses, I was stuck on Resident Evil game series since then to present 😅. I have to watch this movie now. Better late (forever late) than never.
Add a geller field and it will be dandy!
(WH 40k fans will get this :) )
I see... You are a man of Warhammer 4000 as well
Best. Horror. Movie. Ever. - I'm not easily scared, The Exorcist? Meh... But this one even gave me nightmares. Along with Hellraiser one of the most horrific films.
***** Ive seen Hellraiser, and later on I read the book upon it was based, written by Clive Barker. Nice movie.
I think these movies play on the idea that you're being punished for something you "know" you shouldn't have done. Hellraiser was "just don't open the box" just as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was "just don't mess with nature/reanimate the dead" or (also a Clive Barker tale) in Candyman where you're safe as long as you "just don't say his name" in front of the mirror. It's the DARING to do something you shouldn't that kills you in the end. In this case it's "just don't push beyond the bounds of our world with science"...and there's consequences.
The Emprah didn't protect
This was infact why the game Dead space was made. Thx to this game and Resident evil 4.
When imperial engineers review a case of dysfunctional gellar fields and the scribes are keeping comments on said case...
"Make us whole again, Isaac."
Luckily for us, The Emperor protects
This movie was by no means a flop! It should have been given its proper allotted time for production! One of the best sci-fi movies I have ever seen!!! Cleverly done and scared the shit out of me!
Scariest film of the 1990s. Thankfully there wasn't a sequel.
That's right. The ending left on an ambiguous note.
+Mateus Honrado Thank you! Best to leave well enough alone! Man, that footage... Scariest movie I've seen, period. The 2005 remake of Amityville Horror wasn't so bad, too!
Great sci fi movie I first saw this as a kid growing up and I remember it scaring me. Ut comes very close to the darkness of the aliens series
i have watched the movie ,absolutly loving it, best scenes were shot at that time
I was so, SO obsessed with this trailer simply because of Sam Neil due to Jurassic Park. I am so sad the original reels are forever lost. Who stores film reels in a salt mine?!
To all warhammer fans: this is what it was like when humanity first discovered the warp...
"ill never tell, youll have to watch my films to understand 🤣"
Nothing is more intriguing than DARK
"There is a terrible darkness descending upon the galaxy, and we shall not see it ended in our lifetimes."
INQUISITOR CZEVAK
Warhammer 40k
Do u think it has anything to do with cern?
The best horror movie I have ever seen !!Some scenes was so dark....but I loved it.
People like to talk about accessibility like it's a new thing, but Paramount had the concept on lock in 1997. They made a film you don't need eyes to see.
Good trailer. Didn't give away too much of the plot.
Awesome movie! It's nice to see a horror flick where the protagonists don't walk away. In the end they are driven to insanity.
My most favorite movie.
A guy told me he thinks this is the best Doom Movie and he'll make a vid about why he likes it so much. If this is truly like a Doom movie hell Im down with it!
Yeah this movie was one of the best ones I have seen
DEAD SPACE 1,2,3 BROUGHT ME HERE.
Why am i seeing this 22 years late
This is truly one of the greatest SF films of our time - and it will endue because, despie the supposedly 'outdated' physics, its basic premises are all too real. In 'reality' the Event Horizon', having reached the orbit of Neptune in preparation for the 'Jump' - went nowhere. The crew suffered a collective psychotic breakdown - as often happens with groups under stress... This film is a warning - both for future Mars missions and for interstellar projects...
What the fuck are you even talking about. In the movie they show multiple times that the crew did go somewhere, in another dimension that looks a lot like hell, that's the whole point of the story. Also, I don't think anyone in his right mind considers this movie a "warning" - well, maybe towards bad cinematography it might be.
you're a fucking moron. they went to hell. its quite clear they did.
We don't need a warning. We should have one.. but we don't need one because we aren't going anywhere. Humans are dismal and completely/utterly confined to our tomb world. Who gives a fuck if it's flat or round either. The vast cosmos is so far beyond our reach and if it were within our reach we probably would end up completely disappointed or better yet destroyed by it's lack of morality, spirituality, kindness, usefulness, let alone humanity etc etc.
Reminds me of the cloverfield paradox. It was a good movie.
I heard about this movie when I watched an episode of Family Guy (Stew-roids) last year. I've seen it three times since then!
Event Horizon is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and is considered the discovery of Warp by humanity
I saw it back in the '90s and loved the look, but kept wondering when something cool or scary was supposed to happen. It just didn't register with me. I had already heard much of the theories and concepts elsewhere before the film came out, but it was if I was supposed to be scared by hearing them again. I wasn't.
Best sci-fi movie ever! As a kid I always shit my pants when shows this on tv...
...actually I'm still scared :D
As a child I didn't get much of it thinking everyone of the ship was just crazy, only watching recently I got to apreciate it :D
Nicaraguall Sorry, but this is a terrible film, and the vast majority of movie critics out there agreed with me.
edujackass That's true and not everyone has to agree with critics at all. I'm glad Event Horizon is now considered a cult classic and was in WatchMojo's Top 10 Good Films by Bad Directors video.
um interstellar wins that title hands down, and is the most important sc-fi movie ever as it not shows interstellar travel, but reports humanitie's search for a new world to live on, as the crew travel to another solar system which has a massive black hole, as the earth in the film has been devastated by a continuous blight and dust storms, meaning the generation on earth will be the last to survive on earth, only one crop is left that can be grown by the time the spacecrew set off to find a new home for humans.
They need to make a Second film... Like if you agree...
It isn't bad in a machine sort of way, but it's a sort of mash up of 2001 and Forbidden Planet with a little primitive theology pasted in for no obvious reason except that it is supposed to explain all the unpleasantness that is going on in the minds of the characters. Nice sort of ailien encounter movie up until the end.
goddamn, how have I never seen this before??1
They Could've Made my Wanna Throw up in I was Three
best 40k movie to date, even if unintentional
Is this the movie where Sam Neill or another actor explains what the wormhole by folding a piece of paper and sticking a pencil through it? Cinema sins said that that one space movie with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway stole from it
Yep, this is the movie.
They should either make a sequel or a remake of this badass sci-fi/horror movie
Sequel yes! Remake? This Masterpiece?

You can't leave, she won't let you...
Paul W.S. Anderson's first and last good movie.
hopefully they release a version with some of those missing footage spliced back into the movie as it should've been. Even if it is only 5 minutes
Be careful; it knows your secrets and your fears
Jurassic Park, the Matrix and StarFleet Discovery lol
(did that mirror universe starfleet captain actor get type cast as someone who goes between dimensions or what? lol )
Just saw this movie, Scariest movie in my life
This film had promise but it went downhill at a rapid rate imo. The script went missing along with the ship. There's a couple of moments in the film where I'm sure Sam Neil and Joey Richardson smirk as if they know they're in a Turkey. Shame as the special effects are good (even by today's digital standards) and the actual premise is interesting but the whole thing is just a bit wooden.
You can blam executive meddling for that. They were forced to remove half an hour of footage from the final cut because of the higher ups.
Giggleboy Gets Involved With Video Games
UNFortunately they extra scenes have been lost and unless someone who cares a whole lot about this movie looks for em they will never be found
Iv GOT It On Dvd It's One Of The Best Sci-fi Movies I own
Oh my god Morpheus was slim once! Who knew!
He's even slimmer and younger in Apocalypse Now (1979), when he called himself Larry Fishburne.
I’ve never watched this movie but from the comments, everyone either thinks it’s the best film ever made or the worst film ever made, no inbetween.
REMAKE! Awesome movie!
still one of my favourites moveis!
This movie had more Doom feel in it than the actual Doom movie(notice how I don't mention the 2019 abomination).
i watche dthe movie yesterday... i liked it it was very good! they could make second part since the end was "open"
they dont make movies like this anymore.
a real good classic scifi !!
You can tell a movie is going to be good by the voice of the one who's doing the narration. Big treble voice = bad movie. Simple informative voice = good movie.
For real? I heard that Japanese people are good in Math and that Americans always eat fatty burgers.
If you've seen what i've seen son!
Please make part 2 thank you ...
For some reason, I can't stop laughing when I hear Justin saying: "oooh my gooood" in this trailer, but it's not funny when he says it in the movie though.
this movie scary
I liked the film except the gore made me uneasy which films never do . Great cast
I see... BOOOOMMMMM!!!!
Cuando viajas a través de la Disformidad sin el campo Geller...
This movie gave me a lot of nightmares
