Thank you, Penny. That’s a good way to look at it. And it also highlights my point about video poker. I’m not “playing for the Royal” but over time, eventually (usually sooner than later) one of the “1,2,3, or 4 to the Royals”convert. So it’s either a $20,000, $40,000, or an $80,000 Royal when it does hit. And that’s the point. I’m “not” playing for the Royal and that’s “why” I’ve hit so many of them! I don’t care about winning or losing any individual session; I’m just waiting for my Big Royal to show up. I’m waiting for Royal # 38 at this time. The last 4 Royals (over the past 12 months) add up to $122,000. That’s “why” I play video poker. $1,000 was put in and $122,000 was won!🌎
Love the videos. As a very frequent and successful player of VP I have one thing to say to armchair quaterbacks, no matter how anyone choses their cards, it is their money at risk. $5, $10, & $20 Coin play eventually paves the way to playing consistently on $25 & $50 Coin. $20 Coin Quads are so much more impactful than $10 Coin. Just a simple $20 Coin Quad allows the player to cash-out, $2,500, and then take that $2,500 bankroll to go play solid sessions on $2 Coin. Ultimately an $8,000 Royal will come out of the $2 Coin play (which can then be used on $20 Coin play) to go for an $80,000 Royal. At that point, (after hitting the $80,000 Royal) I would then take $50,000 (out of the $80K) and go play $25, $50, & $100 Coin machines. Any Royal then hit, amounts to life changing wins. It sounds like “theory” on paper, but I have been gradually scaling-up all my Royal Flush wins over time towards doing just what I described. I’ve hit 37 Royals in my 10 year playing time, just 12 of those Royals add up to $250,000 in wins. As I continue with my channel and scale up my play accordingly, folks watching my UA-cam channel will be witness to the most explosive wins in video poker that they’ve ever seen. It’s a very gradual evolution of high denomination play. All of this will play out during the next 3 years on John’s World. Stay-tuned, Terry, you’ll be seeing some extraordinary wins! The best is yet to come!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I guess they call me the “professor” for a reason😂, but actually, Slotmassacre & John’s World, are opposite sides of the “Same Video Poker Coin”. Andrew is a very knowledgeable and astute video poker player. He’s a very savvy, articulate, and confidant young man. I love him like he’s my baby brother, but I look up to him as if he were my older brother. If it weren’t for him, there would definitely be no John’s World of Video Poker. When I saw his 1st video at the beginning of the pandemic (on UA-cam), my heart stopped for a moment; as I thought to myself, “Hey, this guy KNOWS what I know about video poker. I just HAVE to meet him!” So I did (and now together) we’re creating history (that’s how I see it) because we’re going to do something BIG in video poker. But you are correct that we each have our own style of play. He’s a gunslinger from the Wild West (bold, brash, smart and fiercely competitive). I, on the other hand, am a little more measured, conservative, and analytical in my “approach” to the game. Andrew has greatly impacted my life more so than anyone else. He made me a “UA-camr”😝! He has influenced and given me insights into the game; and I, in turn ,have also influenced him. We are evenly matched in work ethic and are equal when it comes to our own “specific” game. (He on TDB & me on BP). But he is much more knowledgeable than I am on video poker. However, we both share the exact same dedication and passion for video poker itself. So even though we are different in our “approaches” to the games, we are “one” when it comes to video poker. Put two like minded die-hard video poker players together on one platform such as UA-cam, and you just know that something good is bound to come out of it. I believe that 2 years from now as, Andrew & I, work together and separately, we will dominate the video poker landscape on UA-cam. Thank you for your support, Bobby. You have a front row seat on the best that’s yet to come in video poker. It’s going to blow your mind!♥️🙌🏻🌎🌎
John, your soothing voice is very relaxing. As you were hitting those full houses as I was thinking to myself who needs quads; and then you hit quad 5's. For a brief moment I thought it was my hit. I haven't played big coin-in since November. The stock market correction has me down about 35 dollar royals, so no desire to play currently. My host contacted me to make sure every things ok. LOL I plan to go to battle next month to take advantage of 5X tier credits on $2 9/6 JoB. Take care, Mark
Thank you, Mark. I vary my play between mid-denomination & high denomination play quite frequently, and often ebb & flow with the economy as well. I’m in no hurry to blow a lot of money or win a lot of money. I have the next 3 years already plotted out and I stick to my plan. Naturally, I adapt to changing conditions too because it’s the smart move to make. I’m as content playing video poker at home on a simulator as I am in the casino. My hosts reach out to me too. I’m not sure if it’s for my well-being or “theirs”!😂 The $2 Coin is still my all around “go to” denomination. It allows for a decent $8,000 Royal which can be used for many different purposes inside or outside the casino. I view the world in terms of 1 year, 3 year, 5 year, and 10 year time frames. Those blocks of time give me the urgency that I need to accomplish my goals in the short term, but more importantly, the long term view keeps me more level-headed and measured so that I don’t get ahead of myself in a frenzy to reach my long term goals. Thank you for your insights and comments. Good luck on the $2 coin 9/6 JoB!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
These are generic soundtracks taken from an audio library for use on UA-cam to cover-up copyrighted music that may occur in the casino. It never occurred to me that it was reminiscent of…….😊
Hopefully, you have access to 8/5 BP pay tables. 7/5 BP pay tables will do (if that’s all you can find in your area) but the goal is to work your way up to higher denomination coins using 8/5 BP. It’s a balancing act between: bankroll size, having access to 8/5 BP pay tables, and being able to scale up to the higher coin denominations when the machine happens to be on a good run.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I stay on the down low as well as the occasion or situation calls for it. All of it plays a role over time towards your success in video poker. Great Job!🌎

Thank you, Joe Joe. I may have gone on a little too long on the explanations because it interrupted the “flow” somewhat, but little by little, I’m learning in the process and will find a good balance between those 2 opposing forces. I’m glad you enjoy the videos and thank you for your support.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Really enjoy the videos. Learning a lot from you and Slotmassacre. He slowed down so it would be easier to follow along while viewing. It does make things easier so see how he bets and his strategy. Ever think of cutting back about 1/4 of your current speed?
These videos were filmed on one weekend in Las Vegas, and it was my 1st time out, using a tripod. I didn’t realize until after I was finished filming and went to edit the videos that it was played too fast for viewer comfort. I still have 2 videos that were filmed in that manner, but after those are released (here in March) all subsequent filming will be done with the machine set at the slowest setting. Plus, it will help me minimize making errors too.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker thanks! I am enjoying a renewed interest in the game due to you and Slot Massacre and the Casino Guys. Thanks for the videos! They are my daily mental exercises.
Hopefully you have access to some decent pay tables in the casino market where you live. Good pay tables have a lot to do with your enjoyment and success with the games. Which casinos are accessible to you?🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker OMG I replied but I guess I didn't send it. So sorry. We are in the Phoenix area, Gila River Indian's "Wild Horse Pass" has 9-6 DDB and 7-5 BP. Of the 7 or 8 in our area, that is the best for video poker. I generally play DDB and do okay. I am wondering if I should switch to BP for less volatile and more consistent winning, however. Even if it has a lower pay table.
No worries. Thanks for the info. That narrows it down for me on the casinos in your area. I would definitely give the 7/5 pay table a try. It requires less bankroll and it’s half as volatile as the the 9/6 DDB. I’ve won at least 10 Royals on 7/5 BP pay tables when it’s been the only pay table available to me. I consider it a “medium-pay” pay table. Practice on a simulator that “warns on mistakes” to make sure your errors are at an absolute minimum due to the pay table not being 8/5 BP.
I would love to. Slotmassacre and I used to talk about doing it in our conversations in the early days, then things got too busy for both of us. Eventually, if my channel gets big enough, I would very much enjoy hosting a tournament with Slotmassacre.🤞🏻🤞🏻🌎
Greetings from Torrance! Hi John! I loved the ending of the video, but most importantly I appreciated the "Mistakes" even more. You brought up many hands that I have run into that I wondered which way to go. Should I hold for a straight or keep the pair? Should I have held these cards instead of those? Everyone has run into this situation, but you are the only person to point out the odds. Folks don't realize that a 9 percentage advantage to the casino is HUGE! There is a Japanese word called "Kaizen". It means "Continuous Improvement" You have taught me that no matter how lucky I could get in a session, I could have done it much better. Thank you sir!
Thank you, Paul, for your contributions to mine and Slotmassacre’s channels with your comments. Having worked for Toyota for many years and having adapted to their ways in manufacturing, I was happy to hear your reference to Kaizen, which is a very healthy way to view video poker. You made me remember the words Jidoka & Kanban from my Toyota days too! Thank you as always for your empowering positive ways!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
How many 1099s do you get in a year? The number one reason I rarely play more than $1 denomination is the endless 1099s. Are you doing these sessions on their 10X multiplier days?
Naturally, I do keep an eye out on multiplier days (when they become available) because of their impact on the tier level score & the associated comp rewards that come with it, but I really don’t concern myself with how many or how little W2-G’s I get in a year. I just place them in a large manila envelope & when it’s tax time, I just hand them over to my tax preparer. I only care about the total dollar amount won or lost in a year. In 2021, I won, $180,000+, paid my taxes on the wins and then moved on into the next tax year. I have won close to $500,000 in just Royal Flushes alone in my playing career with the ultimate goal of having $1,000,000+ in Royal Flush wins. That is all I track, which is the number of Royal Flushes won and their corresponding dollar amounts. My focus now is on hitting $40,000, $80,000, $100,000, $200,000, & $400,000 Royal Flushes to get me the rest of the way to $1,000,000. Those, may or may not, be captured on video, since a lot of casinos that offer higher denomination coin play, don’t always allow filming. But, I really do hope to catch them while recording my play.🫰🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi John I have a question. Is it worth it to play 7/5 bonus poker with a progressive royal of over jackpot $5600 or 8/5 bonus poker with progressive royal of $4500?
8/5 Bonus Poker on a progressive at $4,500 is a 99.4% pay back. 7/5 Bonus Poker on a progressive at $5,600 is a 98.9% pay back. If the 7/5 Bonus Poker progressive gets closer to approximately $6,500 then it comes close to equaling the 8/5 BP at $4,500. The 8/5 game is going to be slightly more “stable” in it’s return due to the better pay table. I would play the 8/5 BP game, and then after you hit Aces on it, take that jackpot and use it as your bankroll on the 7/5 game. You may just hit a $6,500 Royal Flush!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Another great video John. Love your comments and explanations. Slow and steady with a great pay table will get you ahead. Continued luck 🍀🍀. I was in Vegas the same time as the VP gang but stayed on the strip and was never able to make it to Fremont. Some day though…
Thank you, Dakota, for keeping us in mind. I go downtown with the guys because it’s close and they have many options for filming content there such as at: Circa, The ‘D’, El Cortez, and The Golden Gate. I’m more likely to be found at Caesars, Wynn, Bellagio, Cosmo, Venetian, Red Rock, Palace Station, & South Point. I’m sure we’ll cross paths someday. Thank you for your support.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I always think small time........I haven't signed a W-2G in about twenty years. For small potatoes like me I see a net loss. $2500 taxable jackpot and a $75 session win = $550 net loss. I'm a regular Joe that doesn't even have enough in deductions, with all the kids out of the house, to itemize. So I can't even deduct my losses. Quarters it is....LOL! Keep up the great content!
Thank you! I rely on the big wins to overcome my losses in spite of the tax consequences. There’s no getting around it. Gotta pay the government Vig! Quarter play is fine except they are usually on bad pay tables, unless you’re at Red Rock, Palace Station, South Point, M, or other local casinos that still allow for full pay tables at the quarter denomination.🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker I'm in the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area) not too far from you. My local has 8/5 Bonus, 9/6 JOB, 9/5 DDBonus and 9/5 Triple Bonus + all in quarter denom. Good as it gets around here. I think they also have full pay Dueces but I really don't care for that game. I'm a little like Andrew when it comes to Dueces......seems fishy, the amount of natural quads (he calls them dirty quads) and straight flushes with no wilds when it supposedly uses the same law of averages. When I'm in Vegas I'll play Suncoast (when I bring my golf clubs), The Cal, and some of the Stations. Mostly The Cal and Main Street. They've been pretty good to me. Still missing that royal though.......someday I guess. I truly believe some people are just luckier than others. I took your advice, been playing a lot more Bonus Poker but some nights it just doesn't want to cooperate. Thanks for your reply!
Thank you for the update on the pay tables at your local casinos. I wonder what the are the highest denominations available on 8/5 BP & 9/6 JoB? Those 9/5 DDB & 9/5 TDB pay tables are not good however (which I’m sure that you know). Pechanga (which is local to me) is full pay at all coin denominations, from 5¢ coin all the way through the $100 coin level. I like SunCoast, the Cal, Main Street Station in Vegas as well. I’m sure you’ve must have been to Pechanga before, but if not, it’s the closest thing (that you’ll find in the good pay tables) found at Red Rock, outside of Vegas. I’ve really been spoiled by Pechanga over the years.🌎

Thank you, Kim, for your comments and for subscribing. Hopefully, you’re in an area where the casinos have 8/5 Bonus Poker or at least 7/5 Bonus Poker, those extra coin pay outs can really help you in winning more often in the casino. Simulators that “warn on mistakes” are a great tool for mastering the games.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Enjoyed! Tell me...what am I missing? Sweet Surrender/Full house? Been in town for a long time. Even know that $50 bills are unlucky, but I've never heard this sweet surrender thing. What's the connection? Thanks :)
I don’t know where that came from either, I just threw it out there!😂You’re right about the $50 Bill, casinos don’t like them. But I think they’re convenient. Especially if you hand out a $50 Bill as a tip on Big Royals. They’re like oversized $5 Bills!😂🌎
@@videopokerwynn 😆It's not the "lifetime errors" that matter, but rather, the "lifetime wins". I've been fortunate to have won enough money on video poker during the 1st 10 years of my play, that there is no longer a "risk of ruin" in my future play. I have zero ego invested in whether or not there are errors in my play. Nor do I claim to be a so-called "expert" in the games. I am merely sharing my "video poker journey" with those who may care to watch. I can say, however, that financially I am a lifetime net winner in video poker. And that's not likely to change, as I only go to the casino on "average" of once of month and I manage my money very well. What Martin may be referring to is, that "in spite" of all the "5" errors that I made while playing, is that; I didn't "lose a dime".🌎
Thank you, Martin. I believe that 8/5 Bonus Poker has contributed to my being patient. It’s a “Grinder’s Game” and it rewards the Player’s patience with Big Coin Royals.☺️🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
In my earlier days, I used to do that. Nowadays, you just go to the cashier’s cage and get a “purchase voucher” in any amount that you would like. On the main floor, the machines will only accept a $3,000 voucher maximum. If you were to put in a $5,000 voucher (out on the main floor) the machines will reject the voucher (if it’s over the $3,000 main floor limit). I get them in $1,000 increments, so I can easily re-load with the $1,000 vouchers. In the High Limit area, you can buy vouchers for higher amounts that won’t be rejected by the machines inside the high limit room.😁🌎
I need more information because it’s not clear to me what you’re asking? I didn’t realize that I was playing too fast at the time. All content filmed after March (which is already filmed and can’t be changed) will be at the slowest speed setting on the game. Playing too fast almost always results in too many errors. So it is actually a disadvantage to play too fast.😁🌎
This session was a while ago, but as I recall, I was moving from one machine to another and forgot to move the Player’s Card along with me. I discovered this (after the fact) and had the slot manager review my play through surveillance and “to credit” the missed coin-in to my card, which they did. So I got a full credit & accounting towards my tier score & comps. Good eye, Martin, in noticing that.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
So cool! I really like Laughlin. I’ll put your dates on my calendar. I don’t know whether or not I’ll be going there on those dates, but if I do go at that time, I’ll give you a heads-up so we can play!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I visualize that specific win constantly and that’s exactly why I’m going to hit it. What you think about, comes about! Thank you, Susana, for your positive vibes!😝🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I appreciate your input. Please take a moment to put a timestamp of the hand in question, of where it occurred, in your comments. In that way, the timestamp will show-up in blue in the comments. Then, everyone can just click on the blue time stamp & it takes the viewer to that exact spot in the video for review. It is so much easier that way, otherwise, everyone has to re-watch the entire video in order to see what you're referring to. Also, proper strategy, is a "long term" strategy, based on "infinite bankroll". In a session, (especially if it's not going well) I sometimes adopt a "short term" strategy "in the moment". Having a small pair convert to something better (in the short term), is actually easier to accomplish than to hit a 1 in 1,081 on 3 to the Royal. So in the "long term view", you are correct. In the "short term view", so am I. An example of playing a "short term view" strategy would be to have 3 Aces & a small pair showing for a Full House on the 1st draw. The proper play would be to hold the Full House in Bonus Poker. If I were on a $100 coin machine where the pat Full House pays $4,000, but 4 Aces pays, $40,000, with a 2 out of 47 chance of hitting the 4th Ace (if I drop the Full House & go for the 4 Aces)...then I'm absolutely taking that "gut shot" and going for the $40,000 4 Aces! Is that the "proper" long term strategy..? Absolutely NOT! Am I going to dump that Full House..? Absolutely, and you can "Bet" on it. Now THAT'S gambling!
Good for you, Kathy. I’m so happy to hear it. There are swings in volatility, of course, but the simulator practice, the 1,000 coin bankroll minimum, and denomination spread, greatly increases your prospect of success on the games!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
This is a shill, right? The Stations casinos are no longer a good place to play. The points and multipliers have been devastated and their offers are garbage now as well.
I have no affiliation with Red Rock or any other Stations properties as far any financial benefits go. I’m just a passionate advocate of a great casino group when I see one. I understand how you feel when it comes to casino cut-backs when it comes to comps and their rewards system. I’m not renewing my 7-Stars Status at Eldorado/Caesars either because they eliminated the Diamond Lounges, their parking schtick that doesn’t recognize my Diamond Elite or 7-Stars status (when going in & out of the garages) are a hassle, they don’t automatically upgrade me to the best room available as advertised for 7-Stars members, so I’m kind of done with them. By the same token, I don’t “play for comps” anyway. I’m just there to win at video poker. Most of the time that works out and sometimes it doesn’t. I spread my money all over town and get comped everywhere I go as far as RFB goes. But comps are not my focus. They are there, and I use them, but they aren’t the be all/end all for me. I merely see them as incidentals.🌎
I have so many goals about where I want to take this channel that I primarily just try to keep the main thing, “the main thing” and grow in every area along the way. I like the rewards that come with being focused on the process. I take it all in stride. Thank you for liking and subscribing to my channel. I truly appreciate that!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Even is a giant , win , lots of points and comps and 75.00 for dinner 🥰 thanks for sharing John

Great video John!! Quad 5s on $20 coin looks real nice!!
The best is yet to come!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Love the video- thanks for taking time to explain mistakes and thoughts

John your way of playing is way better than slot MASS..he cannot not teach you much. his play is wild..you have a good idea about grinding

Enjoyable video, keep them coming John.
Thank you, Chuck. I appreciate the comments!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
music sounds like something in a adult film!
These are generic soundtracks taken from an audio library for use on UA-cam to cover-up copyrighted music that may occur in the casino. It never occurred to me that it was reminiscent of…….😊
Just quadrupled my coin on bp today... You're right about it being the bread and butter when trying to get the bankroll built up
Hopefully, you have access to 8/5 BP pay tables.

Would love for you guys to host tournaments!!! Is that happening this year?
@@johnsworldofvideopoker thanks. I'm in tahoe right now. The 8/5 progressive is now $5000 royal flush while the 7/5 progressive royal is at $5700.
Put a little action on both of them, more so on the 8/5 BP than the 7/5 pay table. Good luck!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎😝

I've never had to include gambling wins in my taxes, but wouldn't you deduct losses and only pay tax on your annual net win?
That’s exactly what happens when you itemize. You’re allowed to deduct losses up to the value of your wins.🌎

@@videopokerwynn No human plays perfectly. John’ s bankroll management, strategy and patience are very impressive.
I can’t wait to play $1,000 Coin!😝🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
so you stand there for 5minutes loading up the machine with 100 dollar bills?
Is there an advantage to playing as though you're late for a once in a lifetime cruise?
I need more information because it’s not clear to me what you’re asking? I didn’t realize that I was playing too fast at the time. All content filmed after March (which is already filmed and can’t be changed) will be at the slowest speed setting on the game. Playing too fast almost always results in too many errors. So it is actually a disadvantage to play too fast.😁🌎
I believe they are referring to playing fast instead of taking your time to make sure no mistakes are made.
Oh yes, you’re right. She left out the word “fast”! Thank you, Brad!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
I’m guilty of it myself sometimes. Luckily it’s never led to a massive mistake I prefer massive handpays instead!
Massive Royals are the way to go!😝🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Just realized you are not using your player's card. Is that on purpose?
This session was a while ago, but as I recall, I was moving from one machine to another and forgot to move the Player’s Card along with me. I discovered this (after the fact) and had the slot manager review my play through surveillance and “to credit” the missed coin-in to my card, which they did. So I got a full credit & accounting towards my tier score & comps. Good eye, Martin, in noticing that.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Just got back from Reno Nv.. Played bonus poker for four hours. It must have dealt me four to the royal four times and didn’t get the royal☹️

One more take single pair and broke royal 3 card draw...
Sweet surrender

I know right?!!!❤🤣
, the multi denom ,for me ,has been successful. Great addition to my over all play and outcome .
