Cretu was only the producer. Hubert Kemmler (Hubert Kah) was the writer. Er hat die meisten Songs für Sandra geschrieben. Er singt auch die männlichen Parts in ihren Songs, was für den Sandra Sound unverwechselbar war.
In the 80s I loved this Franco-German singer! I always remember when she speaks in French with the successes of the group Enigma ... it was so mystical ...
sandra was born in germany, saarbruecken. she is not franco-german. her ex-husband michael cretu (born in romania) was her producer and he is/was also behind enigma.

Peter Ries is the background singer on Maria Magdalena music video as well as In the heat of the night & Innocent Love, but he is lip syncing in the Maria Magdalena video to Cretu’s voice. Hubert Kah & Hubert Kemmler are the same person right? I watched an intervju with Peter Ries who said his backround singing in videos (The guy playing base guitar in Maria Magdalena) was sometimes lipsyncing on these music videos.

I am a big SANDRA fan from Spain since 1986. Heaven Can Wait remains one of her best! Shot in my country in Ibiza. I Used to take German tourist to the church shown in the video and talked about Sandra.
Background vocals as shown in the video were from Hubert Kemmler who used to write for Sandra. He said to me he found it funny a camera was really close to his face to shot his part in the music video!! Beautiful video ever from 1988. Big hit all around in summer 1988. He's a german producer, componist snd remixer.
There's this project by his wife - Susanne Kemmler called Slavik...Kemmler, the style is very similar to Hubert Kah & Sandra. No, is not Greece... is Spain.
Specifically the island of Ibiza.
Sandra Lauer, who began her career in the German trio Arabesque, became a partner of composer Michael Cretu, creator of these songs.
The couple settled in Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands, where Cretu set up the A.R.T. studio. where these albums came from, in many cases inspired by this Mediterranean environment.
From there also arose the "Enigma" project, with Sandra providing the voice even though she was not in the foreground.
