Hello! You guys like Chopin’s Piano Sonatas? In this week, I prepared his “Piano Sonata No. 2 1st movement”. I believe that lots of people who like Chopin’s pieces know his famous “Funeral March”. It is the third movement of the Piano Sonata No. 2. The compositional origins of the Piano Sonata No. 2 are centered on its third movement. So, all movements give a dark ambiance. Which movement is your favorite in Piano Sonata No.2?
Anyway, I hope that you guys like this performance. Thank you! Have a nice day!
Hello! I am first!
Hey, kassia
They are all my favourite ;)
Yess!! 🔥❤️
Hello
Oh yes. One of my favorite sonatas of all time. 3:05 is so powerful and i always get goosebumps when I hear it.
Yes yes me too, although I find this one and many other a little rushed and slowed. My absolute favorite performance is Martha Argerich, It is just wonderful! You should listen. Tell me if you like it.
No 2nd is the most iconic
The fourth movement is also good if you know how to properly listen to it
I love this especially from 0:00 to 5:24
Wow, so you hate the last second? :(
@@CamsieSS😂 lol..
OMG, You are amazing, I love it.
No words... to describe this incredible work!
A hug!
I hate the people who dislike such an amazing performance
Me too
These people probably have a goal to dislike every UA-cam video they see.
Maybe in their culture , the 👎 means like ~
I don't like it but I didn't dislike
1919helio1919 it’s still not very good sportsmanship, considering the work kassia put into it
Since the opening is so similar to Beethoven's last sonata (op. 111) I always wondered if this "Funeral March" sonata was some sort of homage...
Hi, Luke!:) Thank you for your comments💕
i think that is a very guid disvorry & am sure you are right!
🌹
I’m almost sure it is! I’ve read somewhere that Beethoven’s Sonata no. 12 op. 26 was Chopin’s favourite sonata, similar to this, known as “The Funeral March”, often performed and taught to his students by Chopin, with a few radical differences, in form, it still is a homage to Beethoven, with influences from Bach (ex. fourth mvt) and Scarlatti. A change to be named could be, albeit similar third slow-movements, Beethoven’s Scherzo is closer to a minuet while Chopin’s has the elements of a mazurka.
It could be said that this whole sonata is an allusion to Chopin’s favourite Beethoven Sonata.
And also a part from Mozart's Fantasia in c minor.
Superb
Thanks!💕
Guys One thing everyone should remember
Kassia does not learn the piece ,
But the piece comes to her begging her to learn
😎😎😎😎😎
@Mathis Lacroix He meant that Kassia Is too good for the piece
@Mathis Lacroix she*
Mathis Lacroix i was so confused for a sec
Chopin and kassia is simply one of the best combinations ever.
Truer words havent been spoken...
I wonder if she’s close to rosseau
What about Glenn Gould and J.S Bach???
I think that her style fits better with listz
@@raffaeledelsal9737 really?
I always felt like she is good at playing Beethoven 🤔
0:20 my favorite part
0:01 to 5:24 is my favourite part
Too
From 0:00 to 0:48 listen with 1.25x
3:06 to 3:45 is my favourite part
Agree.like kind of anger or anxious
2:04 is short but pure bliss.
I was thinking of a prelude after just hearing it extending it
That’s the part that always gets stuck in my head
Me: wants to play this
My fingers: *No*
I felt this on a personal level
me when I see any Kassia's video:
Now i don't want to do this😡
Me: wants to play this
My fingers:I see you’ve played piano for 6 years haha *no*
I can actually play this but people like unoriginal comments a lot
This is absolutely something unique that noone has played before, i loved hearing this sonata.
Hi, Eljo!:) Thank you for your comment! Personally, I like this piece.💕
type pogorelich and you ll see how it is performed on a another level

"this can wait"
@@jotes2316 although school stuff is important, remember your own well being and health should always be put above that. Sounds like you need a really good break and some de-stressing. I guess try just leave yourself a couple of minutes each day to just relax. Hope everything goes well for you
Yesn’t
I am going to buy a Casio CTX700 keyboard and learn how to play the piano soon. It has always been a dream of mine to play on the same caliber as you or Rousseau. Thank you for inspiring me!
Thank you, Dhrub:)💕

This movement is criminally underrated!
Thanks for the upload
That performance takes my breath away. What beautiful playing, nice job!
Very nice!
Thank you for your words, Ishan:)💕
@@Kassiapiano :) 💞
Oh so well done once again. I think a piece like this needs to have a certain chaos about it, yet somehow still deliberate. You’ve delivered in both ways. Hope to see more Chopin.
I’ve been waiting for this piece to be played for so long!
I love the fact that you priorize classical music. As always, superb performance!
Oh My, That's Fast, If Your Hands Hurt, Pls Take Rest, Also This is Still Soothing To My Ears, This is Amazing!
Thank you!!:)💕
Her hands wouldn't hurt if she played looser
Irodragon I don’t think you how how that works. If you’re hands make one wrong move in this piece. Your wrists can get seriously injured. And she’s played a few pieces before while she was hurt. (Winter wind, Etude no.6, etc.) so actually, her hands could be hurt. Better luck next time
@@texasred7137 why are you simping. Its simple that if your wrists are tense you will hurt yourself, and she only plays with tense wrists. Why don't you learn to play instead of learning to simp
o_o
I love it! I love it! I love it!!!
Thank you so much, I did not know this piece at all except for the 3rd movement of course but it's got to rank high up in my favorite Chopin pieces now.
Hi, uLySse_. I am happy that you love this piece! I will keep introducing lots of great pieces. Thank you!💕
Hey Kassia! 😀 You're so good! So much skill 🤩 and an amazing interpretation! 💕 I loved your chopin nocturne last week too!
Hi, Stephen!:) Thanks much for your words!:) I am so happy to hear that.💕
kassia captures both chopin’s elegance and chaos in this piece. i think it might just be my favorite of all chopin’s sonatas 💕
You are a talented pianist! Keep up good work!:)
Thank you!!💕
You rock so much! I play myself for years and some of your pieces but could never imagine learning them in a few days. Thats amazing work you do!
I wait days for the upload and it sure pays off👏👏👏
Left hand at 1:29 reminds me of the right hand of Chopin's op. 10 no. 5 etude in a particular spot.
Lol :)
Hi, Piano Spiel!! Thank you for your comment:) lol
@@Kassiapiano you're most welcome! 😊💕
Can’t wait for the other movements !
Simply Divine, this Sonata is more than awesome, thank you for choosing to play this! I admire your dedication, this performance was flawless!

1:59 Holy crap after five hours I found a wrong note. The octaves were wrong. HAIIIYYAAAA ngl u did a great job. The Chopin sonata is considered one of the hardest. Good job!
This is one of my favorite pieces of all time, and you have done it incredible justice. One of the best recordings on youtube.
Beautiful kassia, amazing videos
I love this piece and your entire channel!
Amazing! Really captured the emotion and the mood of the mvmt😀😁
Thank you, Horia!💕
Ive been waiting for 2nd movement for 4 years.
Sounds amazing Kassia!! Can you please play Liszt's Romanian Rhapsody S.242 next??

How are you everywhere
@@paolo6219 hello :) Where there is a piano, you will find me
beautiful playing, love it so much
This is just such a beautiful performance, well done. I particular loved your tempo, and how you respected the dynamics of the score. I liked it so much I had to listen to it more than once :). I do love the Funeral march, for sure. But I may prefer the 3rd piano sonata overall (just a matter of personal taste, nothing against the 2nd). Movements 3 and 4 of the 3rd piano sonata are particularly endearing to me. I feel they showcase Chopin's genius with the Piano particularly well (though you could say that about lots of his compositions obviously). I hope you consider playing them one day :)
Kassia, you really stun me everytime. You have a way of playing that makes me very happy and marveled! Amazing performance as always! Stay safe!
I love how everyone just focuses on the third movement, while you decided to play the first, which is just as awesome, if not more.
And I loved your brilliant performance.
Are you going to play the rest of the sonata too? Just wondering.
Hi, Nicola!:) I will try to upload them in the future. Thank you!!💕
i could play any vid of urs and not be disappointed great job keep up the amazing work
Got this notification just before going to bed. Awesome playing, as always! 🔥🔥
Good night, Christian:)💕
This was an amazing performance Kassia! Keep up the good work
Great playing! That was wonderful! 👏👏
I just thought of another piece by Chopin that I would love to hear you play. Ballade no.1
Hi, Jacob!:) I can play Ballades. But, If possible, I want to make the best performance for Ballade No. 1. As you know, a lot of people love Ballade No. 1. Thank you!!💕
@@Kassiapiano yes I totally agree! Take your time

The finale of this sonata is terrifyingly genius and out of this world

Amazing once again kassia!
Thank you!:)💕
I just realized that all of my favorite panio songs on UA-cam are played by Kassia. So, thank you Kassia for helping me fall in love with classical music. 😁
This piece is really apart, I find it very different from other Chopin's pieces, I difficultly recognize his style but... wonderful interpretation, as usual :) Thanks Kassia
P.S. I'm French so I used Google translate to help me (just a little, I promise😅). I hope the translation will be about correct ;)
T'as pas oublié de remercier Google j'espère ?

Please do Nocturne Op. 48 No. 1. I would love to hear your interpretation!
I already played it:) Please check in my channel!💕
Beautiful! Never heard this movement before. Love it
Can you please play sonata tempest first movement by Beethoven. There isn’t much coverage of it on UA-cam cuz it’s pretty hard but you did la Campanella so I know you can do it
I will play it in the future:) Please keep watching. Thank you!💕
theres quite a few interpretations of the tempest sonata on youtube, its not the hardest of his by far, and definitely nothing compared to La Campanella
In fact it is on the easier side. Much easy then this
Redheadedmusician I’ve only seen two interpretations on UA-cam. One automated and the other was made 10 years ago
Charlie I wouldn’t say this is harder
I thought no one on youtube would be mature enough to play the first movement of the 2nd sonata and you just proved me wrong, amazing performance!
Kassia - genius
This is MASTERPIECE!! Kassia, keep your good workk i supoort you :DDD
one of my favourites! thank you!!! :-*

Everyone: Wow, it sounds wonderful! How long do you practice ?
Kassia: Yes
I love it when you play pieces I know. But when you don’t... it much better!
This piece is pretty underrated in my opinion, and you did an amazing job interpreting it! Just a question though, what happened to the fan composer pieces?
Hi, Marc Gadeon:) I am not sure when I can do it.
Omg kassia its veeeeeery beautyfull thx you for your perfomance!!!!
