There seems to be a disconnect between the video and the way she is singing the song. Soft voice, whispering, but then her and a bunch of girls romping around the screen. It just doesn't fit very well. I think the song would probably be better without the video...
I'm not too fond of the song maybe on the 2nd listen? Also not a fan of mv with not much sense but i like that she's having fun tho. Generally i like Billie's artistry i just dont think she showed it much here

To me this is just like the young ladies in one of our out of control cities climbing on top of a cop car and twerking all over it while it is driving through the streets of their city hoping to make the 11 o'clock news. That's kind of how I feel about this video. Billie's better than this low hanging fruit. I don't know how you feel and I may be in a minority. Don't get me wrong I have no problems with sensuality between two people and what she was doing is certainly going to get her attention. I just don't need to see it in my music videos. Like the song of the year WAP, and this one. So I'll pass on this one.

Ever consider that this is what she WANTED to do, conceptually? Luckily you can’t dictate what she does. It’s so bizarre to see someone who is older tell someone who is coming into their own finally that their concept in a music video is low hanging fruit. 🙄 This criticism has been happening for decades to other artists. It just makes you sound closed-minded and judgmental.
I don’t hate this but it’s the first time I feel like one of her songs could have been put out by any multitude of other pop singers. This isn’t unique at all.
