But as it is, there's no logical in-universe reason for the X-01 to be in the Commonwealth.
@ZrACKs ultRa Hmm, that's true. I just think having this Institute power armor instead would've been a bit less of a head-scratcher. A pre-war X-01 prototype being in the Commonwealth still intact and untouched this late into the timeline just makes me wander about the absurd odds of the Sole Survivor finding it.
I think the Institute Power Armor, @@splitjawjanitor5369, could of simply been explained away. One such example would be the Institute began to watch the three BoS's scout teams over the last seven years -- in-game time line. More of a curious case of Institute engineering prowess in Father's earliest days before he became the Father the Institute came to love and adore. The Institute's Power Armor was mostly a rough prototype years ago in his terminal. During the first BoS's Commonwealth visit the Institute "liberated" some complete suits of BoS Power Armor units. From there Father's curious Institute Power Armor designs could finally become a reality. The reason why the Institute Power Armor seems to have no neck is because it was a supposed Father "enhancement". An enhancement to prevent the easy landing of grenades and mines which to easily kill whoever was piloting said Armor. See? Some decent writing could of solved all of that lore problems.
Oh, @ZrACKs ultRa, that is because you lack imagination. If the Institution *really* wanted to be feared have their leading expedition teams outfitted with at least one such Institution Power Armor. Anyone from the Commonwealth who sees such Synth Team(s) is surely to become quite intrigued yet fearful that the Institution is up to vastly more powerful than previously thought. See? Easy explanations.
Nope, @ZrACKs ultRa. On the contrary, I am going with the idea of "Show of Power". Cause a certain sense of Shock and Awe. This way the Institute would easily cause much more rumors of being ultra powerful and highly technologically advanced when in fact they are just showboating their version(s) of Power Armor. I guess you have no idea how to use fear to your advantage.
“Hey Boss, what do you think about this design for Murphy’s chair? I added some more details and...” “Eyy that’s great Mike, but... you know I would much more prefer a normal, boring arm chair”
I mean a big ass wheelchair with a bunch of shit attached to it is kind of weird for the minute men to be kind of rolling around for some old broad, I get it just being some old lady chair means it’s easier on them and it kind of makes more sense but I get what you’re getting at.
Institute power armor wasnt included cause they said it wouldn't make sense...yeah out of everything in Fallout 4 that already doesn't make sense (which is a shit ton) they drew the line at that.
To be honest, they have hunters. So producing new Power Armor wouldn't have any benefit to how rare it would have been used. Except for Humans going on Missions on the Wasteland. I'm not sure.
I think they removed it because it would of been easy to gain a large amount of caps in a short amount of time. In my opinion I think Bethesda wanted the player to go out and explore the world as their main source of income, rather then repeat fights in the Combat Zone. That and because an unarmed build with jet and pyschojet would of made it all too easy to become a millionaire.
Just make it a 3 round fight limit per day (but not make yourself wait) or the caps are shit low and you must level yourself up a lot to get more caps or something
@ZrACKs ultRa there was easily a way they could fix it, In fact they already did in another game. One fight per day with only a small amount of caps gained, similar to the arena from oblivion. I don't know how long it'd take but it wouldn't be that much extra work in my opinion. Tbh a lot of the cut quests feel like they just got lazy and didn't wanna finish making them so they cut it entirely instead of actually finishing it.
Modders do it cause it is their hobby so therefore they do a good job of it and give 10 times the detail. The developers at Bethesda however do it because it is their job and they need the money but it isn’t actually a hobby of theirs and probably don’t enjoy it. Idk really, just my guess.
@Gabriel Moya It's not really a "modified version" of the dragon ai, as that would mean its the exact same, with things extra added in. In reality, the vertibirds use their own Ai, but share the dragon's nav meshing.
@@TheFirstCurse1 I suppose so, but if one animation or nav mesh works for than one thing I'd say to use it. Saves time which allows them to actually finish and implement more of their ideas.

I didn't find the story to be that good but it's not too bad. The thing I liked the most is how they implemented the power armor it's cool but on the other hand I disliked that they give it to you at the beginning of the game. Overall it's not a bad game but the rpg aspect it's just awful: you can't imagine your past, you can't imagine your voice, 4 dialog option that are always the same. Fallout 4 is a good shooter but a bad rpg for a game that series was called "fallout: a post-apocalyptic rpg".
Everyone going on about how great it would’ve been to have had Danse as the Elder, and while I don’t disagree, I also really liked the idea of him joining the Railroad.
It wouldn't have made any sense for him. Even as a Synth he probably still knew the BoS were the only legitimate threat against the Institute. The problem with FO4 is that it treated small fries like the Minutemen and the Railroad as main factions, which is absurd. FO4's story should've been BoS vs the Institute, with everyone else as smaller factions that would act as possible allies/enemies depending on player's actions - which would've given both main factions nuance and dynamism. Instead, we get 4 wishy-washy "the team you chose won, congratulations!!!" endings with no depth. That is why Far Harbor is GOAT. It gave depth and nuance to all factions, made sure to make their relatively "equal" status as factions make sense, gave a real sense of interconnectivity and shared history between the groups and made it so player actions and intervention were a must to achieve different, logical outcomes.
My biggest complaint with this Fallout are the guns. Theres not enough different kinds and they all look like shit. Especially the assault and combat rifles
@ninjast4r Same, They could've add most of the Guns from New Vegas & 3 but they were too lazy :( They even made the mini gun useless, HOW THE FUCK DOES SOMEONE MESS UP A MINIGUN?!?

Well, you're talking about a game where this dialogue got approved for final game: Dr. Li: If you're here to talk me into working on Liberty Prime, you can forget it. Wanderer: What changed your mind? Dr. Li: Nothing changed my mind, I promised you I'd return to the Brotherhood and I've kept my end of the bargain. Orange charisma check: Do I need to remind you why you made that promise in the first place? Dr. Li: No that won't be necessary. Tell Proctor Ingram to get her scribes ready. It's going to take a hell of a lot of work to get Liberty Prime back online, but we'll get it done. I'm sure Maxson leaving his post after a charisma check would be on par with that standard.

The fact a weapon like that can clear and cause rad storms while shooting fireworks is just amazing, even if it is useless it would still be pretty cool to play around with unlike the bland guns this game has. AbhorrentTV remember that radiation perk in New Vegas where if you’re in radiation then you’re stronger and your ap is faster? But the perks suck and the weapons are boring now.
I see Maxon was a wuss and fought in full armor with heavy weapons, and still lost. Not quite what I'd expect in an official duel for leadership, giving himself what should have been an overwhelming advantage.
Would be cool if after completing the Institute ending, one of the head directors lets you know about shauns previous desire to learn a bunch of information about his fathers past and pre war tech. At some point, he developed a suit of power armor (Cut content institute power armor) for his father to have if he ever connected with him again. Also goes for mother too. The cool part would be the power armor acts as one of those AI power armor mods and you can call it to your location and it could be a follower, but the big twist is Shaun got either Nate or Nora's (depending on your character) dna and merged it with a powerful ai, therefore reuniting you somewhat with your significant other at the cost of choosing the institue as your faction. Works as contrast to getting(SPOLIER) shaun as a child from other endings

Those centaurs looked really good, I prefer the ones from 3 and Vegas but that's a great looking monster nonetheless. Way batter than the mutant hounds for sure
Honestly, Danse's objective for the institute that being capture or destroy the tech makes so much more sense than outright destroying it. On my first playthrough I was questioning why we didn't capture the technology inside the institute like the reactor or the synthetic food. I suppose it shows the two elder's mindset when it comes to technology
It was a real missed opportunity with the danse quest, the brotherhood can feel evil at times in FO4 because of Maxsons rule, hating all synths without exception, same with ghouls. But danse being the exception to maxsons hate and understanding that the institute and synths are still dangerous would've made him a leader who had more humility while still understanding and doing what he had to do.
This game had so much potential, unfortunately Bethesda didn’t give a damn about their demographic and decided to make an Open world FPS instead of an RPG.
It's not like they didn't care about their fans tho. Some of them aren't fit in the lore and some might even cause an outrage. But to be honest, some of them should have been in the game like Centaur, for example. Why did they replace it with Mutant Hound, i don't get it. They both should have been in the game but whatever.
There's nothing wrong with an open world FPS Fallout game. The problem is that Fallout 4 was window dressing and had little of substance. If you design and build the game right and actually utilize things at your disposal, an open world FPS can easily be better than an RPG. The problem is Bethesda put in the bare minimum of effort.
@@matchesburn I think he meant Fallout 4 was a non Fallout game. It doesn't have the system that made Fallout franchise a good franchise. That Institute Power Armour Comes From A Mod Made By M150. The Mod Is Called "InstitutePowerArmor". Mind You, The Mod Has A Glitch In First Person, Where Most Of The Screen Is Taken By The Power Armour's Arms.
Me thinks based on the design that the old revolutionary war museum here 15:25 it probably served not only as the place you meet the minute men, but also where you build their first settlement. You can see a room with a red light and some junk building supplies here 15:33 that you often find near a settlement workshop. I always thought it was weird that they went to the town to settle it and don't settle the town after you kill all the junkies and deathclaws. My guess is that when the originally conceptualized the settlement system, the settlements were intended to be an every faction thing, and not a Minuteman thing. They probably originally envisioned that when you found a settlement you would assign it to a faction. This would explain why a seemingly random location like Cambridge Police Station would be deemed so important by the BoS when there isn't any super tech in the actual location. If Cambridge was a settlement you had upgraded, it makes more sense that they would continue to use the location after it had been cleared out of supplies and ghouls.

I guess you have no idea how to use fear to your advantage.
“Hey Boss, what do you think about this design for Murphy’s chair? I added some more details and...”

@Chronic Masturbation 43:00 that is not cut
Her old chair doesn't go with "Can you stop using drug!???!???"
I mean a big ass wheelchair with a bunch of shit attached to it is kind of weird for the minute men to be kind of rolling around for some old broad, I get it just being some old lady chair means it’s easier on them and it kind of makes more sense but I get what you’re getting at.
@Chronic Masturbation What do you mean, why would the engine prohibit that?
Likely for time issues. You'd be surprised how much stuff needs to get cut for time
Wow, the Combat Zone and Cait really got done dirty in the final product. The Combat Zone had so much potential.
@@Vicefromkof Using Power armor on coursers could have made them absolutely devastating in combat.
James II hard to believe these are the same guys that created oblivion, fallout 3 and Skyrim
power armor guards would.make sense
They could use the institute power armor for a unique boss, meaning there is just one for the player to collect
I dont understand the combat zone. The voice lines, the pathing, everything was there ready to go and they didnt bother adding it.
And so what?
Does bethesda hates player agency so much?
@@fatherted776 Yeah, because duplicating junk and making 20+ industrial water purifiers is so hard 😭

Everyone going on about how great it would’ve been to have had Danse as the Elder, and while I don’t disagree, I also really liked the idea of him joining the Railroad.
It would have been nice to have that option. They made him so rigid and fanatically obedient. Weird.
@ninjast4r Same, They could've add most of the Guns from New Vegas & 3 but they were too lazy :(

Hahaha get out
Pure respek
If this was Fallout New Vegas you would’ve been able to finish Cait off while she was down.
I honestly can’t see how Danae would’ve won that fight. He’s up against power armor with the final Judge. Load of chunky flesh

Danae certainly has no chance, but Danse is an utter badass! Nah It's stupid, probably should've let him have his power armor
@@ezrahalstead4397 he's a terminator tho even without power armor
@@picardsolo2471 You make a good point there
You see, Maxon may have the power armor- but Danse IS the power armor

Dick Main cake, I was looking for someone to comment on this
Fuck cait and piper, send the scribe lol
I will never understand how you could look at the fallout 4 version of the centaur and think to yourself "Nah, don't add that." That shit was terrifying and that is exactly what I want.
I think its lore reasons, the ones to the west are made from the master, so thats why they are in fallout 1, 2 and new vegas, but Bethesda didn't make lore for if the had any in the east. Clearly the were planning to if they had the model, but they probably had a time crunch and scrapped it
I really wish they left the institute power armour in.
Maybe they cut it because no one could solve that small issue with the head clipping through the armor when you get into it
@@bastionunitb7388 probably
@@bastionunitb7388 lazy so all that skill in there development team they couldn't fix "cliping" what about all the gliched settlements that stll not patched like covenant

@@alvingillarlera lol sorry but Bethesdas fallouts are shit, Fallout 3 was decent and I love it cause it was my first but 1, 2 and New Vegas blow 4 and 76 completely away.
“And what about you Elder, what are your orders?”
“DON’T NEED ANYTHING TODAY”
LMAO
I like it when Danse says: "Outstanding!"
That creature in the thumbnail was terrifying
It was centaur
The one from new Vegas looked more real and horrifying. Probably cuz it has skin and looks more weathered. And it can spit corrosive acid at people...
That was a centaur. Design wise, its pretty much a copy n paste of the Fallout 1and 2 centaurs (much better than the ones created by bethesda)
Gabriel Leal Felix In my opinion, the ones that Bethesda created are better, but the Fallout 1 and 2 ones are cool too.
@Alex Mercer it is that
