Imagine being a pub musician and suddenly none other than the great Dewey Cox joins the gig!
And he never paid for drugs…not once!
Just hide the tableware when he visits.
And he looks terrible for a 16 year old boy.
Needs more digeridoos
The musicians are more famous in the area than he is
Met this man while he was on holiday in Ireland. Absolutely dying with a hangover in Westmeath 😂 did the country proud
😂😂😂 soon enough we'll be able to reconstruct his entire journey in Ireland 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🇮🇪beautiful
Spend more time there and your hangover will be a thing of a past! They know how to drink my friend
Well he then went on to be the honoury guest of the national st Patrick’s day parade in Ireland in 2022. Anything can happen in Ireland when you’re friendly and like a laugh. Alcohol or not! It’s all good 🍀
@@rogermcgrath7946 agree 100 %
A crowded pub, a pint of guinness and live Irish music. It just doesn't get better. ❤️ 🇮🇪 Greetz from 🇧🇪
That was an amazing night 🤩🤩
I just love the Irish. They're a bunch of hearty and soulful people. :)

where u from?
WarriorofFire161 yes we are, and we welcome all to join us in our festivities! That's what I love most about my culture, it's not about who's tougher or who drinks the most. It's about having a great time and making sure everybody else is also having a great time.
Goog Googleman they should, were shite. 😂
God bless John C. Riley, a treasure that must be protected at all cost.
Totally agreeing with you 😍😍😍
The list of people that must be “protected at all costs” has gotten way too long in the past couple of years, wish you donks would stop with that goofy phrase
@@booooo-urns why? He's ethnic irish and with that more irish than what's left here. He should be celebrated at all costs. A legend.
@@jasoncawley8502 yikes...you just said the quiet part loud
@@jasoncawley8502 more Irish 🤣
People like this should be celebrated more often, those who bring crowds together in joy deserve great praise.
Not at all! This is totally normal for Irish pubs, it isn't any different whether the person is a celebrity or not
@@Gogs126 That's good to hear that Ireland manages to retain its Pub culture- Pubs seem to be in decline in most of the UK for example and have been so for the last 40 years I would guess.
@@Gommerell Partially right and Partially wrong. Getting Alcohol from the Off License has become an increasing part of Irish Culture since 2005 and there has been a significant speeding up of Irish Pubs closing since around 2005. I'll Grant you Pubs are still important in rural and Village Ireland but have become way less popular in many larger town's and the City's (With a possible exception of Galway). I,d like to see an idea that may help be Pubs also make own Craft Beers. Lastly agree above is a good video.
@@davidorourke4311 Oh so Ireland is going the same way then.
I live in a student Town and the pubs are quite busy for students here, but all the local pubs are pretty dead.
the whole character of a drinker has changed as well.
back in the 80's (when I was 20, you lived for working and going to the Pub, meeting your mates and having a laugh, emulating your peers by telling stories and most importantly meeting the opposite sex when they were tippled as well.
the Community/Society met in the Pub and that was the center of life.
Now there are no such, partly its true to the price, and off licenses being cheaper- but its no fun drinking on your own and muttering away to yourself- bad for you in a way, the drink can take over and social interaction is a great health benefit.
Even if your getting a bollocking of someone or arguing with someone lese, its good for your morale to have a blow out.
In Scotland we have declining popn as well and 20% less young folk than the baby boomer wave. So its the Young folk that must be recruited.
@@Gommerell I know it may be a bit more challenging than it used to be but a week around Doolin area is definitely a recommendation. Beautiful in e day and the evenings.. Well, see above 🙂
He has a great voice for our Irish ballads ! The crowd singing along is so typical of an Irish pub ...
He's got an amazing voice!! It was such a great night 😍😍 Hopefully we'll have nights like that again soon!!
@@TunesFromDoolin Lets hope so . I miss a good session ( music ) & a sing song ... so fingers crossed . Stay safe in the meantime & happy Christmas 🎄 ...

John C. Reilly sings "The Wild Rover" at Irish Pub in Doolin... I think I have seen it all...love it...
I love this song! And I had no clue John C. Reilly could sing like that! Awesome! That's good craic right there!
Oh yes, he can sing. Listen to him sing "Mr. Cellophane" from the movie "Chicago": He's got the pipes. 😊 ua-cam.com/video/WKHzTtr_lNk/v-deo.html
He's a brilliant singer/songwriter. You should see "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" - it's a biopic parody, and he performs many genres of music. It's hilarious.
A. Katherine Suetterlin watch Chicago his mr. cellophane bit
Everyone can learn to sing u just have to train the cords and know what u r doing there's hope for everyone most actor's learn to sing if they can't already
Yeah John sings in a lot of his films. I noticed some great mentions in these comments already. But let's not forget he sings a couple times in Step Brothers too. I loved Walk Hard the Dewey Cox story I highly recommend the unrated version for ultimate ridiculous hilarity.
I've been in Gus O'Connor's a few times. The beer is good, music is traditional, mussels great, and environment electric. Thanks for sharing.
... just a reminder why every time we go to Ireland, we go to Doolin. The greatest!
Was in this Pub in 2007 with my german fellas, and we had the best time in our lives ....and at the end of the night,no More money in our pockets 🙈....but it was one of the best nights in my whole live....drunken in irelands Main city of music 😍....god bless ya'
Being part Irish myself I've never known such a wonderful, loving and hospitable bunch of people who know how to have a good time
A great bunch for sure 🤩🎶☘️
Nothing like national pride in being known as the world's most hardcore drinkers where chronic alcoholism is actually celebrated..
Bro I’d kill a sun to be back in a pub with that energy singing roots and heritage music like this!
So would I!! Can’t wait to be back in the pubs playing music 🤩🤩
My grandfather and mother are both from Doolin. I was born and raised on the Isle of Skye. Love visiting Ireland.
Jamie Reid
The irony is that this is a Scottish (Temperance Movement) ANTI DRINKING song.
@@dukadarodear2176 Luke Kelly wrote Wild Rover, it’s very much Irish and a drinking song, not temperance.
This guy is a legend.
hahahaha the kid in the blue and the girl with glasses had the best time that night.
its a lock in and there kids
Fadeypoo Or they could just want to be home to play their Xbox haha

LOL, great moment, what a thrill it must have been to see John Reilly there. It is my favorite Irish pub (well, tied for first actually with two others) although I go in May to avoid the crowds.
Ah, to be having a couple of pints with dinner there and enjoying the music and mighty craic at O'Connor's after a day in the Burren again. Thanks for sharing.

What an awesome lucky thing to witness at random encounter!!
Only famous comedian I've ran into at a bar, totally on accident, was Dave Attell.
I actually ran into him at the same club /bar 2 different times!
(On a 80s goth /industrial night I frequented every weekend when I was in my 20s. It was the next road down from a large Seattle theater that often is booked by famous comedians as well as musical bands.
Rip to the Noc Noc. Closed around 2009 - 2010 as my 20s were ending, & during the beginning of the wealthy buy - outs of all things that were charming, unique, and countercultural about downtown Seattle & fueled the Seattle night life. It was also one street over from Pikes Place Market. I miss those days.
Why thank you ! I love that im irish
