34 years old, been suffering with rotator cuff on and off for 6 years. My shoulder hurt so bad before bed that my bicep felt heavy. I couldn’t sleep. Stood up and did some of these and got some relief almost immediately. I still have work to do obviously but I’m pregnant and just want to get to term without suffering . Thank you

You guys have helped me through 3 lumbar surgeries(L2, L3, L4). And I've never commented, or said anything in the comments... Thank you kind sir's for all you do. I'm back again now. THIS TIME is For my shoulder.
People, please don’t rush to judgment…he recently revealed he has a medical condition causing this, not just cysts. We should all send him good thoughts and wishes.
I took a fall in August going down my driveway. Knocked myself out and really thought I fractured my humerus...tore rotator cuff. Wish it had been a fracture but no osteopenia/porosis here. Starting these exercises while I wait for PT to have an opening. You guys help me so frequently. Thank-you.
These guys contain all the attributes that I would want in not only a physical therapist, but any professional that would be responsible for my body and well-being… love their minds as well their hearts!
Thank you sooo much! Your video and a few others helped me out so much! After months of being in pain I found you and did the exercises and tips over the course of a few weeks (some exercises more than others a few days per week) and my pain is 100% gone.
I've been dealing with my own shoulder impingement issues for a while now, by loosening my tight chest/shoulders and strengthening my rotator cuff and lower traps. I've had it bad, and ignored the pain or years, which of course only makes it worse. At first I was getting my information from various sources... it seems like problems with external rotators and stiffness in the chest and shoulders are common these days, so everyone has something to say about it. The journey to fixing the problem has been slow, and just when I think I'm on the right path, some new confusing element pops up. Which brings me to my point; every time I'm uncertain, it's one of your videos that goes over the answer to the exact issue I'm having, and not just the same good-but-generic information I see from other sources. I appreciate the specifics you go through and I feel genuinely helped by your videos. Thanks for what you continue to do.
The minute I saw him do the one at 2:42 I knew my pain, I'm having trouble even pulling my covers over me with that arm. Thank you for the exercises, I'm praying for relief. 🙏
I always think I will write my message as a feedback but then I end up skipping it..May Allah bless you endlessly so many prayers for you guys!! Whenever I have any muscle/joint pain I always end up watching your videos and instantly everything gets fixed! Thank you sooo much, May Allah reward you in abundance in this world and hereafter ameen!! ❤❤❤
I did 3 of your excersises about 3 yrs ago and i was better next day. I'll never forget it. But my pain is back I was hoping to find the specific video of yours.❤
Thx! Great video!. Excellent tips! I have a slight tear in my left rotator cuff which happened while using a walker right after a left hip replacement surgery about 7weeks ago. I did not immediately have a raised toilet seat the 1st few days and was using the walker to sit and stand very low. As a result, I overextended my left shoulder. Since I am stii receiving PT for my hip, my insurance will only cover one body part/area at a time
Excited about this. Went to the doc. Said I had full range of motion. Did not suggest other remedies. Pill Pushers Be Pushin Pills Can’t wait to try this
Thank you so much for all that you share. I particularly love this video as I have had both of my shoulders messed up. The last was my right & a PT collapsed on it while getting into the shower. I held him there for 10 minutes.. OUCH! It didn't hurt at first. I believe it was the next day that it started letting me know it wasn't happy. It took me a year before it started feeling normal. Both get tight ( for lack of a better word ) so, I will be utilizing the exercises you have shared in this video... From Arizona, thank you again & have a happy week. Kim :)
I injured my RC simply from sleeping with one arm over my head (somehow). I needed 2 years and those exercises to correct it. Now I NEVER sleep with an arm up or under my head as a pillow - no no no
Iv'e been working with my PT on that external rotation too and having a really hard time! Going to try the rest of these exercises later today. Thank you gentlemen!
The chicken wing totally stopped/released/stretched the pain in my right rotator cuff...from weights. It always feels tweaked. I do it like 3 times a week and feels like I have normal shoulder again. Amazing!
Bob & Brad - Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your insights and tips here! These are a big help to me on my road to recovery after I strained my RC. Live long and prosper!🤩
Yeah Bob! Stop interrupting Brad, man! LOL! 😂. Truly guys, thanks so much: I hurt my Infraspinatus / lower trap area 3 weeks ago (after 25 years of weightlifting) - and these exercises ARE helping massively. Within months, I’ll be back at the weights… God bless, from England.
I keep re-injuring my right shoulder, and I lift weights and exercise regularly. Where I feel it the most is when I do a motion like washing your hair in the shower. On the way down, I can really feel it. Especially when my arm is above the shoulder. The stretch where they were seated and leaning forward with the bar, that one seemed to help. I've modified this to a standard stetch I've seen before where you get down on your knees and reach your arms far forward similar to a superman, then lean forward. Sometimes people use this to stretch the upper lats, if you bend to the side a bit. I've also had upper lat pain, which I would guess is related. My upper back is starting to have a small spinal curve too, so Its possible these are all related. I'm a fitness person, so I just want to add stretches/exercises to strengthen the area to prevent issues in the future. Regular weight lifting isn't fixing the problem. Overhead press, push ups, I'm strong on those movements, but they aren't fixing this issue. I'll try some of this out, probably add pull aparts and face pulls with bands, see how it goes. Really appreciate the info!
One thing I have really found to help, is to throw boxer punch combinations, slow and easy untill the shoulder and arm is nice and warmed up. THEN do these exercises. That takes about 20 minutes. Between that, and all your exercises, I am slowly feeling better and better every day. I can even do pushups again. (12 only, once a week. No more than that). You guys really helped me heal.
Oh dear! When you started with "which action hurts worse" And I tried them each and said, "ALL of them!" The most difficult thing I have been struggling with is trying to sleep at night. I get 15-20 minutes in and it's as though someone has stabbed my shoulder. Ibuprophen kills it for about 15 minutes and it's back. Have started 7 motions to improve rotator cuff tear. Was surprised at improved motion!
OMG my shoulder feels so much better already. Fingers crossed🤞🏻 it continues. Went to figure painting yesterday for the first time since BC aka Before Covid and my shoulder went beserck. Couldn’t raise my arm above my shoulder at all. Lots of pain. Now I can raise my shoulder. Still not great but will continue and hope for improvements. Thanks so much for your content. Really did not want to have surgery at all. I will soldier on!!
Thats guys. My rotator cuff has been soar in certain positions so Im trying all your exercises. My pain when I lift my arm above my head then slightly behind my head.
One of my personal trainer friends at the gym taught me the external shoulder rotator and scapular retractor strengthing ecercises using the bands. Those exercises worked great for me! They improved my posture, too. Getting a memory foam mattress helped a lot, too. My joints are too loose, so I was injuring my shoulders by laying on them at night.
@@user_375a82 Yes, you definitely can. In my case, it's really more that my ligaments are too loose which doesn't hold things together well enough. My joints throughout my body move around too much because of that. But one doctor said that I probably have hip dysplasia, too. You hear of that in large breed dogs. It's basically where the socket part of the ball and socket joint is not socket-like enough. So the ball part of the joint slips around easily. I don't know if that's really the case for me or not. (We never had me x-rayed for it) But my hips (the ball part) can slip out of place easily if I move just right. My ribs slip in and out of place, too. Again, confirmed by the doctor. So, yes. Always very informative. I'm 50 years young and have been playing recreational softball for about 25 years and just recently I've been experiencing pain in the middle of my delts on my back swing, follow thru. Maybe some advice on this, thank you.
Do you stretch and warm up first? That becomes more important as we get older. Staying hydrated is more important for avoiding stuff like that as we age, too.

Thanks for share these exercises dear Bob and brad I am suffering from frozen shoulder and rotator cuff I doing regular exercise but can't raise my hand over head ... please suggest me some best medicine if possible....
Just ordered the booya stick and resistance bands, thank you! Question: out of all the products you sell or recommend, which ones are most likely to help most people with torn rotator cuffs, regardless of what type and where specifically their pain hurts? My concern is buying a product that is only helpful and tolerable pain-wise to some - not most - of those with injured rotator cuffs. In my case there all 2 small tears so not known yet whether surgery will be a must. Thanks so much!
I’ll watch through the exercises and try them out. My shoulder is feeling painful when I do push-ups, side planks, or kettlebell overhead press. It feels like the middle/rear deltoid area. But it feels like the shoulder joint. If I hold a weight overhead it doesn’t bother me, it’s just a transition from shoulder to straight up.
@@xandergisbey5402 You know I was praying each day about it, working on mobility and stretching, and I limited my overhead kettle bell presses for a few weeks. And looking back on it, I think what caused it was that I was doing L-sit type holds on the stairway railings at work. They are a bit wider than parallel bars though, and I’m wondering if I was pushing in at an angle and jamming my shoulder socket. So now I don’t do those on the bars at work stairwells
Hello, I have a rotator cuff tear and frozen shoulder problem, the doctor suggested physiotherapy. I just watched your video and interested in the exercise. However, I am not sure what type of ball to use. Please recommend a ball type for exercising. Thank you.
One more comment related to cuff "injuries". If you are a heavy computer user and are typing and using a mouse for hours at a time, stop and take frequent breaks, and do some of the stretches in between. BTW, looks like my last comment making suggestions about bands, and resistance tubing use and where you can buy them, just disappeared. Is that called a "free speech violation"? As a PHN in CA, for over 37 years, I thought my experience with patients who had sports injuries was quite valuable. If someone didn't like the facts presented, the rest of your viewers missed some really significant information that might have helped them in their recovery. Bummer....
I went to rehab this summer for shoulder pain with no relief. I had a MRI done that shows a rotator cuff injury. It's not torn through which is the only thing I understood on the write up. I have to see an Orthopedic Dr. now.
I believe the 'Key here, is to just take it Slow; Do not expect to Feel Noticeable improvement immediately----Take your time, go Slow, and use 'Cold, and, 'Heat, to help initiate the healing process. The exact exercise I think that cause mine was where you stand sideways and take bands in both hands and bring your arms straight out and back in while having tension from bands on the wall
Dude I did messed up my shoulder from the external rotations and that’s literally why I came to this video. I think I was using to much weight. But not it feels like it needs to pop and does sometimes. It’s also tight

I could pass all the tests before i hurt it more
I have the same issue with the external rotation band, how many months before some relief in the pain? Left shoulder , full range of motion, just pain on the external rotation. No other motion causes the pain. I have had six weeks of PT
Hey guys, first, thanks a bunch for the videos you make! I watch them all the time since I found your channel. My question is this, my left shoulder clunks /pops when I raise it above my head, starts at about shoulder height. Have trouble raising any weight from that point up also less ROM with external rotation. I’ve had X-rays but they tell me the joint is fine. Can you offer any advice? What would you suggest? Would appreciate your opinion! Thanks!!

Awe. He had surgery on mouth so that’s why he’s slurring a little. My shoulder started hurting so bad a few months ago. I didn’t even know it was a rotator cuff. Ugh. Omg. I’m gonna try. Hurts so bad. Watched other video to learn to sleep with it
My biggest problem that I can mention publicly is pain/weakness in my shoulder. I'll try these and keep you posted.
Those bands are how I hurt my rotator cup those exact exercises I was doing pt for my back and I hurt my shoulf in the process any tips
The exact exercise I think that cause mine was where you stand sideways and take bands in both hands and bring your arms straight out and back in while having tension from bands on the wall
They feel great! Thanks!
Found your channel today absolutely love it!! You guys are super cute!!
Dude I did messed up my shoulder from the external rotations and that’s literally why I came to this video. I think I was using to much weight. But not it feels like it needs to pop and does sometimes. It’s also tight
When will this video upload on website with PDF file
It’s Holiday Weekend… 😁🥂
He had a cyst removed from his mouth.
Bob i fell doing a handstand a couple months back and I believe i have torn my rotator cuff but before further injuring myself yesterday i was having a decent recovery i had just gained almost full range of motion in my arm except for deep rotator cuff stretches and could lift weights as long as the shoulder muscle wasnt targerted do you think i have a tear ?
Thanks!!
I'm the same. Painful. Pops and clunks. I'd love to know what is going on with it.
a while ago I had a carpal tunnel treatment that involved Sonic massage carried on by a physical therapist can that help with trigger finger as well?
hello sir i watch ur video regarding clavicle fracture because my mother have clavicle fracture and my mother dont want to undergo on surgery
Can these be done prior to weight lifting or is best to do these after weight training?
Would it be a good idea to have surgery once had partial dislocation for the first time? Got a tear in supraspinatus tendon measuring 5mm. Got full range of movement after rehabing for 5 months
Keep up the great work.
What is the size of the pole? Thank you
