    Very educational❤ I have binge watched just about every educational vid on Dermal fillers.
    I do have a medical background in Nursing and it has helped me a long with doing my own DIY aesthetics.
    I have done ALL of my own dermal fillers, lips, nasal labia folds, Glabella region and superficial wrinkle filling.
    Fortunately, Everything has gone smoothly. I do have Hyaluronidase on hand for added peace of mind.
    I do not recommend ANYONE try this at home, zero, NEVER, NOBODY.

    • @DrTimPearce

      @@littlemissgroove In good hands either instrument is safe- it does depend a lot on how you use it, and the many additional little safety steps which surround the actual injection. Anyone who is experienced and talks about safety in their content is likely to have given this a lot of thought- Sometimes it looks either/ or in content but there is a lot of nuance, and I would choose your practitioner on their attitude to safety, not between needle or cannula.

    Hi Mr.Dan, first of all thank you for your videos. I am a anaesthesia RN and a big fan of yours, I find them very comprehensive and I like how you explain them.
    I would like to ask you a question if you could help me, I got PDO threads under my eyes, (eyebag area) a year ago. one of the eyes is a bit swollen when I smile.
    Is there anything I could do about it?
    Thank you in advance.

    • @danestheticsmedical
      @danestheticsmedical  2 роки тому

      🤔 I’m not an expert in the PDO field. It’s not Health Canada approved so I don’t offer them yet. Is it bunching or swollen? Maybe it’s affecting the muscle?

    • @hernanalvaorc2896
      @hernanalvaorc2896 2 роки тому

      @@danestheticsmedical thanks for your answer.
      Yes maybe is due to the muscle, it was the same amount in both eyes and it just bunching in one of them.
      In that case, is there any aesthetic solution for it?

    Hi I've read and seem over and over that a cannula is more dangerous for filler placement in nose. That most cases of blindness globally are down to cannula. Now I'm confused 😵

    Doctor, I had nasal fold filler 9 weeks ago. She put a bolos in periform fossa and kept injecting, I could feel pressure and filler going up the side of my nose almost to my eye area… I noticed about 3 days later that my right eye same side this happened, seemed to be sinking lower into my eye socket. I returned to injector 2 weeks later and she removed some filler on my chin for marionette lines that never settled. I asked her if she could dissolve some of the filler that is irritating my nose and eye. She said no and that the filler has nothing to do with my eye. I am now waiting for authorization to go see ocular plastics. Horrified that I am going to go blind all because of a wrinkle. I ish you could see my eye and evaluate what is going on. Can the filler be removed this long after? Who do I go to? She won’t remove it and I don’t trust her anymore. Thank you doctor

    Hi, I had fillers in my nasal fold in october 2021 and about a couple weeks later I started having eye problems such as eye pressure, pain, severe headaches and vision changes. Now that it is a couple months later, I have floaters in my vision, permeant vision prescription changes, occasional eye pain, and headaches still. Can this be due to the nasal fillers? I went to a couple eye doctors and they cannot find anything wrong with my eyes and are confused by what it can be. I did not mention that I had fillers and now just realizing that it could be a contributor. I am going to see a couple of eye doctors again soon and will bring it up but would like to know what you think. Thanks!

    Hi Dan, I am in the UK. I've lost quite a significant amount of fat in the cheeks because of covid and some weird autoimmune issues. I have pretty nasty sunken cheeks, but not in a way that I would look like a model but rather like a chimpanzee :D (sad) I've been doing extensive research into filling my cheeks as I've been having this issue already more than a year and it very much destroys my self-esteem. Is there a safe method to do some cheek fillers to avoid blindness? Would you recommend that I should only concentrate on a specialist who uses Ultrasound for facial vascular mapping before any filling? I would highly appreciate any kind of answer. Do you offer any sort of one-off video consultation? Thank you very much. Tom

    Tbh what this confirms is you are not really exceptionally familiar with the anatomy and rely on second hand knowledge and personal experience . This is the default position for almost all fillers . At least you strive to learn which is great and improve . Many don’t which is bad news . This is very much the domain of skin cancer surgeons who expose all this anatomy routinely . Almost all the filler instructors out there are none surgically trained and therefore in no real position of authority to comment on anatomy . I would suggest since you’re actually genuinely caring that you attach yourself to a plastic surgeon for a year and thoroughly learn the anatomy by eye UNDER the skin surface . That way you will disseminate higher level knowledge . I would suggest it will substantially change your practice . Knowledge as it stands is based on aggregate surface anatomy . You need to get under the bonnet son.
