Lovely Video. Lived 17 years in Juneau (75-92) and this is one of the few videos that capture the feeling of living there. (Sandy Beach/Treadwell in particular). (Recommend the Treadwell hike up to the Glory Hole for those just getting there). Well done!
My job is offering bonuses to relocate to Juno and I am seriously considering it. These type of videos help so thank you. Wonderful job making the video and keep them coming.
Very nicely done - playful, artistic, showing great Juneau nature, museums, library, Soboleff’s building on rainy days , Aquileans on boardwalk, galleries. And Breeze Way was my favorite too, when I vacationed in SE!!😊
I grew up here. We used to fish at Auke Lake. There's an excellent burger shop near it. The Mendenhall Glacier is a great walk - we would swim there in the summer and made money swimming out to chunks of ice and bringing them back to tourists. Mt.Roberts is a beautiful hike, hike to the top and ride down for free. Food is pretty good up at the tram. Lena Point is an excellent place to party. Locals are very friendly. All and all its a beautiful spot. It's just very VERY tourist dependent in southeast Alaska. Which has its downsides as well as positives. You basically work REALLY hard for 6 months out of the year and then try to find something useful and lucrative to do in the down season. Anyways. I was homesick. Thank you for this. God bless.
Thank you for your lovely video I’m so happy that you were able to leave Russia and find our beautiful state of Alaska here in the US. I’m glad that people can go from cold places to other cool places without having to sacrifice their environment changes too much. I love Alaska and can’t wait to get back up there again hello from Oregon!
Love the video!!! I will be traveling around Halloween this year and I’m very excited after watching your video. Any other suggestions for a first timer?
Wow, Halloween? That is a bit unpopular time to go to Juneau! Most likely it will be rainy (I hope not so you can enjoy some outdoors). For moody and easy walks go to the Airport trail and Sandy Beach (those I showed in video). There is Alaska State Museum if you are into history (Downtown) A lot of touristy shops and attractions will be closed as it's after the season. I imagine you have someone you are visiting? I am sure they'll show you their favorites too!
Great video. I went to Juneau last year (before the cruises came back) and had a blast. I appreciate your local insight. Do you think you'd post in other areas of SE Alaska? looking forward to more content from your channel :)
Hi, thank you! Big dogs are family's, they stayed in Juneau, little one flies in cabin with us! Side note - there are no roads out of Juneau, so you can't drive out. So it's either ferry or flight
I don’t really know, they’ve been dangerous to visit for years now, locals usually go there in winter time. In summer time it’s pretty hard hike. If you decide to go find someone who knows where they are and how to get to them, for first timers it might be hard to find them once you are in the glacier. Good luck!
What if I'm wanting to move my family there and work in fishing, my kids do karate and I'd like to get them into gym, my wife is a shy Filipina she mostly likes to work at the deli and be with the kids, I love to hunt fish play golf and be in nature, it supplement my gardening I'm thinking about growing mushrooms, are there other things you would suggest
You should be fine as long as you enjoy outdoors and can come up with things to do throughout long grey period which is the rest of a year except for the summer😄 and if small town living is what you like
Thanks for watching!

Is the dating scene any good in Juneau?
Ugh hard question. Small closed town, supply is definitely limited on both sides😅 good person is a gem for sure😊
Can you forage for class at eagle beach
