God created the laws and orders of the universe.. therefor he lives outside of them. Using the idea that there was no time for God to create the universe leaves out the idea that God created time in the first place. God must exist outside of time and space in order to have created it, otherwise he would not be God. He would only be a product of creation, instead of the other way around.

Often times, I ask my dad about God, the universe and the existence of everything. He would try to answer with biblical facts, but there are questions that God is the only one who knows the answer. Even with just one universe, Hawking's argument is still wrong. Time is one dimension of the universe and therefore is a part of the universe. When God created the universe through the Big Bang, he created time, space and energy at the same time. To create a universe, you must be outside the universe. And if God is outside the universe, then He should not be bound by time and space.

The problem with the scientific method is that it has premises. That's the thing people forget. The premises can be accepted as long as they're contained within themselves. For example, there is a strong influence of empiricism in science, and anyone can accept that as long as science sticks to researching empirical things. If you claim that science also applies to something else, or that nothing else exists then you're accepting empiricism as a whole. The problem is: empiricism can't be proven scientifically. It would be circular logic. So you'd need to go to philosophy. And that would be true for every characteristic of the scientific method and to any research that goes through it. That's why Ontological questions such as "what is life?", "does God exist?" "what is reality?", etc. are philosophical questions, not scientific ones.
Are you saying that empiricism is "what is evident to the senses"? As soon you as you start analyzing logically, you have entered the realm of philosophy. Truth is not philosophy, but human reasoning is. Philosophy is the realm of ideas unproven. God is provable by truth, but He is not physical, as of course He creates all things. I dont know if you can even speak arabic but the verse says mousi'oun "موسعون" which means [doing something in a very large scale]. It is usually used to denote generosity. Check 2:236. In order for it to mean that God is expanding the universe, he should've said: mouassi'oun "مُوَسِّعون" not mousi'oun "مُوْسِعون"

Either we ‘ evolved’ from the more primitive APES or we did not. The fact that APES still exist or that they did not build skyscrapers before we did…cannot be explained by this theory. There are MANY, many more caveats in this unfounded theory of evolution but this is enough by itself to discredit it. Finally, we are no longer primitive camel drivers or sheep herders and we can accept the possibility and probability that the CREATOR GOD is an actual, real and physical being in whose “ image we were made “, as it says, and not just some imaginary or intangible, mystical entity. However, if God is eternel then he would not need a creator. So the question: who created God is a wrong question (as the question: who created an eternal universe is a wrong question). So either you say universe is eternal, or it is created by God, in both cases you have admittes the existence of an eternel force.. Why you don not call it God?
More precisely: Nothing cannot create a thing. Saying Y created X is assuming Y exists and it created X. Now by substitution, if you say X created X, you assume X existed so it created X, which is a clear nonsence. So nothing cannot come to existence by itself. So we have no choice but admitting that there is an eternal entity or force which exists and does not need a creator. So either you say the universe is eternal (so it does not need a creator), or you say it is not eternal (so it does need a creator). But saying there is an entity which is not eternal and do not need a creator is a contradiction and a clear nonsense.

This was my thought also. The majority of philosophers now agree to this argument also. Whatever begins to exist had a creator. The universe began to exist. Therefore the universe had a creator. The science actually backs this up in the form of the Big Bang theory. The Big Bang theory postulates that space, time and matter all came into existence at the exact same time. Okay, so the thing that caused the Big Bang to happen must exist outside of space, time and matter. That thing we call God. Which only makes perfect sense. If there was a God/creator of the universe it would only make sense that this God would need to exist outside of time because time was created. So for Hawking to say there wasn’t enough “time” for God to create the universe seems rather elementary from a philosophical argument. Now, obviously Hawking is a brilliant mind and I am not but many other brilliant philosophers have said this about Hawking making this statement and I am only repeating what they have said.
The problem is, it feels very escapist to believe in not only an invisible all knowing,all powerful,all good being that also just happens to be timeless. Yet not a single being in our current existence has any one of these properties and yet we need to believe one that has all. Science need evidence to work even if it's theoretical.

Often times, I ask my dad about God, the universe and the existence of everything. He would try to answer with biblical facts, but there are questions that God is the only one who knows the answer. When we come to the very last question that seems to be really ununderstandable for the human mind, he would just say "You cannot understand everything, because the moment you do, you're God."

I do find Stephen Hawking was a bit overconfident in what he “knew” or thought he knew. It’s a fatal flaw in modern materialist science. I know scientists have uncovered a lot in the past few centuries, but to claim you know about these mysteries is pompous. Realizing a god doesn’t have to exist for the universe to happen is not the same as saying a god does or doesn’t exist. Saying when you die you slip into nothingness is an assumption. Based on what we know we can make that assumption. But there is a possibility it’s wrong
Slipping into nothingness after death as understood by materialists can be debunked. Their general argument goes like this - the brain stops functioning therefore you are no longer conscious thus you die and slip into nothingness. The brain is what constitutes to your ability to experience life.
They claim this while avoiding recorded medical cases of people born without brains functioning as normal human beings. According to their theory, such people couldn't possibly be alive. Also studies on the field of Near death experiences is also to be looked into. The evidence points towards the existence of a soul and an afterlife.

The problem with the scientific method is that it has premises. That's the thing people forget. The premises can be accepted as long as they're contained within themselves. For example, there is a strong influence of empiricism in science, and anyone can accept that as long as science sticks to researching empirical things. If you claim that science also applies to something else, or that nothing else exists then you're accepting empiricism as a whole.
The problem is: empiricism can't be proven scientifically. It would be circular logic. So you'd need to go to philosophy. And that would be true for every characteristic of the scientific method and to any research that goes through it.
That's why Ontological questions such as "what is life?", "does God exist?" "what is reality?", etc. are philosophical questions, not scientific ones.

I dont know if you can even speak arabic but the verse says mousi'oun "موسعون" which means [doing something in a very large scale]. It is usually used to denote generosity. Check 2:236. In order for it to mean that God is expanding the universe, he should've said: mouassi'oun "مُوَسِّعون" not mousi'oun "مُوْسِعون"

For those of you struggling with the concept of the existence of a CREATOR
GOD and who do not want it rammed down your throat with the BLIND FAITH
approach of religious fanatics, perhaps this logical line of reasoning will
help you make a more informed decision…one not based on blind faith alone but
based also on the FACTS that we do SEE.
Speaking as a TRIAL LAWYER of thirty years and accustomed to always relying
upon the BEST EVIDENCE and speaking as an experienced ALT medicine researcher,
I have studied the arguments for and against the existence of a CREATOR GOD for
many years and from the perspective of various scientific disciplines. There
will still be some element of BLIND FAITH involved but this opinion is also
based on INCONTROVERTIBLE, UNDENIABLE and IRREFUTABLE FACTS .
HERE IS WHAT I
MEAN
I have examined the EVIDENCE of the complexity of our magnificent DESIGN OF
LIFE, and I see a machine with unlimited capacity for self repair and
maintenance and with numerous back-up and FAIL SAFE systems. Our design of life
has a HARD DRIVE, a set of detailed programs called DNA and a built in factory
which can manufacture materials that we need from scratch. I am supposed to
believe that this just developed by itself? Are you kidding ?
From these observations, and borrowing an expression from my thirty years as
a trial lawyer, I came to the conclusion that;
Based on the PREPONDERANCE OF PROOF and on the BALANCE OF PROBABILITIES, it
is much more LOGICAL to conclude that our DESIGN OF LIFE is the work of a
CREATOR GOD or an INTELLIGENT DESIGNER and the product of an INTENTIONAL design
rather then just the result of RANDOM chance and the mere passage of time.
For example, when you examine our INNATE IMMUNE SYSTEM, one of TWO such
systems that we have, the other being the ADAPTIVE immune system, you learn
that it takes on average twenty (20 ) separate and distinct chronological
chemical steps, executed in perfect SEQUENCE, to illicit even one immune
response. If a major system, like the LYMPH system fails to eliminate lymph
fluid in its normal way, it is backed up by a hidden fail-safe system which we
are not even aware of and which will kick in and allows LYMPH to excrete
through the skin.
Recently we discovered another program hidden in our DNA which we were
unaware of whereby the body cleanses itself of pathogens and even cancer cells
when we go through an extended FAST. This has been dubbed AUTOPHAGY, has won a
NOBEL prize for tt’s discoverer, and it raises the prospect that there are
other such wonderful programs hidden in our machine which GOD has installed into our hard drive and software which
only come into play in emergency and special circumstances and which we have
yet to discover.
Just look at an anatomy chart of the structure of our MUSCULAR system. You have
multiple over-lapping layers of muscles criss-crossing at different levels and
at different angles, each pulling in different directions and having a specific
action and a role in movement. I want some evolution theorists to explain how
the SUPRA-SPINATUS muscle developed according to the principles of conventional
“ evolution theory”…it is sheer and utter NONSENSE.
It makes no sense that such a complex DESIGN OF LIFE is merely the result of
RANDOM CHANCE. If you said this about any other manifestly magnificent design
structure… you would be called BRAIN DEAD.
What do the “evolution” theorists want us to believe ? That a bolt of
lightening hit a pile of doo-doo four billion years ago…and BINGO…here we are ?
This is patent NONSENSE and violates plain COMMON SENSE. The MAIN arguments in
the theory of EVOLUTION are so fragile that they can be dismissed with numerous
arguments but this following simple argument is more than enough;
If EVOLUTION alone explains our existence then how come APES are still
swinging in the trees? There is no valid or convincing answer for this FLAGRANT
CONTRADICTION within that “ theory ”. President Johnson once said;
“ You cannot SUCK and BLOW at the same time”.
Either we ‘ evolved’ from the more primitive APES or we did not. The fact
that APES still exist or that they did not build skyscrapers before we
did…cannot be explained by this theory. There are MANY, many more caveats in this unfounded theory of
evolution but this is enough by itself to discredit it.
Finally, we are no longer primitive camel drivers or sheep herders and we
can accept the possibility and probability that the CREATOR GOD is an actual,
real and physical being in whose “ image we were made “, as it says, and not
just some imaginary or intangible, mystical entity.
I hope that these arguments help some of you to finally resolve this issue
and to accept the LOGICAL idea of the existence of a CREATOR GOD…and if so,
then welcome to the team !

Nirvana will have no evidence in time, besides the evidence that is clearly laid in front of you, if you can perceive it. How do you measure the immeasurable? How do you grasp what tries to grasp? Rationality will always reach its limits whem attempting to bring words to the wordless.
We cannot imagine the world without an eternal entity, because thing cannot come from nothing. You may admit the eternity of the universe, but not the God?! If one says God, you say who created him. However, if God is eternel then he would not need a creator. So the question: who created God is a wrong question (as the question: who created an eternal universe is a wrong question). So either you say universe is eternal, or it is created by God, in both cases you have admittes the existence of an eternel force.. Why you don not call it God?
More precisely: Nothing cannot create a thing. Saying Y created X is assuming Y exists and it created X. Now by substitution, if you say X created X, you assume X existed so it created X, which is a clear nonsence. So nothing cannot come to existence by itself. So we have no choice but admitting that there is an eternal entity or force which exists and does not need a creator. So either you say the universe is eternal (so it does not need a creator), or you say it is not eternal (so it does need a creator). But saying there is an entity which is not eternal and do not need a creator is a contradiction and a clear nonsense.

This was my thought also. The majority of philosophers now agree to this argument also. Whatever begins to exist had a creator. The universe began to exist. Therefore the universe had a creator. The science actually backs this up in the form of the Big Bang theory. The Big Bang theory postulates that space, time and matter all came into existence at the exact same time. Okay, so the thing that caused the Big Bang to happen must exist outside of space, time and matter. That thing we call God. Which only makes perfect sense. If there was a God/creator of the universe it would only make sense that this God would need to exist outside of time because time was created. So for Hawking to say there wasn’t enough “time” for God to create the universe seems rather elementary from a philosophical argument. Now, obviously Hawking is a brilliant mind and I am not but many other brilliant philosophers have said this about Hawking making this statement and I am only repeating what they have said.

The problem is, it feels very escapist to believe in not only an invisible all knowing,all powerful,all good being that also just happens to be timeless.
