    Dr. Kaku. Nice to see you still educating us on the exciting elements of life in the Universe. You and I met in December of 1999, when I was a producer at Fox News Channel working on our Y2K special. The program, focusing on what the future held for humankind, was a big success, and in my opinion you were the star.

      @@bradbixler1801 The general theory of Relativity was also a big fat "I don't know" when Albert Einstein first published it. It has been proved time and time again by modern physicists. The reality of something cannot be proved by itself when we haven't put forth attempts to understand it. So theoretical physics is very much needed to sustain and promote our understanding of the universe and everything else.

      Beautiful quote, but did she actually prove it?
      While we're quoting scientists on beauty, here are a few more-all Nobel Prize winners:
      - "A theory with mathematical beauty is more likely to be correct than an ugly one." - Paul Dirac
      - "It is more important to have beauty in one's equations than to have them fit experiment." - Paul Dirac
      - "What is especially striking and remarkable is that in fundamental physics a beautiful or elegant theory is more likely to be right than a theory that is inelegant." - Murray Gell-Mann
      - "A chief criterion for the selection of a correct hypothesis seems to be beauty, simplicity, or elegance." - Murray Gell-Mann
      - "We would not accept any theory as final unless it were beautiful." - Steven Weinberg
      And from a mathematician:
      - "Beauty is the first test: there is no permanent place in the world for ugly mathematics." - G H Hardy

      @@arpitthakur45 "Reality is ugly" ... sounds like you're channeling your inner Tennyson: _"Nature, red in tooth and claw"_ 🤣
      Here, of course, we're talking only of the _laws_ of nature, not its manifestations. Even more specifically, of the _equations_ that summarize the laws.
      Sure, Sabine could be right about beauty, and those Nobel Prize winners could be wrong. But the fact is, they discovered some fundamental laws of nature, and everybody agreed that the equations were beautiful.
      On the other hand, Sabine hasn't designated any particular equation as ugly. So, as far as things stand, the fundamental equations of nature are still considered beautiful.
      Of course, every student who has ever stared at a blackboard or textbook full of equations has shivered in horror. Nobody ever said "beautiful."
      This proves my point, that beauty is subjective. Sabine and Dirac could look at the same equation, and one could call it ugly, and the other could call it beautiful. There's no objective way to judge beauty.
      If there were, then maybe we could prove whether or not reality cares about beautiful formulas.

    • @gravoc857
      @gravoc857 3 роки тому +7

      Yup.
      Not only is it incomplete, what we do have filled in could be wrong.
      Quantum advancement in the field is challenging Einstein’s General Relativity.
      One of those elements being challenged is gravity. Gravity might be gravitons. Or perhaps gravity isn’t even a force at all. The more we begin to understand about space and time dialation, the more we realize that gravity doesn’t need to be a force. Rather, gravity is simply the mean average between two or more zones of dialated time. This would cause the curvature we see.
      So to manipulate space is to manipulate time. To manipulate time is to manipulate space. Einstein seems to have been right in his assumption that spacetime exists together as one.
      This would fundamentally change the way we view time and gravity, should It ever be decided gravity is not truly a force. This has other potential consequences. Such as the speed of light could be the speed of time. Or that black holes might not actually condense to an infinitely small point. It would be possible that the curvature of spacetime gets so extreme, that time stops flowing at the center of a black hole. This would freeze gravity and prevent an infinite collapse in on itself. Meaning that at the center of a black hole, it could contain the most basic elementary particles, but frozen in space and frozen in time. Their energy existing both in a state of perpetual activity around a physically frozen form. This would explain why Hawking radiation works, as quantum fluctuations would still apply to objects inside black holes. A quantum energy spike would trigger the strong nuclear force to form a virtual particle to compensate for that quantum fluctuation. With s very small chance the particle would be created outside the black hole.
      All of this would suggest too that perhaps the present is being created actively. That there’s some sort of universal mechanism responsible for all of this happening. It seems to be processed at the speed of light, or in this case the speed of time. This would mean the future doesn’t exist yet within this universe, and the past truly exists.
      So much to wrap the mind around. I can’t wait for more scientific discovery.

    Some people have interpreted science as the "smart and rational" and the people who have faith in God as: "Stereotypical and irrational". I think that even thousand of years have never nor will ever help scientists deny the existence of God.
    I believe the reason is simple, Science is great but unfortunately in reality it does not create anything it simply discoveres the components that already exist. This is why God is eternal, you cannot attach anything to the creator of everything. Science and religous people have one thing in common though " Egoism ".

    • @e.k.4629
      @e.k.4629 3 роки тому +4

      Science kinda proved the existence of a god by discovering the zero point energy which means there can never be "nothing" and thus, literally everything (visible to the eye or invisible) is bound together by a force which also means everything we can see is like one part of an enormous body.
      Idea of one all mighty god in another body is pretty much rubbish because the Abrahamic God is literally everywhere. It is omnipresent, you simply cannot escape from it. Therefore if any Muslim, Christian or Jew thinks they have an existence outside of god they simply do not understand their own religion.
      Combine those two together and you will see that everything is one consciousness experiencing itself without knowing about it.

      Trying to shoehorn a “god” into reality is just a waste of time and effort. Pretending that “something from nothing” proves or disproves a god makes no sense. There’s just no good evidence for a magical invisible being. Whenever science has discovered the reason for something, the answer has never been “god did it”. At best the answer is “we don’t know yet”.
      And to on top of everything, to try to make a case for one particular god, (especially the horrifically nasty abrahamic type gods)is just bizarre. If there was something that could be somewhat identified as a god, it would certainly not be a tribal mass murderer.
