  • A great alternative to the jazzmaster.
    Mahogany body and neck
    Ebony fretboard
    Bone nut
    6in line tuners
Maybe something to consider if you're looking to build something unique

Guitar looks good and sounds pretty decent. What I have been doing on my guitar projects is to upgrade the electrics (CTS pots or Bournes pots, Orange Drop capacitors, Switchcraft jack, and a good switch (Grigsby doesn't usually fit in an Import control cavity so Kaish and JD Moon for me)) which gives the pickups and feel close to what you get with a Fender or Gibson.
For Wide Swing Tremolos the best overall buy are the Fender units. The cheap WST tend to be wonky. It's also really easy to end up getting a Trem and bridge that will cost AS MUCH as your kit, if not more (Haylon, Mastery, etc...). Try buying a used Fender AVRI Trem for your guitar. You might also need a shim for your offset neck.

Great advice! I did buy an avri but it didn’t fit the cavity so might put the Squier classic vibe I ended up urging the avri in. I’ll try the electronics as I am refinishing this in black

Was it a depth issue or a side to side issue?

It’s a top to bottom 😉 it’s too short, but I put avri on the Squier Jazzmaster CV I got and will put that Squier one on this

I hear you. I wanted to put a Fender AVRI a Epiphone cheapo and my buddy told me it wasn't deep enough. So yeah if its a depth issue (top to bottom) that's not going to work. Another thing that is made is a plate for mounting a Bigsby directly on a Wide Swing Tremolo plate where all the screws go into that plate, that can be an option too. Bigsbys work pretty similar to WST and if you replace the spring with a Reverend Guitars "Soft Spring, it gets nice and buttery.
