Here 11 years later...........you're still teaching folks about these guns. Thank you.
whenever I need a gun reviewed I look for this guy. no bullshit, fillers or niceties. just solid reviews
I absolutely love my Glock 30S. Perfect fit to my hand, nice compact size, amazing accuracy, and .45 ass kickin power. What wouldn't like that? It is hands down my favorite out of my modest 9 handgun collection. The grip is chunky, but that makes it a very enjoyable gun to target shoot with, even using +P ammunition. I love also that it accepts G-21 13 rd. mags that are great for backups.
Sootch00 you do a great job and i appreciate it!
When you leave your videos unedited lets the watchers viewing it get to know you better. Like hickok45! Great gun guy and never edits
Good job on the review. It's also nice to hear someone as well spoken as you giving a reiew.
I enjoy your reviews even the older ones.
thanks
Ken
Im a former FFL, and ive been lookin at the G 36 for sometime, you just sold me on it, I don't have large hands either so my problem was the same, just cant comfortably get my hands around the grip and reach the trigger with the double stacks... thanks for the great review! Cheers
great review
Great review brother, and solid info. Tough choice for me as I have larger hands. Thanks for good facts along with experience aka know-how!
Great video. Very informative and to the point. Thanks.
Great video!
Exactly what I'd been looking for.
Sootch, you have such a great countenance and a good spirit about you. You really shine as a born again believer! By the way keep up the gun reviews and the prepper conferences.
Well just as I thought I knew what I wanted for my primary concealed carry you help throw another card into the mix, lol. Thanks for another concise and informative video.
Nice review brother. Keep em coming.
Great Video, God Bless you and Thanks for what you are doing!
Thank you for this review! I couldn't for the life of me figure out the difference between these guns. :)
I bought a 36 when they first came out. I had to sell it when going through cancer treatments.
Out of the dozens of pistols I have owned that and my S&W 640 were by far my favorites.
Great video
Very thorough
I subscribed
Great review thank you sir!
Amen Sootch, I love my Glocks too!!! Nice review as always, Thanks
Great comparison vid brother!
Thank you, for sharing the info.
Nice review, I just got a G36 about a month ago and have not yet got to the range. I've heard nothing but great reviews on this gun as well as all other Glocks. Im really looking foward to putting some fire power through this fine piece of enginering.
I like thick grips and cannot lie
Liam Mckay lol
Lol
Other shooters cant deny
kinda sus
Same here. I love the large frame Glocks, G20,G21,G29 & G30.👍
Thanks for the video - the G36 is my off duty carry (with Buffalo Bore rounds of course) - slap in a Wolf barrel and their spring... That is one hell of a pistol !! (Although I wish Glock made a smaller 29) - love your videos !!
Joey P how about a Glock 36 size 10mm?????????
Excellent review 🤗
Nice review. I have owned my 36 for 3 years now and carry it every day.
I never understood why people think glocks are ugly, they are beautiful
Nice informative video!!
great video, thank you..it helped me deside and i just got them both the 30 and the 36....same happened with the 26 and 19,lol...ty
I've carred a 30S for 3 years IWB CrossBreed holster. No FFE or reliability issues. None. Compact
length, Slim Slide and 10 round capacity - that's why LAPD special units and many other LE's order them so often that Glock made it a catalog item. I rented a Glock 36 from RangeUSA for one hour and had several FFE issues during a 100 round session.
Nice review!
My Glock 23, .40 S&W has a slimmer grip and is more comfortable in the hand, but I love my 30S in spite of the overly thick grip for my hand, at least one handed. With a two handed grip, which I always try to use, I can't help but wonder if the thicker grip helps mitigate recoil more.
Great video, thank you!
nice review. i have a g30 and really love it. it is purportedly one of the most accurate glock pistols. i really want to get a g36 - i look forward to your follow up review. i have read/heard that there are reliability issues with the g36 which is the only thing that would keep me from buying one. keep us posted!
gotta love the g30! thx good vid
I've got a Glock 17 for home defense, and am wanting a Glock 36 for CC. Thank you for the review!
Love my G30 Gen 4. EDC for many years now and over 4000 rounds through it.
Great comparison ! As a life long S&W and Colt fan, I am just now getting around to giving Glocks a fair look. I briefly held a couple years ago and decided I didn't like them. But I recently handled a 36 and I am changing my tune. Thanks for the education.
Our Ky tornado watch is easing. Glad you got through yours. I really like my Glock 36 since I have small hands and I found it very easy to shoot and very comfortable to carry.
Awesome video, I have the Gen 3 Glock 21 and I wanted a compact .45, but was not sure which one to go with. I'll go with the 10 + 1
Really good, down to earth review respective to a practical, reliable, daily conceal carry that can cut it in the real world.
great review.
I have been CCing my Glock 36 for years now. I love it. I carry mostly when fishing. I have the holster on it's own belt and I don't know it's there. It's loaded with .45 ACP hollow points. To me in my life situations that is plenty of fire power. BTW I have an extra clip. Great review.
Great video
Hey Sootch, good review. The Glock 36 is my daily carry. I've never had a malfunction when using factory ammo. However, it is very picky with my reloads, and has given me trouble with those. I've been trying to experiment to fix that problem.
Besides that, it's accurate as hell, feels great in the hand and is very comfortable to carry.
Sootch,
I am looking for a model 36 also. Great video
Good review
You should do an update on this video using your current technology. A BIG FAN!
Very helpful!
My G-21 SF has become my favorite handgun, although not for cc. Has capacity and the SF fits my hand like a glove.
Good review. I love Glocks too since I short my friends in the late 80's.
Can you do a full review on the Glock 30 gen 4 and shooting review
I carry the Glock 30SF for my concealed carry, but I did consider the 36. Good video thanks
I have both. Carry my G36 with plus 1 mag ex. I also have put the G36 slide on the 30SF (frame) . All good, all Glock! Thank u sir for the video
I just picked up a G30 used the other day. It was a good price and mostly carry wear. Haven’t shot it yet but I know it’s a good shooter. Have handled them prior.
Good review Mr. Sootch, really thinking about the Glock 36 for carry purposes.
Great review Sootch. I have heard that the Glock 36 isn't as reliable as the other models. Do you have any thoughts on that after shooting the pistol regularly?
Wow 9 years ago.. Im late but Great vid 👍👍
Awesome guns man. I really want the G19
Good video I got the g36 and its a great pistol
I'm picking up my new Glock 26 Friday, now you've got me thinking maybe I should have gone w/a G36 instead. A friend is hardcore a .45 guy so his home defense pistol is a G21 w/Tac light, his EDC is a G36, and he's got 2-3 1911s, including a Wilson Combat polymer frame and stainless Colt Commander. Which I'm trying to get him to leave me in his will. Great vid Sootch, as always.
I agree sir...BEAUTIFUL!
I have found no problem finding the Glock 36 in any gun shop I walk into. I've had mine for about 8 months now. I absolutely love it and I expect you'll enjoy it too. It fits the hand great, makes a great concealed carry .45 and is fun to shoot. Highly accurate too.
I'm looking forward to the review, Sootch. I'm wondering about the reliability issues people seem to have with it.
Just bought my first pistol...the 36 :) I LOVE IT!!!
Just installed the Pearce +1 extension on both my clips...what a pain in the ass, but made an almost perfect pistol absolutely perfect now.
I have a G21 gen4 and absolutely love it but I'm still on the fence about getting a 30 or 36 for CC.
Decisions Decisions....
Sootch, I was at a gunshow this past weekend and was comparing the 30 with the 30SF. The feel of the 36 was "narrow" and for the extra ammo I was interested in the full/rounded grip. SO I compared the 30 with the 30 SF. Personally, I have small hands and thought the 30SF was my choice. I think it would be interesting to take a piece of string and measure the circumference of each grip to distinguish the actual difference.
I love my 36 I have the pierce grips on the mags fits my hands perfect I also have a extended slide lock 3.5 lb trigger and trinium sights only thing is if u dont hold it like u mean it it will jam from limp wristing
I absolutely love my G21 Gen 4 to me it’s not to big at all and I don’t have big hands. I carry a the G21 every day for work. Looking to get and G30.
ILL TAKE 10 ROUNDS OVER 6 IN THE MAGAZINE ANY DAY. THE 1/8 INCH OF EXTRA REAL ESTATE IS WORTH IT. JUST MY OPINION. REALLY ENJOY YOUR REVIEWS.
yeah i dig the 10+1 aspect of the lil compact glock 30(sf) i prefer the s.f. model for the 30 and 10+1 is excellent fire power in a compact .45 ACP
...three years later... please please show me factual information or bring up an example where a concealed carry owner shot more than, let's say, even three rounds in a gunfight, it just doesn't happen, what you think that if you going get in some kind altercation you be dumping mags of lead??... imo six is plenty Rambo
judoka/muaythai/glock I like to tell people Bruce Willis in Diehard..
@@judokan12 I believe Paul Harrell would agree with you.
@@judokan12 yeah but what if there is more than 6 guys
Thanks for the video, I had a 36 and I still have the 30, The reason I like to carry the 30 is because my hands are pretty big and my spare mages are 21 mags with +1 so I have 14 rounds and I like that fact too.
I just purchased the Glock 30 Gen 4, and it fits my hands great despite having shorter fingers. It fit me way better than the 21. It fits me about like my G26.
I like my 30s and use the g21 mag 13 rounder with plus p ammo. Great combination. The 30s has the 36 slimmer slide
Good comparison. What's the recoil between Model 30 vs Model 36?
I have the 36 and can tell you pinky pinch is a problem! I bought a pearce +0 and a Pearce +1 grip extension and they don't pinch at all! Great vid
Thanks for the look buddy. I still like the 30
couldnt agree w/ u more on the glock's ability! always wanted a 36. have a 23&32, absolutely love em!
I have the G30 and one reason that I can not 'pull the trigger' on a 1911 purchase is the G30's superior magazine capacity on what, I think, is a better design. I have lusted after a high end 1911 for most of my teen and adult life but it is hard to justify when I have a G30 and when I could purchase a G30, G36, and G21 for the same price as a tricked out 1911. Thanks for the vid Sooch...Excellent as always.
Good video as always, I just wanted to say I just sold my G-36, the reason is that it jamed about every other round....but it was not the fault of the gun. I have large hands and for some reason I could not grip the slim frame correctly, I would have to put a death grip on the 36 to get it to work and fuction like it should, but I don't have this problem with any other Glock, and I have 10 Glocks in all from the G-20 on down to the Baby G-26. Keep safe brother.
@Mooselola - You're right. The SF models are 3mm shortner from the backstrap to the frontstrap. That's the only difference. The "hump" on the backstrap is just a bit smaller, but can feel like a lot to some. The best way to compare an SF and a non-SF is to turn them upside down and compare the size of the openings on the bottom of the backstraps. You can see the difference.
Can you do a comparison video of xds 45 vs glock 30s and 36 ?
I had one of those plugs in my G21SF, after a day on the range, it was missing... ick.
Sootch, check the weight specs you quoted with the Glock website. There is a half ounce difference between these guns when unloaded. I really can't decide between the two, at this point. I was considering the small xds because online prices have dropped so darn low as of July, 2016. I saw once price from a very reputable , online gun store for under 400.00 for the XDS! I''m still not jumping at it though. I had that grip checking. It's too Tactical Teddy looking for me.
Great vid Sootch00. There is a big difference in the size of the grips, but I still prefer the wider grip or the 30 despite my smaller hands. Still I don't think I would trade my 26 for the larger round.
damn, your making me remember my G36 i had to sell a few weeks ago :(
the G36 is a fantastic little pocket gun. i sold it to my dad, so maybe i will get it back one day
I have the 17, 19, 26, and 36. Getting the 20sf and 29sf and 30s. Love them all.
Does the 36 barrel fit in the 30s?
The 36 has always been my favorite of the two.
Great video.Thanks for all.
please tell me where i can buy the extended magazinme for my glock 36.
keep on
Nice review man! My next purchase is going to be a 45acp Glock..debating if I want a 21 or a 30
i already went with the glock 30Sf. found a nice deal one one at a local shop.
Thanks good review , is your glock 30 a sf model ? thanks
Hello can you please provide a link to the grip plug for the Glock 36, all I can find is the flat ones that fits flush with the grip.
I just got a 30S and it's very nice.
Where did you find the grip plug for the G30? I have the G30S, SF frame and can't find the plug anywhere.
I got my first Glock a few weeks ago. A Glock 19. So far happy with it.
Thanks again sootch
I've been debating on a new .45, and since I've always wanted a 26 for CC, this fits the ticket PERFECTLY! The 36 I think is even better of an option with the extended magazine (+2). I think 8 rounds of .45 is enough to handle any problem. Good video sir! I have no issue with the finger grooves like most people because I have long 'piano' fingers.
@shootcentermass. Tha G 23 is a great gun, but you would need a 9mm slide, mag, and ejector to convert it. Only the .357 sig barrel is interchangable with the .40 launching platform.
you should do a revisit video since this vid is 8 years old now
what 3 dot set up do you have on your 36? I'm looking for some 3-dots for the 30s I just picked up.
