I do this almost daily on Idealista. You’re seeing the very same ones I am, since I want to live in Campania. I’ve found the house I want but am waiting for holdings to sell in the US so that I can buy it, since banks won’t lend on anything under $50-$100k. Good luck, don’t buy my house 😅
@dmills-un1tl I hope I don't buy your house. 😂 I'm actually leaning towards Abruzzo or Umbria now, but I'll be in Italy in a day or two and it all depends on how it feels in person. I'll keep you posted.
... Speaking about the pool.... I don't know if it's the same in Italy but in Spain as the weather is pretty hot and dry on summer every location has public pool or river beach. And every public pools or river beach I know also have snack bars or restaurants. So if it's the same in Italy you may consider the pool to be a secondary option. Specially if the sea (and not the ocean 😉) is around. As you know Mediterranean sea is pretty warm.... Abraço amigo (as we say in Portugal)
Hi Mike, the property in min 25 with pool it's very interesting. I would say this property has almost all what you are looking for. Enough rooms, spacious, terrace, nice view, garage, pool ect. but too much modern (according of what I understood of what you are looking for). Keep it as a reference.... You may find the authentic stoned house you are looking for...
Hey Mike! My girlfriend and I are flying into Naples in September. We’re spending a month in Italy, maybe one week in each city, but not sure where yet. My goal is to rent a place for a year and explorer till I know where to buy a standing alone house, 3 bedrooms with a terrace and views. No more than 2 floors, and yes 2 baths. My friend wants to be close to some US military base. What is your advice? Ciao…
Hey back. That sounds like a great plan. I think it takes a while to get a feel for a place in all the seasons before a good choice can be made. I don't know where the US Military bases are in Italy. A quick search should find that info and help you narrow down your choices. Best of luck to you. Maybe our paths will cross as I'll be back in Italy in September too.
I’m 25 percent Italian(Naples and Tuscan) but I would feel like a foreigner invading. I wish Italians well and a strong national pride. They won’t have that if foreign dollars move in.
my view is dont buy a place unseen especially in Italy... The pictures dont always show the whole picture... Think of busy highways, loud neighbours , bad smells, abandonned villages, crime ridden neighbourhoods... closed businesses... bad access etc.. nothing beats actually going there..
It is common in Italy for sellers to take the kitchen with them, so you might have to make enquires before settling on a property.
Thanks for the tip. That's common in other European countries too.
It's more than common since it is part of the furniture,

A pool or river beach would sound pretty good on those hot Italian days. I'll keep it in mind.

Definitely too modern for me. If I wanted that I could stay in America. The search continues...

Hi, tecnically both Ligurian and especially Tyrrhenian sea are ocean despite their dimensions.
😂 The debate continues.

Pool is what you want. It gets very Hot in the summer. Just out your front door. ?
That certainly would be nice.
What search website are you using and can I use that in other countries?
I'm using idealista.it and it's only for Italy as far as I know. Good luck!
@@aroundtheworldwithmike when I used that website it was only for Spain and I could not dial it in for Italy.
Pass on Earthquakes and no cappuccino after 11am in Italy and no takeaway. Sit, relax, take it all in.. Bear Down Bears !
Ha! Exactly. No cappuccinos after 10:30, just to be safe.
Keep finding them
Where’s the closest Home Depot?
I think in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. 😂
@@aroundtheworldwithmike there are plenty near Salerno or Naples called L.M I let you do some research.

Hopefully I can become a part of the community. I don't want to change Italy, I want to embrace it.

I agree completely. That's why I'll be in Italy later today. 😉 I'm coming across Austria from the Czech Republic on my motorcycle.
