In this week's Tactical Tim video we learn what Tim uses to carry his gun when he needs to go to the beach with his family. Tim has used the Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack for the last several years and chooses this bag when he has to carry in a place where an on-body concealed carry isn't appropriate, such as the beach. Have had a Jumbo Versipack for 5 years. Rough use and it still looks new. Just ordered another one for my wife.

I have this bag and use it as my dog walking/dog park bag. I keep all their toys, poop bags, water bowl, etc in it. I'm sure some people suspect I have a gun in it too, but I dont care. No one has ever said anything.
When I went to the beach today, I took a naa 22 mag mini revolver in a necklace holster. When I got in the water, I put it in my wife's towell bag
You didn't talk about local and state laws pertaining to possessing a Firearm in potentially forbidden areas. In my home state for example citizens cannot lawfully be in Possession of a firearm(loaded, ready accessible or not) in any State Parks, a few of them that are beaches. Where did you vacation too where you bought your sack to the beach???
Very nice bag, but a bit too obvious as a cc vehicle. I don't want people having a clue that I'm carrying. If you're going to take a bag like this into public, never take it off and set it down.
Are all Maxpedition made in Taiwan even the old products?
This is a horrible idea for the beach. A maxpedition bag does nothing but scream out that there are valuables in it. You're better off using a diaper bag or cheap drawstring backpack that looks like it doesn't have anything more than a towel or flip flops inside.
I know you are, but this video and the correction, you're just people like the rest of us. I'm just a"Joe Lunchbucket", retired by the Obama economy and can barely afford to keep my home and the reduced standard of living that's becoming the new norm. What I'm trying to say is that $90.00 isn't chump change anymore. The working me spent that without a second thought, now, not so much. Keep us in mind. Thanks,
Sorry, but this idea just plain sucks.
If you just absolutely must carry at the beach, try a stainless mouse gun, in a zip-lock bag, in a Velcro secured pocket. It's a whole lot less obvious than toting a man purse!
Would have to agree with aran 99% of all public beaches would be a "Gun Free" zone great idea but will get you attention from law enforcement....I have wrote and siezed several weapons for same
