      That can happen. Focusing inward when you feel anxious can feel overwhelming. Know that anxiety is one of the most treatable mental health challenges, and there are lots of resources. Have you checked out anxietycanada.ca?

    WOW, I am researching anxiety daily now as mine seems to have gotten worse, I am on medication for GAD and had a really bad couple weeks at christmas time, like no other I have experienced before. I started watcing your videos (in a fog of course as it was a bit of a blur) and today I picked them back up and decided to try again now that the anxiety has lessoned quite a bit. I have been reading, watching and practicing what I am learning by putting it down on paper and today I sat making a list of my body's symptoms not what is going on in my head as that didn't seem to be the issue. After making a list I started watching this and well WOW, when you spoke about the sympothetic nervous system I cried and cried, tears of joy, tears of release just knowing that I am feeling what I am feeling is real and explainable. I quickly went to the Turn off the Fight Flight Freeze response video, I now have more tools I can work with, learn, from, practice and overcome this feeling. I have a long way to go and more of your videos to watch but so looking forward to being the person I am meant to be! THANK YOU SO EVER MUCH!

    Are fixation and "scatterbrain-ness" common symptoms as well? For example, I can't seem to focus on one chore at a time in my home, and i tend to try to do them all at once... but I have also had moments where I will be in bed, knowing I have to sew something in the morning (im a seamstress), and kept myself up all night until I give in and sew at 2am.

    My anxiety is getting so bad. I'm anxious everyday from running my workcenter, constant questions and requests. I've had a whole attack on two different days. I'm barely making it through the day. I get home and don't have the mental energy to do my school work. I want to cry, it sucks

    What about the feeling that you're always sick or you have an illness, aside from difficulty in breathing, tension headaches, upset stomach, muscle pains, jelly legs... ? What kind of anxiety is that? And what could be the trigger factor?

    • @ParallelWellness
      @ParallelWellness  3 роки тому +4

      Health anxiety is very common. This includes worries that physical symptoms are indicative of a serious illness and being more aware of physical symptoms. The physiological symptoms of anxiety can ramp up the worry, because they are very real and can seem to validate your worries.

However when I saw an Oral surgeon recently he felt my salivation is related to my anxiety.I do find it is worse in situations where I am anxious. It has led to my avoiding social gatherings etc.

    Mine is just simply a sinking feeling in my chest. It's not actually pain but rather a sensation of fear and or impending doom or nervousness. Honestly it came out of nowhere and my life is actually great, I have nothing to really stress about. But it is such an overwhelming feeling that persists 24 hours a day for the last 3 days straight.
    Went to er and ekg was fine, xray way fine. So what do I do next?

      Anxiety would not in most cases impact your medical test results (except for things like blood pressure, heart rate, etc.). Both things can exist and be true - you can genuinely experience health issues, AND your anxiety can impact your perception of these health issues and make them feel more intense.

    I have anxiety and everyone keeps saying it is a disorder and it is not! It is a feeling that poeple get when they overthink! Fidgets and stiming help to cope.

    • @LyssRay
      @LyssRay 3 роки тому +14

      It’s actually considered a disorder once your anxiety gets so bad that you can’t live life normally because that is abnormal and that means the chemicals in your brains are not working they way they should be. Obviously everyone has anxiety a long time ago we needed it to survive, everyone gets nervous or gets anxious but when it becomes a disorder is when your anxiety prevents you from living your life. Some People do need medicine and therapy. Especially if their anxiety is plain genetic, triggered my childhood trauma or literally consumes their entire day. Obviously anxiety disorder is irreversible, but there is a way to live WITH your anxiety instead of BEING your anxiety.

      You shouldn’t give a shit about what people think 😂 like for me I do have anxiety disorder and I told my friends about it but it actually benefits me a lot since whenever they talk about something that’s stressful in school they just talk in private because they know that I don’t like these type of topics.
