I wish teachers did these kind of explanations and point out differences between disordes so that the classes will become interesting, and useful! Thanks . I enjoyed your methodology. Congratulations, and thanks a lot! This anxiety chapter is very very important nowadays.
True. Most simply talk about symptoms independently...
@@ms.maggie8491 totally agree😢
Jokes on you, my teacher recommended this for a project we’re doing
I don't have a clown phobia, but if you put me in a theater full of clowns, I might develop one instead of desensitizing...
Thanks for clearly and logically breaking this down. I suffer from a few of these for at least the past 20 years. Was given Xanax for Panic Disorder without much guidance from a PCP, it just worked for my acute onsets. Now I'm trying to understand all I can to safely taper and find alternative means of treatment. PTSD, GAD, Social Anxiety, Agoraphobia, and MDD also are part of my profile. Along with Sleep disorders and narcolepsy. All the fun stuff. On fix disability, so not much, just to say Thank You!
This is amazing! The anxiety disorders give me anxiety. Coincidence? No.
I know I'm kind of randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream new movies online?
@Isaiah Curtis I would suggest FlixZone. Just search on google for it :)
I’ve microdosed mushrooms for about 3 years, I’d recommend it for everyone, look up Mush_trips on Instagram.Their product helped me fight anxiety and depression.Thank me later..

There are several tips worth trying
Don't take stimulants such as alcohol and caffeine
Try to relax
Do daily exercises
Join a self-help group
(I read these and more ideas on Trevs panic fixer website )
I am getting ready to take the clinical exam for Social Work and you have seriously helped to make this memorable. I wish you talked about theorists and human development. YOU SERIOUSLY ROCK!

I appreciate the clear presentation, such a good refresher. As a psychotherapist with a focus on trauma work, I’d highly recommend psychiatrists learning more than CBT. I’ve seen too many referrals recommending CBT treating certain symptoms when cognitive intervention is not enough, yet the prestige held by a psychiatrist could create barriers for clients/patients to buy in other modalities that could be much better fit for treatment.
Anxiety disorders are a cluster of mental disorders characterized by significant and uncontrollable feelings of anxiety and fear, such that a person's social, occupational, and personal function are significantly impaired.
Anxiety is a worry about future events, while fear is a reaction to current events.
Anxiety may cause physical and cognitive symptoms, such as restlessness, irritability, easy fatigability, difficulty concentrating, increased heart rate, chest pain, abdominal pain, and many others.
In casual discourse, the words "anxiety" and "fear" are often used interchangeably; in clinical usage, they have distinct meanings: "anxiety" is defined as an unpleasant emotional state, for which the cause is either not readily identified, or perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable, whereas "fear" is an emotional and physiological response to a recognized external threat.
The umbrella term "anxiety disorder" refers to a number of specific disorders that include fears (phobias) or anxiety symptoms.

Kudos for this simple and explanatory video! It has been very helpful!
Namaste
When we take the breath in and before we breath it out , there is a small gap
Again when we have breathed out and are about to breath in there is a small gap
Let us start by focussing on the gap as it arises without forcing the natural rythm
This will make us feel peaceful
Good timing. Anxiety disorders are skyrocketing right now!

Amazing explanation 👏
Wonderful video 🙏
Mood or/ and behavioural changes that occur within 3 months for specific stress. And is significant. Doesn’t last more than 6 months once stress or it’s consequences resolved. It doesn’t mean adjustment disorder last less then 6months. In contrast, adjustment disorder can become chronic and last longer then 6 months if stressor still exist or ways of adaption is not developed.
Waiting anxiously from Pakistan

Great video
Thank you 😊❤️
Thank you very much good explanation
This is amazing
I’m afraid of being afraid. The term you might be looking for is "phobophobia." Phobophobia is the fear of phobias or fear itself, essentially a fear of fear.
I love you and your way in explain the topics , greetings from Fallujah-Iraq 🇮🇶🤍🤍🤍🤍
Thank you
Loved the stoop kid reference 😄
im trying to become a member but it doesn't show the join button
thank u very mush , really I love your videos and your way *_*
Why is CBT the go to treatment. Mind you anxiety is basically neurosis which had been long treated through psychoanalysis.
Was so much helpful 😊
Thank u
Nice! Tony Soprano and his panic attacks.
Love your videos
This is great! Is there any way to access this as a PowerPoint version- would be so helpful for studying
Tony Soprano meme is 10/10
Thank you, I found this very interesting
Thanks ♥️ 😊
Been waiting for this one! Thank you!
Hey this was great!! Is this based on DSM v or DSM TR?
I'm still kind of confused between OCD and GAD, which would be the difference between those two?
Thank you so much for the great vedio. I have doubt, 2:21 there is no trigger for GAD.
But at 4:12, mood symptoms more than 6months leads to GAD, from adjustment disorder which has a trigger event.
can you pls explain, psychiatry is really tough
Thank you Soo much dear
tq
Just watching this video is giving me anxiety
Thanks!
Thank you for amazing lecture
Can you please clarify this for me, you said GAD symptoms are not associated with any person or event, In adjustment D/o there must be a trigger, isn't that trigger a specific event that triggers symptoms in GAD..? please clarify
Well technically GAD anxiety is also spurred on by triggering events. What GAD and adjustment have in common is that the anxiety is in response to general life events - divorce, a stressful exam, issues with friends, etc. - things anyone would be distressed by, just in a more intense form.
The other disorders on the other hand are more niche when it comes to what triggers the anxiety, like agoraphobia for example (not _all_ people are distressed by going outside - just those with the disorder).
Anyway idk if this helps because it’s been 11 mo. since you asked the question 😆 but 🤷♀️ if it does then cool
I have ,in fact, became the next Freud after watching this video.
Test day in few days and dirty is uploading a bunch of videos 🤩

honestly impending doom matches the feeling of a panic attack pretty good imo.
Microdosing is the best gift one could ask for really. It has so many amazing benefits such as eliminating anxiety and depression, improved mood, helps one get off an addiction, opens the mind and lots more. I will recommend him on Instagram. He will guide and direct you on how to properly microdose and achieve these benefits. He also has amazing mushroom and tripping products if you're interested.

Excellent video as always. Is it possible to do single one time donation rather than monthly commitment?
Not sure, but I don't think so. You can do one month and then cancel it. That is likely the easiest way to accomplish the one-timer
