I'd argue that's a bad thing. Every since MW19's "success", the franchise has just gotten worse and worse. I'd argue the main reason why people like me actually liked Cold War compared to MW19 is because it actually felt like a Call of Duty, whereas MW19 felt like it was stuck trying to be a realistic shooter and trying to please the original casual crowd. MW19 only succeeded because of Warzone and the Modern Warfare title.
i actually really love the piccadilly level in the campaign, with the way its structured it almost gives you a second goal of saving as many civilians as possible and the fact you cant save them all makes you wish you were able to do more which is the same thing gaz feels in the story
Piccadilly is an absolutely KILLER map. This community is full of haters who want cheesy, linear, predictable design. I love how Piccadilly, and most maps in this game, force me to consider my movement and positioning instead of just running down one of 3 lanes and shooting the minute I see someone.
@@medicfdumbo This complaint is overblown imo. Camping has always been a thing in COD; every COD game supports the playing style to an extent. Yes, this game has doors, loud footsteps, bad mini map, but aside from that, it's very easy to counter campers; there are multiple paths of attack in every potential camping area of a map. Anyone who has put real time into playing this multiplayer knows that it's as fast paced as any COD. I run and gun in MW2019 without any issues, I just have to be smarter about HOW I work the map when doing so. The new engine is what the COD franchise needed. Whether or not you enjoy the game is totally subjective, and I respect if it's not for you. But objectively speaking, it's just a really good FPS.
@@transmundanemusic Agreed on your first comment, I've noticed a lot of today's CoD players seem to prefer three lane maps. During the MW3 beta (on EU) most of the time people would vote for maps like Highrise, Skidrow and Rust. Of these three maps, two are maps that force you down what is effectively three lanes. Skidrow you either take the left/right side or just down the middle (either straight up the middle or camping the 2nd floor hallway from either side) or the right side. And then people would camp the funnels on any side. The same happens mostly on Highrise. Yet maps like Favela and Estate which are more open or in the case of Favela have a lot of verticality barely get voted on.
What makes me NOT hate the Alex sacrifice is that throughout the game, Alex talks about not getting to choose what he does and where he goes in his life and this was the one thing he felt he could do that was something he believed in
Ch0pper and Act Man are the only ones I trust with a comprehensive , funny, and entertaining cod review . Patiently waiting for Ch0ps Cold War review now ..
@@hellfiree9166 I was joking. I thought you were being sarcastic about waiting for a review on a 2 year old game. I’m actually a big Treyarch fanboy, BO1 is my favorite game with BO2 being a close second, I wish I was paying more attention to cod during WAW life cycle but I hated BO4 and Cold War
@@hellfiree9166 I’m looking forward to the next black ops game though. Hopefully they have a full dev cycle with no last minute changes or interruptions which they haven’t had since BO3
@@TheeGreasyGamer I hated BO3 (not zombies ) and BO4 all of it . To me Cold War was a like C+ in terms of bringing me back to the glory days of how special BO1 was . I’m a big treyarch fanboy as well . I do feel like the Cold War campaign could of been executed a bit better but thought it was just fine for what it was
This is the COD I played the most since BO3. Almost all of my friends had it, and with cross-play being enabled finally, it brought back the fun and laughs
I remember my friends and I played MW2019 at launch and absolutely hated it and uninstalled it, then a couple months later only one friend and I decided to try it again and we loved it for some reason then, we played the hell out of it and started competing to see who could unlock the most weapon skins and it was the most fun I've had with a COD game in a while. Especially when I'd hop on and I could tell he had a shit eating grin as he showed me the douchiest weapon he could've got gold on, like the RPG, 725, or shield 😂
This game carried me through the pandemic early years. After graduating college and not being able to socialize irl, this game was my safe haven and social hub. All my friends were playing this game and I made so many memories with them. Despite the game's shortcomings, all I can say is thank you infinity ward for making this game an absolute GOAT!
Definitely fond memories of playing MW during covid at my cousins house. Being able to take a month off work for the first time in 7 years was absolute bliss 😄💙
MW2019 brought me back to CoD. The last game I had genuine levels of fun was AW, after that I only really played new CoD for a couple of months then dropped off. Ignoring Warzone, I truly believe the new movement and in-depth weapon customization were some of MW's highlights, brought a breath of fresh air into CoD that was almost definitely needed. *Before Vanguard up and shat on it, at least*
MW2019 brought me back to cod as well, I bought BO2 and Ghosts, and after purcahsing and trying out Ghosts, for a few weeks, I didn't buy a singe Call of Duty until Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019.
MW 2019 and the new MW are a joke, only the graphics and sound was nice. Overall it was just a cashgrab game with cringe skins, even from movies like SAW that dont fit the setting(It's obviously all about the money at this point) and other dirty business practices, like paying money to unlock gore in online mode. Game mechanics was like with every cod, bad weapon damage balance making headshots and superior aim unrewarding and their attempt to add vehicles and copy battlefield was ridiculous. Sliding was bad aswell, should have been called Call Of Sliding instead. Only shallow fanboys would defend this mess. This game would be a lot better already if they would let players create custom skins, like in GTA Online for example or like it was in Advanced Warfare.
@@I666I Copying Battlefield, yeah well when BF cannot deliver at least COD is making an attempt. How about at least someone is taking the idea and making it work. BF failed me hard and I've been playing BF games since BF Vietnam (BF2 still my all time favorite). If people never used and capitalized off of other ideas to either revive it or make it better then we'd have no alternatives (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Coke/Pepsi etc...). Also IW handed off MW 19 as in WZ to Treyarch and Raven/Sledgehammer and today the current WZ is the result of this. MW 19 even when IW still had control of WZ was still mostly tactical in cosmetics and weapons. Its when the other guys took over they made it childish and the skins got ridiculous. While quality of life fixes are definitely a must, MW2 BETA was fantastic and it was just a BETA. I hate the slide canceling exploit and meta weapons. Balance is def a must also I like the idea of creating a character and then using gear/clothing to outfit them, like PUBG.
red herb's either a troll or a kid, ignore him. and mw brought back cod better than ever. that new spicy engiene, awesome gunplay, smooth movement and innovations were more than worth it. it lit up hope for cod to be a good franchise again for a lot of people. its just that the consumers started becoming toxic after mw3 and everyone started whining over simplest of things. newer players camp in practically every modern cod, even mwr. mw had a lot of ways to counteract that but the players chose to not adapt. halo and cod fans are just toxic like that. even so, iw leaving the game after its launch and raven's incompetence at handling the post launch content didn't help much.
@Red Herb That's what I was saying, how are you so bad at a game designed for bad people ? I know it can be a bit angry getting your ass whooped by bad people. My only suggestion is stop whining and get good.
Mw2019 brought me back to cod, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Give this game 7 more years and you will see it get the love it deserves
It is in my top 3 cods of all time and I started playing cod during cod 4. I hated it at the start but as I got into it I ended up loving it and the campaign was fantastic too. It’s disrespectful how much hate this game gets.
34:05 It was a Black Op on a foreign soil so they didn't seize control of the area permanently. I guess Alex wanted it destroyed right then and there to make sure nobody could keep the factory going afterwards. But I agree that the whole "imma sacrifice myself fo dis" felt rushed.
He's also WEIRDLY dedicated to Farah's people if you wanna really wanna nitpick the logic. For an operator that has had plenty of tours and most likely dealt with plenty of oppressed people, it's really weird for a hardened operator like that to go that far to blow the factory. From many veteran accounts, they sacrifice themselves for brothers and individuals, not an entire army or idea (save for nationalistic types ofc). Retreat to live to fight another day... But hey, it's just for the writing. But then you think about his "arc", and you realize... He never really had a low point or questioned Farah's resistance and rolled with it throughout. I love this campaign but his character was very bizarre. Garrick was much better here.
@@Vladiator I think they wanted to portray him as a soldier tired of working with the cia and actually helping people like Farah, but yeah it wasn't fully explained well
@@x1TzR3J3CTxY'know black ops is an actual military term right? The assault on the factory was a black op, as are most missions TF141 go on. Please tell me you're not actually that dense...
Quick correction: Broadcast was a map from CoD4's DLC, it's not an original creation for MW19. Otherwise, great points, this game brought me back to CoD after dropping off the series after Blops 2, shame that the game is completely shackled to Warzone on my PC so I have no choice but to have 100 gigs sacrificed to that behemoth.
The reason alex wanted to plant the charge in the last mission is because as he says in the cutsean with him going off with Farah too help her people, he says that he is tired of being told what to do and following orders and in the last mission, he tells Farah that this is one thing he acually truly wants to do, so it has more of a meaning for him.
@@morsecode980For real. They should’ve let the studio that made MW19 make MW22 and MW23, because both those sequels after MW19 are TRASH. Also the spawns in MW23 are even worse than MW22…
@@morsecode980I thought the gameplay was nice, but the story was more similar to a superhero story than anything approaching an authentic military story
@@morsecode980to be fair, MWII (2022) was pretty lame. It was way better than MWIII (2023) but it wasnt nearly as good as MW2 (2009). The story was decent at the beginning but once you get betrayed by Shepard it just takes a nose dive
The guns felt awesome in that game, that's really what made it. And all around it felt great. Movement, graphics... Also gunfight was a fresh new mode that sparked a lot of interest in the game especially after the alpha. Really the whole reason I bought it.
I really enjoyed new Gaz. He gave us that ''beginner'' felling. Like after the terrorist attack when he said ''Just to take the gloves off and fight'' which is just fancy talk for ''Fight. Whatever it takes''. Then after dealing with Butcher, Gaz was shocked while Price was unfazed which shows how much they're experienced. If they placed old Gaz from og MW, it would've felt weird and screws up the immersion.
There are things i really like about mw2019 but the simple fact of seasonal prestige system, disbanding lobbies, ramped up sbmm, and overall lack of quality launch maps made this game very distasteful for me.
Good to see some mw2019 respect. It’s in my top 5 cods of all time. I am an Snd player though so a lot of problems people had with it didn’t really apply to me. Edit: I actually really liked Alex but didn’t like Farah at all.
@@tony-_-doge yeah respawn modes definitely had some problems but I still had some fun. Plus the original maps weren’t great but after some dlc was added it got much better
@@AntiQuake yeah and mwII is still making some of the same mistakes also but it's not something I'll go into detail but IW needa to listen expecally if this game lasting 2 years other than that it gots good potential

@Ch0pper idk if you will see this but you fr are one of THEE best COD UA-camrs out there and one of the best streamers, keep up that grind my guy!!! 🙌🙌🙌
To me iw games just have some special sauce that makes them really fun to play other than ghosts, like the og mw games and iw still play really well despite all their flaws
I despise this game, but it’s undoubtedly the most influential game in terms of modern CODS. Every single COD since this game has essentially been a cheap imitation trying to recapture this game’s success. COD Vanguard is just MW 2019 with a WW2 coat of paint, and In Cold War, this game’s influences are seen plain as day.
The reason they had to destroy the factory then and there is because it was not an official US/UK operation and Russians would send reinforcements to secure it after disowning Barkov. It’s still dumb that Alex did it tho. It can be argued that the point was that he was tired of living a CIA agent life, and freedom fighters gave him a purpose, but it’s still dumb.
@@erikwilliams8692 not objectively at all lol, you'd have to be delusional to believe that. If you want an objectively bad game look at Infinite Warfare. That game hurt the franchise. MW19 and WZ didnt
Completely agree about not showing the deaths anymore on the scoreboard. I know their reason behind it but a player is going to have a sense of whether or not they are getting stomped regardless of whether they can see their deaths or not
This game was a blessing from the sky. The way it moves and connects with Cold War and “It who will not be named (vanguard)”. The feeling you get from this game is like playing shadows of evil for the first time or seeing zombies at the end of WAW.. a heart warming feeling
@@Skrenja haven't played too much but both games feel really like the same thing to me. CW was a bit more treyarchy with the movement and guns but small difference really.
It's currently my favorite COD. I don't remember how I found about it or why I bought it but I'm glad that I did, and I met a lot of new people thanks to it. MW19 brought me back to playing COD after Ghosts, and left watching content after Black Ops 3 Zombies cycle ended.
If you played Spec Ops when it was first released then you know that Spec Ops was so difficult. It was almost impossible to beat. That's what made it so much fun for me. Going in with a squad; all support revive classes, smoke screens and riot shields. Trying to stay alive so other people can get revived/revive perk is available. Although it should've been frustrating because it was almost impossible to beat it was so much fun. At least for me. The only thing that bothered me was that survival was locked behind PS exclusive for a year or two.
MW2019 made me feel like a 7th grader in school playing call of duty mw2, staying up late playing and laughing with a great community. HC cyber attack community was the wonderful. I stayed with mw2019 all the way up until mw2022 released. Now with mw2 they don't have cyber attack currently and their tier 1 mode is nothing compared to actual hardcore mode we have known for years. It will be interesting to see if they smoothen things out. If not the nostalgia for mw2019 will be eminence as the years go on.
Ghost was what I thought the end of call of duty and gaming as a whole would be for me but during covid I bought a ps4 and became super into MW and CW and playing with my old hs buddies gave me back that nostalgia and now I’m super into gaming and just bought a PS5 ahead of MW2 and I never thought I’d play video games again just a few years ago
Love to see some MW2019 appreciation, it to me revived the series, and gave us so many new features that absolutely carry the franchise. I'm so hyped for MWII because it literally revitalizes everything MW2019 brought into the game.
The fact that the CDL or competitive COD was not mentioned or talked about in this whole video hurts... I wish Activision care about the competitive side of COD. Btw this is the year CDL started and there is no ranked play in the game
My biggest issue with the MP in this game was the match making which I think was once correctly called “retention based match making” where it felt like I was never playing against people my skill. I was either playing against grandmaster no lifes, or paraplegic 3 year olds never felt in between for me…
I stopped playing COD for a few years and missed MW despite being a huge fan of COD4-MW3. I tried out MW2022 beta and loved it so I decided to try out MW over the last week or so…. I LOVE it! I can’t believe I slept on this game. Glad I’m able to get some time with it now before I jump into MW2 in a few weeks.
MW 2019 was the reason I even came back to this franchise. After the many years of futuristic settings and one WW2 game. It was nice to finally go back to the era that made COD popular in the first place. I didn’t bother picking up Cold War or Vanguard and going straight to MW2 instead because that’s the series I enjoy the most.
Loved this game to death. I stopped playing cod after mw3 and was a hardcore battlefield guy until MW 2019 came out. They nailed it and I have very fond memories of this game!!
argauably the best constructed COD campaign, MP i played the most hours in 15 years but no where near the best gameplay, ruined by juiced up SBMM and stale maps. A weird game altogether which benefitted from COVID imo
I played bo2 all the way up till 2019 so I didn’t hop onto this game till late 2020 but when I did I absolutely loved it. First cod that actually got me to finally put down bo2 and og mw2
@@coreymckee4844 it goes back on all the issues made in MW2, should it have been a dlc? yes; but is it a fantastic improvement over MW2? also yes. the game its self isn’t bad, it has a fun multiplayer and zombies and it revitalized the community, unfortunately it’s a victim of scummy business practices, but that doesn’t make it less enjoyable.
I stopped playing cod after mw3 I went years without touching it till this game came out. Say whatever you want this game was amazing and it made me love video games again
I've always enjoyed Treyarch's games more than IW's, I like that arcade style more and I love zombies and had a lot of fun with BOCW, but I really didn't enjoy MW19. The campaign felt like a huge out of character tonal shift for COD. If the original MW trilogy were like big summer blockbusters, then MW19 was a sombre arthouse film about 21st century warfare. But it didn't feel as fun or as exciting as campaigns before. I remember the shock and awe of the nuke going off in MW1, how fun and different the AC130 mission was. With MW19 though, it may have felt more grounded but it didn't have any big exciting moments like that and a lot of the game just felt like a chore to get through. It doesn't matter how much story was in the Farah flashback missions in her hometown or in the prison, hiding from a Russian soldier and stabbing him 3 times was boring and the whole time I was wondering "okay so when do I get to shoot people again?" The multiplayer wasn't much better either. Most of the maps are frankly pretty terrible and the gameplay really incentivised camping, and with every single one being set in either Urzikstan, Russia or England they tend to all blend together. Warzone was alright but battle royale is really not my thing. The worst thing is that I'm definitely in the minority here. MW19 is the best selling COD of all time and even I ended up buying it just because a lot of my more casual friends were playing it too. But I feel like people like me who like Black Ops style games and zombies are no longer the target audience for COD. With MWII right around the corner, there's really nothing about that game that appeals to me at all and I have no plans to buy it. MW19 may have saved this series in the short term and created a new model for future COD titles to follow, but it's success came at the cost of alienating long time fans like myself.
Wow surprisingly based take, I thought you would have trashed the game harder cause I see so many people do so online lol. This game certainly has flaws, but I haven’t enjoyed a cod as much as this one since bo3. My friends and I still come back here and there and MW might be my favorite for search and destroy.
This game really made clear what players Activision wants. The best sold cod doesn't mean the best cod. There are a lot of good or perfect things in mw2019, but there are MORE things that hit hard and suck. The movement okay, but the 3 bullet AR time to kill killed the fun in this game. Same here in mw 2 2022
Also the impressive graphics that everyone praises doesn’t mean the game is successful. Impressive graphics that people compare it to CW, Vanguard, MWII, MWIII the list goes on and praises MW2019 is better. Highly detailed and beautiful graphics doesn’t mean a game is good. Plus we have other games before MW2019 had beautiful graphics for its time. Ex BO3, RDR2, GTA V the list goes.
Ya this was the Cod to get me back full throttle after bo2 I was kinda done MW 2019 trailer dropped I actually felt the general excitement for cod like I was a kid again 😂 good times man I’ll foreva have love for mw 2019
I like how everything is all together because I love switching between Vanguard MW & Cold War. If you want a slightly different feel but all weapons you play with all do something for warzone. It’s kept me playing cod for 3 straight years non stop. Never did I really hop back to a 2 year old cod to play. They all stayed relevant
I was 22 years old and working in Washington DC when this game came out. It hit chillingly close to home when you play through the ruins of DC to get to the WH. I still remember my initial shock of seeing the carnage.
Like 10 minutes ago in Black ops 3 I found a player named Autism Killer who was both invisible and invincible(I know they are invincible because they didn't die once the entire map and was right next to my grav spikes) and they got a mother ship and everyone in the lobby left because of it.
Mw2019 was the first game I got a gun class diamond (platinum) since Bo2. Definitely played more than I should of, very enjoyable. I don't like warzone however, it seemed good at first, with the gulag and revive system, and I thoroughly enjoyed those systems, but the more I played, the more it seemed that it was plagued by the same BR problems, getting sniped from miles away, not understanding the meta, or just not being able to win the late game gunfights, simply because I was bad and not good enough to win against the sweats.
Great video. I don’t agree at all. But a great video nonetheless For me, Modern Warfare 2019 is what caused me to stop playing cod until Cold War came out. Since the MW beta, i knew I wasn’t going to have a good time. It felt so rough to me, but I thought I’d still give it a shot. When the final game came out, it was so frustrating to play, that I stopped within the month of release. It left such a sour taste in my mouth that I refused to touch Warzone, and still haven’t touched it much since. But after it’s season was fully over. I tried it again this year, despite the horrible gameplay design decisions still somewhat being present and showing it’s ugly head. It can be fun, this game in my opinion, definitely needed more time in development, even though the development went swimmingly for IW, a lot of the design decisions pulled this game down for everyone. Including me, but fortunately I came back and tried post season, and it sweetened my taste a little.
not to be a reductionist bastard, but as someone who hasn’t liked a cod since bo2 and then finally felt like they were back on track w mw2019, reading ur post kinda seemed like u were talking in circles a bit without explicitly naming the design decisions u dislike. only thing i can think of is sbmm but that’s every game these days. would u care to be a bit more specific? to clarify, i’m not arguing or calling u stupid or saying u have a shitty opinion but instead just wondering how u think.
@@replexity terrible maps with an okay weapon pool (DLC weapons beef it up considerably tho) Terrible Spec Ops Warzone is basically an antithesis of BR and terrible as well And then the campaign is only average due to the story not being as strong as previous games of the series as well as the war crime/patriotism infatuation plaguing the campaign. Some cool missions but not enough to recommend the game as a whole to play it when the only fun aspects are Hardcore Shoot the Ship and a couple missions in the campaign.
@@replexity Aside from skill based match making being rough, the game in itself felt rough, the maps felt rough, the movement felt rough, the gun/game play mechanics felt rough, and the progression felt rough. It was very obnoxious having to double click tac sprint to even have a reasonable amount of speed to get anywhere, and then having to do that on maps with multiple lines of sight, with poor visibility, no mini-map, and doors. It was horrible. It was a game infested with nothing but camping. And after finishing these dreadful camping matches, to be met with horrible weapon progression going up 70 levels per each gun, it felt very demoralising. To me it felt nothing like what cod should be.
The stupid practice of making it a requirement to play an "offline" you need online for it AND fork over another $50 to have a psn account just to play an "offline" mode..
MW19 multiplayer has to be one of the best ever, it was the first cod I felt that returned to classic cod, like the gun fights in this game are insane.
@Red Herb people have their own opinions, not everyone has the same view of how "Classic" Cod feels. I respect your opinion, if you don't think the game was good or that it didn't feel like older games then okay but try not to decide for other people
Chopper, I was on the same server with you the other day on MW2 PC MP ( the old school one). And it was the first time I've played this game. I just decided to check it out.
MW 2019 will be known as the biggest clickbait anti cod ever with biggest flop 3rd mode of all time. I've never played a cod mp that felt like it, so slow and designed to not move. It went backwards removing basic features, unfixing things game decade ago fixed, brought no map voting, lobbies disbanding and strict sbmm. Sales mean nothing, what about refunded, sold, hardly played. Games of past were mainly physical copies much harder to know stats. Playerbase deteriated faster than lightning. Even a pandemic couldn't get this mp game popular with active playerbase. Only warzone a f2p mode had to be unleashed to save its embarrassment. Fact 💯
I enjoyed the game, not as much as other cod games but it was enjoyable. The game was integral in bringing cod to where it is now, and was the start of a new era. I respect it for what it was, even though I prefer Cold War infinitely over the game for this new era. As always, this was an incredible video that you’ve created
The only reason all of you praise the ever living F out of this game is because it's very smooth and has awesome graphics. Beside that it's really not a good game at all. The campaign is basically Red Alert 2 in 3D and the multiplayer is crawling with cheaters and tryhards. Once you get used to all the good things in the game it quickly looses the appeal.
Something that had way more impact than is given credit is Modern Warfare Remastered. It's a fantastic game (later tainted by activision's monetization) that had the heft and grit MW 2019 would go for, while being developed and released along side Infinity Ward's development cycle. During pre-planning and the beginning of full development, I think IW saw the potential of what Raven had shown could be done and ran for it
hot take, i really like the spec ops and survival mode on this game, maybe because i have full squad of friends that i can rely with it is also the best method for leveling gun if you dont want to be smack by SBMM by just playing operation strongbox where you can just spam Thermite to enemies as long as you didn't cut the vault. I did understand if you're a solo player and the game force you to play with 4 randoms people, and they don't know what to do on specific mission, it could be very frustrating. not to mention survival mode being one year exclusivity for playstation is the biggest dumb move they can ever pull on that one
It’s the best COD of all time. Coming from someone who started playing cod 3 in 2006 as a 6th grader to every cod since From graphics, movement, feel, realism. This game hit it out of the park. Weapon customization. Everything is the best in this game in my opinion. It brought the boyz back together !
@@thetruth5350 that's how I came to the conclusion...yes played enough to analyze it and know how bad it is The pros of the game are a couple campaign missions, Hardcore Shoot the Ship & Gunfight. That's about it.
MW2019 was the light at the end of the tunnel that was the dark era of call of duty beginning from Ghosts. It was the ray of hope we needed after living through so many long years of abysmal cods
MW2019 is why I’m playing COD again. Aside from waiting for the game to go on sale, and playing the campaign and hardly touching MP this one got me all the way in. Also wasn’t Broadcast a COD4 map? Plus I’ve never under how someone’s able to jump around a corner and keep their aim dead on to a target. Spec Ops was absurdly difficult at launch…it never did get balanced as well as it should have been. As for the story, seeing as their sales track record and how they’ve created 2 entire universes in the COD space that fell flat, AW, and Ghosts, if I had to guess the reason they did the ending with the TF141 scene was in case it fell flat and didn’t do well they could wrap this up as a prequel to COD4 and move on…now they have had big success with MW2019 they’re doing alt universe stuff. Hopefully MW2022 doesn’t end up retreading the story of MW2 and 3 for the sake of just because
One thing that I want is that each cod developer had there own engine that they made like mw2019 did. Could give a separate feeling. But that’s to much to ask
@@RamallaRed im not talking about the game being bad. The game was purposely sabotaged when vanguard released and no one did anything about it. So its absolutely not an opinion because cod confirmed for themselves they can do anything and people would still buy because the title.
I wouldn’t say this game revived cod as the idea of a mw game after 8 years of futuristic and bad cods was enough to sell the game on its own, warzone is what carried this game through after the disastrous launch of the mp and spec ops.
Its a real shame these games got overwhelmed withupdates that made it almost unplayable (if you didnt everyday and did the daily updates) i stopped playing whrn the 70gb updates happened every couple weeks for warzone that were required to play online.
Modern warfare was the first game where I got the mastery camo. Good lord, those launchers were PAIN, and it took me damn well a year of blood swears and tears, but I will admit looking back I most certainly had fun most of the time
I was definitely of the same mindset. I stopped playing cod after mw3 and saw gameplay for mw2019 which I never bought or played but is leading to me to buy mw2. Story telling looks great and gameplay looks great. I love this style of storytelling and the maps in the beta looked like a return to form.
I did not see a mention of the experience manipulation, the lack of a ranked mode, the changes to the minimap. The inability to innovate in your classes or try silly things because the sbmm is so damn hard that you can’t enjoy itself for more than an hour
despite its many flaws, it can’t be denied at all that cod would not be where it is right now without this game
Amen brother.
Yeah cod wouldn’t be at the worst state without this game
In an awful state, yeah.
i mean even though I think it's one of the worst I do agree with you you can't denie the impact in had on the series along with warzome

I love how Piccadilly, and most maps in this game, force me to consider my movement and positioning instead of just running down one of 3 lanes and shooting the minute I see someone.
@@transmundanemusic I like it in the campaign but outside of snd its really just not good. Rewards camping in a building waaaay too much
@@medicfdumbo This complaint is overblown imo.
@@transmundanemusicPiccadilly just sucks as a map it’s not even just campers it’s the way it’s laid out makes it awful
What makes me NOT hate the Alex sacrifice is that throughout the game, Alex talks about not getting to choose what he does and where he goes in his life and this was the one thing he felt he could do that was something he believed in
Coldwar for me
But the modernwarfsre campaign was my favorite part of that game it was soooooo good

MW19 only brought back cod in a bad way.
red herb's either a troll or a kid, ignore him. and mw brought back cod better than ever. that new spicy engiene, awesome gunplay, smooth movement and innovations were more than worth it. it lit up hope for cod to be a good franchise again for a lot of people. its just that the consumers started becoming toxic after mw3 and everyone started whining over simplest of things. newer players camp in practically every modern cod, even mwr. mw had a lot of ways to counteract that but the players chose to not adapt. halo and cod fans are just toxic like that. even so, iw leaving the game after its launch and raven's incompetence at handling the post launch content didn't help much.

The reason alex wanted to plant the charge in the last mission is because as he says in the cutsean with him going off with Farah too help her people, he says that he is tired of being told what to do and following orders and in the last mission, he tells Farah that this is one thing he acually truly wants to do, so it has more of a meaning for him.
also its a way for him to possibly disappear from the cia (if he escapes)

Every single COD since this game has essentially been a cheap imitation trying to recapture this game’s success. COD Vanguard is just MW 2019 with a WW2 coat of paint, and In Cold War, this game’s influences are seen plain as day.
The reason they had to destroy the factory then and there is because it was not an official US/UK operation and Russians would send reinforcements to secure it after disowning Barkov.

You're not in the minority, at least in terms of the OG's who properly understand the COD franchise, not these newbies who came from the lockdowns.
The new mw2 campaign is awesome but I understand your point

My friends and I still come back here and there and MW might be my favorite for search and destroy.
This game really made clear what players Activision wants. The best sold cod doesn't mean the best cod. There are a lot of good or perfect things in mw2019, but there are MORE things that hit hard and suck. The movement okay, but the 3 bullet AR time to kill killed the fun in this game. Same here in mw 2 2022
And now look at it haha
I love these videos so in-depth and we can tell you out a lot of work into it.
How Modern Warfare 2019 *ruined a series. Sales don’t always mean success
I still remember my initial shock of seeing the carnage.
seeing as how you fail when you shoot the kid and i think the wife in that butcher part its not much of a choice lol
You can just choose not to shoot anyone, that's what I did in that part
Infinity ward needs to learn that some things you just don’t fuck with
Like 10 minutes ago in Black ops 3 I found a player named Autism Killer who was both invisible and invincible(I know they are invincible because they didn't die once the entire map and was right next to my grav spikes) and they got a mother ship and everyone in the lobby left because of it.
But a great video nonetheless
For me, Modern Warfare 2019 is what caused me to stop playing cod until Cold War came out.

Hot take: I’ll be honest, I didn’t like it at all. I found Cold War to be much better.
MW19 multiplayer has to be one of the best ever, it was the first cod I felt that returned to classic cod, like the gun fights in this game are insane.
@Red Herb people have their own opinions, not everyone has the same view of how "Classic" Cod feels. I respect your opinion, if you don't think the game was good or that it didn't feel like older games then okay but try not to decide for other people
BEST COD.
I did understand if you're a solo player and the game force you to play with 4 randoms people, and they don't know what to do on specific mission, it could be very frustrating. not to mention survival mode being one year exclusivity for playstation is the biggest dumb move they can ever pull on that one
with both new MW games i was mad when they originally came out then i played them and had an enjoyable time in campaign and MP
It’s the best COD of all time. Coming from someone who started playing cod 3 in 2006 as a 6th grader to every cod since
From graphics, movement, feel, realism. This game hit it out of the park. Weapon customization. Everything is the best in this game in my opinion. It brought the boyz back together !
Realism not so much. For example the guns are really cursed and butchered. But it luckily doesn't matter because the rest is great.
@@honzabalak3462 for a cod game it was the best realism
how does it feel playing a top 3 worst COD game?
@@jetthejudge ask yourself you probably play/ played it too
@@thetruth5350 that's how I came to the conclusion...yes
played enough to analyze it and know how bad it is
The pros of the game are a couple campaign missions, Hardcore Shoot the Ship & Gunfight. That's about it.
24:35 this mission reminded of that Michael Bay movie called 13 hours which I think was also a true story. Pretty solid 👌
Yes Benghazi was a real tragedy. I’m 100% certain it was meant to both mirror and make a homage to it
MW2019 was the light at the end of the tunnel that was the dark era of call of duty beginning from Ghosts. It was the ray of hope we needed after living through so many long years of abysmal cods
Ur forgetting mw 2019 itself is also bad aswell as cw and vanguard being even worse
@@AT-bd3fb CW is better than MW (2019) tho...by a decent margin
❤ Have watched ur full series of these videos!!! U made a masterpiece..
Hopefully MW2022 doesn’t end up retreading the story of MW2 and 3 for the sake of just because
It’s always a good day when we get a new video from you. I’m always able to kill at least an hour😎
Better than cold war and vanguard that's for sure
All three of them are terrible
@@alimak_ Nah. MW is average. It's not good but not terrible. Vanguard is simply the bottom of the barrel in comparison.
Not CW...no
One thing that I want is that each cod developer had there own engine that they made like mw2019 did. Could give a separate feeling. But that’s to much to ask
Modern warfare 19 started the fall of cod.
that's just like your opinion man
@@RamallaRed im not talking about the game being bad.
Black ops cold war is better. Zombies mode alone has more content than entire MW 2019 game
Its a real shame these games got overwhelmed withupdates that made it almost unplayable (if you didnt everyday and did the daily updates) i stopped playing whrn the 70gb updates happened every couple weeks for warzone that were required to play online.
infinity ward hasnt made anything good since zombies in spaceland. Ghost is even better than all the shit they have made since
Modern warfare was the first game where I got the mastery camo. Good lord, those launchers were PAIN, and it took me damn well a year of blood swears and tears, but I will admit looking back I most certainly had fun most of the time
The worst thing that happened to the COD
that's just like your opinion man
I was definitely of the same mindset. I stopped playing cod after mw3 and saw gameplay for mw2019 which I never bought or played but is leading to me to buy mw2. Story telling looks great and gameplay looks great. I love this style of storytelling and the maps in the beta looked like a return to form.
Wher errybody at
Dog how are you here ??

Time travelers seem to be everywhere recently
I did not see a mention of the experience manipulation, the lack of a ranked mode, the changes to the minimap. The inability to innovate in your classes or try silly things because the sbmm is so damn hard that you can’t enjoy itself for more than an hour
