We are Stina & Matti and we live in Northern Sweden in a small place called Jokkmokk. Except for making videos we also run a small company called JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA and a kennel called WORKING HUSKY KENNEL. We offer guided outdoor tours in Swedish Lapland all around the year. During the winter we mostly do dog sled tours and in the summertime, it’s hiking tours, wildlife safaris, canoe, and packraft trips. We live year-round in Jokkmokk with our Siberian Husky and 2 Border Collies.

What sled do you use? What sleds have you tried in the past and what sleds do you have now? Could you make a video on the things you like and found that you don't like in the sleds you have and have tried over the years? Could talk about the smaller equipment like snow hooks, types of brakes, the type of bungees.
I am looking forward to upgrading my sled and the options out there leave me questioning what people like or don't like about certain things or features that I don't have the experience to know what I will fully want in my next sled.

Yesterday it was 35oC here in Melbourne Australia. My freezer only goes to -20oC. I cannot imagine what -25oC would be like.
Thank you for an interesting video and I agree with ensuring your dogs are well cared for.
It would be interesting if you did videos on setting up camp and what is done and not done. How layers are adjusted. How food is prepared given the cold.
Also where and where not to set up camp. General survival skills. How to cook meals.

Matti, Really good vid. Beautiful this time of year. So cool to be cruising along in such a wonderful place om a clear day. Hope the dog gets well with his foot/leg issue. Harsh environment and a lot of hard work on their part. They love it. Next time stay safe.

It always brings a smile to my face when Matti's trained eye notices some small difference about one or more of the dogs, something that Matti must look at up close with the dog.
Feeding one of your dogs more often than the others - things like that are what I find so interesting with Matti & Stina.
I've just finished reading "Crossing Antarctica" by Will Steger - the 6 man International Tran-Antarctica Team used dog sleds to cross 3,741 miles back in 1990

Today I’m out on the trail again together with Laban. It’s the third day out of six. Today I forgot to give some extra snacks to Laban… but directly when I recognised my mistake I stopped my team. I grabbed some food and when I looked up Laban had turned around the whole team and stood close to the sled. He was supposed to be my leader in the front… 🤣
Anyway… he got his snacks and then he continued with his great job as a leader.
      He is really a personality!!!

Awesome adventure! I was out fat biking for 89 km yesterday and in the evening I tried to dry my fleece by riding in the wind, it rapidly cooled my body and it hurt like crazy - not a good idea! Maybe similar to what happened to your guest. I have a husky who wants to be very warm and dry, she loves her puffy when we're camping, and a puppy who doesn't care about cold at all lol

We are sorry to have to leave again today to our home in Austria. But we will be back again as we decided to buy a cabin (at Moskosel) in our beloved Sweden. Stina passed by with a dog sled yesterday on the lake - we are the ones with the Nov Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
And one day I will be on a dogsled tour with you!
