    Hej Matti,
Annie is a such a sweatheart, she slept two nights in my bed in the cabin during dog sledding tour beginning of march this year. She stretched out in the bed as much as she could 😂🥰🥰. Lovely doggy friend.
Looking forward for the next tour very soon

Yes… Annie is really sweet. But it’s amazing how big space such a small dog could occupy in a bed!!!
      🤣
Welcome back and see you soon!

Hi Matti, what a wonderfull memory of this trip! You are a sneaky filmer 😂 I never noticed you filmed this much☺
Thanks to you (and Stina!). Thanks to my 3 "old and wise" 🐕ladies Fenja, Flisan en Bethan, who made me work hard on the lakes on the warm days. Saving energy, but at the end of the day had the energy to pull me up the hill effortlessly. Thanks to the guys Indy and Isak, who had no other job than to follow the ladies😁. Thanks to Theresa, Julian and Christian.
All of you made this trip unforgettable!!

Do you looking for a loong time rental or just a weekend? Air B&B is sometimes good and sometimes Facebook. Serch for different Jokkmokk groups with Jokkmokk in the name. 'köpe/sälj Jokkmokk' etc.
If iy's short time or of season it's also an idea to check with campings like Skabram stugby.

    Hi Matti and Stina!
I have been following you for a little bit more than year now, discovered the channel when I got my husky puppy, I was looking for tips on how to go camping in the nature with a dog and things like that.
Now my dog is 1y6m old and we just finished our first little tour in France. It was a five day trip from Alençon to Mt St Michel, in total we did 190km. I was cycling and my dog could either run besides the bike, pull the bike or rest in a trailer.
I thought it would be an easy trip as we would do between 25 and 46 km a day (which is not much for a bycicle ride), but it turned out quite difficult because managing a dog is not that easy hahahaha. I was not ready for the mental load and ended up quite stressed out. I was always asking myself : Am I asking to much of her? Is she happy to be "forced" to run forward for so long? Is it to hot? Is she drinking enough? Is she to tired?
In the end I was worrying so much about the dog that I was not taking much care of myself. I was not drinking, eating nor sleeping enough which made everything more difficult. I wanted to be as lightweight as possible so I did not bring anything nice for me. The only sweets I had were protein bars (not very tasty), I had nothing nice planed for breakfeast, not even salt or oil to pimp up my pasta. But my dog had toys, treats and bones to chew. Things she was not interested in as she was to tired from running all day.
I was wondering, how do you know what your dog needs? Such as the fact that one of them needs to eat more or that the other had a back problem?
I thinks this trip I did helped me appreciate your work even more. Thank you very much for sharing your sleeding adventures and your overall experience.

Hello, and thanks for watching! I hope you find some useful tips and ideas sometimes.
I would spontaneously say that the distance you made was quite a long distance for a dog. I would plan for shorter with a possibility to make d-tours if I have to much time... But sorry. That wasn't your question.
      :-)
In lots of long-distance dogsled races this, what you made, is a very common mistake. Everything for the dogs and forgot about yourself. Also with preparation before the race. The dogs get top-quality dog food, and high-level training programs but the musher... junk food and coffee... :-)
The dog needs good food and water. Then a nice place to sleep. I always keep my dog inside the tent during summer because of mosquitos. If you give so much activity you don't need toys.
The dog also needs time off.
Normally the dog is just happy to be with you.
      You need some extra gear...
Booties for protection of the feet if they get soured or just for prevention.
      The temperature...
We don't run our dogs if it's warmer than +15C. They can get overheated. I don't know if it's different with dogs living in the South. I have overheated one dog many years ago. It took him more than 2 years to recover...
Stay tuned. This winter I made a video about how we take care of our dogs during a season, out on a trail. Maybe there are some useful tips in that video.
...and don't forget to bring a book for you and lot's of good food. Make food into a nice part of your outdoor life. :-)
      Take care!
      / Matti
