Bulgaria have a cucumber cold soup called Tarator. Amazingly tasty and refreshing 😋 We mix water and yogurt 50/50 and add cucumber chopped in the smallest cubes. Add salt, garlic, parsley, oil and vinegar 👌😋 you can also sprinkle walnuts in the end
I made this recipe with one additional ingredient, a whole creamy avocado. OMG it was SOOOOOO GOOD!! I really enjoy your recipes. My favorite that I had to stop making because I made it 3 times in 2 months, was the ramen soup in the creamy coconut milk with seafood and dumplings!! Holy man did I go to town on that one!!!!
I actually really enjoyed how you fumbled about the kitchen. 'I just need to do this. Please tell me I have that'. This is what cooking is actually like in a real kitchen😂 I've hit Subscribe
I prefer dill, but making it exactly the same, just sub the dill for the mint, or use both, even better. Cold shrimp on the side is great also. Thanks for the easy recipe Sam 😋
hey Sam, how often do u get rid of the garbage that is in that drawer right under your counter??? I've had the idea of doing that but worry about the smell and don't feel like throwing it our everyday might be cost effective.... please share your thoughts
I like that you deseeded, but I don't think you need to peel. Maybe half peel. I always salt the deseeded Cucumber, dry it out for a while, then wash and wipe it down.
So basically cucumber raitha....I would avoid the 1/4 cup milk though.....unboiled milk and yogurt do not mix well....also while cutting the edges on the cucumber so much was wasted!!!
I am mixing unboiled milk and curd for years. Dnt worry, make this. It is tasty. And it is no way even near to Raita, very different. But tasty indeed 👌👌
Pretty bland with the recipe as-is, but a good starting point for a cold cucumber soup... To enhance the flavor add another 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 1 Tbsp lime juice, 2 Tbsp sugar, 1/2 cup cilantro, and 1/8 tsp chili oil.
Isn't this one of the most wasteful recipes ever existed? Literally 50% of the cucumber which also happen to be the most nutritious parts of it, are being scrapped straight into the bin wtf
Dude, you stuck the spoon that you used to taste the soup back in the bowl. Then you spooned up a cup for the camera man. I’m sure he doesn’t want to consume your germs. Disgusting!
Over condimented. also at 7:35 he tastes the soup with spoon and then puts it back in the bowl transferring saliva into the mix, that is a big NONO, not hygienic and a way to transfer diseases, And he keeps wiping his hands on his pants (butt) ... Please use a towel and wear an apron.
the ONE AND ONLY WAY PEOPLE SHOULD BE MAKING "CUCUMBER SOUP" WHICH IS CALLED TARATOR, IS BY SIMPLY MIXING SMALL CUT CUCUMBER WITH SOUR YOGURT WHICH IS THE NATURAL YOGURT NOT THAT SWEET GROSS GREEK YOGURT , THEN YOU SHOULD ADD WATER, DILL ,SALT AND GARLIC AND BOOM YOUR DONE , WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE WITH FRESH MILK
Different countries have similar recipes and purple can make they own versions and share them on UA-cam. Many countries have their own cucumber gazpacho or chłodnik traditions...
I like the lack of music in the background. The only sound is what's happening in the room. It's like a good hang with a buddy and I love it.

In Turkey we have the same.

In this 100° weather with a bunch of random cucumbers, this is definitely getting made this week
Use white pepper, couple o mint leaves, and garnish with a very small dice of cukes. Badda boom badda bing, Robert’s your fathers brother!
Made it, loved it. Fresh and balanced
Thanks for sharing this recipe

Why?
@@xyzzer To dry it out a bit, and enhance the flavour.
good recipe. You wash the mint & cucumber first. Right?
OG Sam with a great recipe here. I like adding jalapeños in moderation and a yellow pepper for "substance".
The mad scientists in me wants to do this with a watermelon.

He said it was so good than goes for another pinch of salt😂😂 thats something id do.
Why waste all the skins and seeds to leave the relatively tasteless flesh? Just cut up and blend!
seeds makeit bitter
The peel and seeds contain most of the lectins.
How much calories in per serving
I find using the seeds gives the soup a little texture.
Gonna try
Who is the back seat driver? Keep quiet, we are watching

Milk in lemon?
I don't think the seeds and skins should be wasted like that. You it for something else instead of throwing it away!
Thank you Sam, i am karim from Morocco
Oh I too thought ginger had to have skin removed.
I am surpised he didn't top the serving with a mint leaf! ALSO, Sam... what do you recommend as a "really good" EVOO?
max is so fancy
Add a little vodka...
Yak! Did not wash mint leaves!
He double dipped his spoon ;-;
For some reason this nice cucumber soup has brought out all the sanctimonious a-holes to comment.
Why when you put or to add some thing, you can not say. .
Mate, you just made tarator.
Tasting 2 times with same spoon?
Gross, I hope he didn't give that to anyone else
Happy shopping
Just plain cucumber raitha😀
💆♂️💆♂️..sleep sleep..
Subah nahi hui abhi BHI...so jao so jao
Noosa yogurt is bomb. Check it Sam
Coconut milk better
1:37 what the hell is this guy doing???

Fabulous...
Try '' CACIK'' u won't be sad :)
The tarator is actually milk and cucumber
:/
Fruit gazpacho
much prefer Lin over max. max is annoying
this video is kind of a whole lot of nothing. 2 minute video with 10 minute watch time
You sound like me when I taste my own cooking. Son of a bi*** that’s good! I want to make this with a different herb other than mint. Rosemary? Dill?
So much food waste. I hope you compost.
I just rolled my eyes so hard it hurts.

In some cultures sharing the same dish, utensils, drink bottles etc is considered normal and if you decline you're considered rude or immature...
I will never understand the idea of "regular olive oil" 😂 why not use the good stuff instead of buying the shitty stuff?
Chobani yogurt! Horrible1
Hy
Camera man very bad

He puts the spoon in the bowl to taste it and again puts the same spoon in the bowl. How unhygienic

No need to scream. Everyone has the right to have their own recipes and if you don't like it - feel free to look for another one
The background voice is really annoying.
this is more of a raita than a soup
