I love how Brad just can't not be himself, no matter how serious they try to make the video
Gotta love Brad. He makes a video so enjoyable
@@MrFredstt He's the only reason I watch now. Everyone I liked is gone
Bringing the golden retriever energy.
Don't you miss it's alive?
@@gabrielromero9058 I do
LMAO Brad’s finger bath had me cackling 😂👌🏽
Chris is a fantastic teacher that makes cooking approachable. Thank you for fostering a love of cooking in people.
Love that the same pot was used for every recipe! Nice touch & makes it feel more approachable 😊
Hahah Brad's war stories always cheer me up. Reminds me of the good'ol BA days
same
really miss the old crew
SAME!
Using Thai red curry in the tomato soup is genius! I'm gonna make that one, for sure. The clam chowder and miso soup looks delish, too!
Yea that was a good idea!
Zaynab’s simple dumpling soup seems brilliant. Something I actually could and would make for lunch.
Zaynab is SUPER clear with her instructions and explanations. Well done!
that kimchi soup looks so good and easy
I am 100% making that dumpling soup! Zaynab did a great job explaining every step.
I have tried 4 of the soups so far. Brads was easy and good. The chowder was fantastic and my first time buying and cooking clams, and the Kimche Jjigae was good but i am still developing my palate for it. I have ingredients for the last 2 soups, looking forward to it! I would love to see a second installment of 5 ingredient soups. Lets just keep it going. For Brads soup i think cooking the pasta half way and then letting the pasta finish cooking in the stock and giving it time to all come together. The leftovers was much better than it was initially just pouring the broth over the cooked pasta. The red curry tomato soup was delicious. I was worried about it being too thin but after resting and the blender incorporating air it is thick and creamy. This soup of course goes with large crispy homemade croutons like Panera bread.
So cool that you're making all the soups! I've been cooking kimchi jigae since I was a child, and it's comfort food now. Will have to try the clam chowder and red curry tomato soups. I agree, would love to see a second installment of the 5 ingredient soup please :)
Brad's knife is SOOO sharp
Just made Hana‘s kimchi soup. Where has this been all my life? it is now my new favorite soup and I made it with leftover spiral cut ham. Game changer ❤❤ 😋
My mom uses spam!
Add enoki mushrooms and poach an egg while it boils 👌🏻🤤🤤
If you have more time, you can make a simple stock with dried anchovies, mushrooms and seaweed or even clams. The stock adds a buttload of umami to the soup!
HANA AND HER KIMCHI JJIGAE STOLE MY HEART
recently learned to make kimchi jjigae and have since had it at least once a week. it is so warm, hearty, and satisfying, and most of the ingredients are ones i always have on hand now so i don't have to plan ahead.
Brad - Run away with me! Please?
Zaynab - You are stunning.
Shilpa - Toasting the curry paste in coconut fat? Life-changing!
Hana - This looks scrummy :)
Chris - You’re so classic.
Rachel - Spot on!
I can’t wait to try out all of these soups
I became absolutely obsessed with the dumpling soup. I make it SO often when WFH. So easy and soooo delicious. I often add whatever veg i have in the fridge too, broccolini or pak choi, so yummy.
How long has Hana been at Bon Appetite? I've never seen her before. I really like her, she has a really pleasant way of explaining things. I want some of her soup too.
What I’m hearing is you have a star , an onion derivative , creamy substance (whether milk itself or creamy texture), umami/meaty/earthy bit, and then something juicy and flavorful 🎉
don't forget the acid - tomato, lemon, kimchi, ...
Love all of these. Need to make that detilini soup Brad made. Have never had that!
Yeah that look so yum, I think my 2 year old would love it too, just less cheese because of the salt (I love salt personally).
@@kaiju_k5042 that much cheese is kinda cheating 🙂
Really enjoy Hana, she is a delight. Her soup looks amazing!
Really want to try kimchi jjigae. Looks delicious.
Shilpa has the best pointers, actual tips not just the recipe. Love her
RIP Brad. Here's to his new and better channel
"Now can I just eat without speaking" the most relatable sentence ever spoken on a BA video 😂
Always good to see Brad
MORE SHILPA !! her soup looks the best by far and i agree with the cooking tips whole heartedly. And is Brad ok? someone needs to call a medic for him
My winners are:
1. Chris’ Clam Chowder
2. Shilpa’s Red curry Tomato Soup
3. Zaynab’s Dumpling Soup
I love Zaynab’s recipe’s they’re always super easy quick and delicious! Shilpa blew my mind with that curry tomato!!! And the clam chowder is so easy and hearty I would definitely make that!
I love that every one of these can be made vegetarian/vegan with a little substitution, although the clam chowder would diverge the most and require the most makeover. Oyster mushrooms are a common vegan substitute for clams. I would use shiitakes in place of the pork chops in the kimchi jjigae. The easiest and most obvious is substituting vegetable stock/bouillon for the meat versions in the various recipes.
yess
mushroom broth is very good as a meat broth substitute cause it’s so flavourful
you would also need something to replace the bonito flakes in the miso soup
Thanks for the tips! Lately i have hard time to find BA video recipes that are vegan/vegetarian.
Brad can turn a PB & J recipe into a 30 minute video with all his side-stories 😂
Pinch=big hefty waterfall got it
With salt it always looks alot in those videos because they use coarse kosher salt. If you use a similar looking amount of regular or table salt it will be too much.
3:38 haha
Look up"pinch" videos. You can learn something. A chefs pinch, is completely different than a regular person, taking it literal.
Pinch or punch?
A pinch = however much you can pinch. He pinched with all five fingers, and that counts.
Chris always gives such wonderful advice and does it in such a informative way.
This video makes me appreciate the diversity of humans. The different cultures, ingredients and personalities are just so delightful. It was fun watching each of you cook!
love the idea of the curry tomato soup, seems like it would be really easy to make, but also unique!
The clam chowder and miso soup both look amazing! Definitely will try to make each of them very soon!
Made the curry tomato soup for dinner last night and it was amazing! I topped it with a little feta.
I always loved clam chowder but thought it would be a whole process to make. Chris made it look simple, delicious and doable! Going to try ASAP !!! ❤
Brad can't contain how much he likes his soup
Excellent ideas!
Thanks!!! 🌻🌻🌻
Zaynab’s dumpling soup is calling me! 🤤
Loved it! 🤤
I’ve been obsessed with Miso soup lately! So quick and easy to make!
I liked seeing what utensils everyone chose to stir their soups with. Chris’s choice of a metal tablespoon was what drew my attention to it (bc like odd choice imo). But wooden spoons seemed to be the favorite (and is what I use too) but I liked Shilpa’s use of the spatula for rendering
ALL of these are going in my meal rotation.
All look amazing!
Cooking in coconut fat with red curry paste in tomato soup is GENIUS !!!!!
Right I was like wow 🤯 I deff need to try this
I really like this series good content good job everybody...
All these soups are amazing and easy to make.
they're all so good
Potatoes and bacon chowder.
Potato, bacon, evaporated milk, onion, celery.
Stuff that doesn’t count.
Water, Salt and pepper, herbs of your choice, paprika, flour/starch, oil.
It’s a killer cold weather recipe. Make some corn muffins with creamed corn and jiffy mix, save a couple teaspoons of the condensed milk for the muffin recipe. Add an egg in as well.
Condensed or evaporated milk? Just asking re the sugar content.
@@TheNinnyfee I see where they mentioned both, however it would have to be evaporated as condensed in the soup doesn't make sense
Love that hack for melting miso! I’ll be using that.
Korean people are responsible for some insane culinary magic. That soup looks awesome.
I did the kimchi one and it’s absolutely my new favorite soup!! Thank you so much!!
I’m so impressed by the clam chowder recipe!
Some great looking soups!
You had me at soup 😍
lol
I love to cook Kimchi Jjigea so delicious, and now I will have to cook the amazing looking tomato soap. But all the soups looked delicious.
The extreme contrast between Hana and Brad is too funny
love Brad being all goofy, he is the best. great soups yall!
All delicious looking, obviously.
Well now I want all of the soups!
i want to make all these soups, already have everything for the dumpling one
I really love Chris! great approach to every dish and always something interesting! he makes me feel like I can be a chef :)
I love this channel so much.
Can't wait to try Zaynab & Shilpa's soups!!
As good as the rest of this episode was, Brad stole the show once again!! Bring Brad series back! Send him to every corner of the Earth! It’s what the people want
Idk what it is but I freaking love soups. Maybe that homey feeling you get when you eat them 🤔
I love brad sm
We need pt 2!!
I like the clam chowder and the miso soup.
I happened to see this video this morning, and the family asked for soup for dinner. I made Hana’s Kimchi Jjigae and Shilpa’s Creamy Spicy Tomato Soup. The only changes I made were adding some red pepper flakes and a little fish sauce to the Kimchi Jjigae. Both soups were easy to make and very flavorful. They will both go into our regular soup rotation.
Thanks for sharing!
All of these look so delicious :P
That red curry coconut tomato soup sounds amazing
I love this series so much. It inspires me so much. Brings me a lot of joy.
Braddd u look amazing❤️❤️
Made Hana's kimchi jjigae last night. Easy and simple but had so much flavor! Can't wait to try em all!
It's summer here in Australia, and so I should be thinking salads, but... now I want soup 😋
As someone that could eat soup every meal of every day I’m saving this one!
I want to give a thumbs up for each soup!
Brad never fails to be the highlight of a video
I am in pantry/freezer purge mode to prep for a move and that tomato soup will now be on the menu for tomorrow. YESSS sounds so good and I just happen to have all the ingredients! I eat a healing diet to reverse chronic illness so my wife is always confused why I watch a cooking show with ingredients I choose not to eat but I still get so much inspiration! Like red curry paste in tomato soup DUH bomb.
Wao,It' s look very delicious!!!!,I just smathed!!!
I can totally imagine making Zaynab’s soup.
Would love a video of them recommending a cookbook
I saw this video and made dumpling soup for my next meal. Phenomenal! Never thought to put frozen dumplings in soup
I can't be the only one who wants to try all the soups 😋
1. Brad Leone, never change, you are so weird.
Brad. I think you need your own channel. Your life sounds more exciting than the test kitchen.
Shilpa's curry soup is just outstanding! I made it twice in a week.
Fantastic video as delicious 🤤 as soup 💐💐💐👌🔥
Thanks Zaynab!
Fantastic video
Oh my gosh… Brad… What a cutie! He’s fun to watch
Thai curry tomato soup?!?!?! Genius!!!
한식 좋아요♡
“lil finger bath” is now being added to my repertoire
The tomato soup looks delicious
Brad's blowing up my spot in philly with this t-shirt rn 🫠
Best story about a finger cut I've ever heard
love brad!
