Maxwell just finds him really annoying, but I like how Wortox just flat out says "I don't think he knows how to use it." when examining the Codex Umbra. Since souls are Wortox's whole jam, I like to think he can see through the egotistical persona and just sees the pathetic William Carter.
Some of my favs which didn't make it into the video: Warly's examination quotes for the Switcherdoodles have him offering to help Webber bake something better next time Woodie collects toys for the kids Despite Wolfgang being afraid of Wendy, she seems to want to be friends with him (one of her quotes has her get annoyed that he pretends to get lost when she invites him to play) Winona and Wigfrid have arm-wrestling competitions
Maxwell Chorusbox circuit examination:"They wouldnt..." It fits in two ways since it is the damn annoying sound that Maxwell has heard for a ridiculous time, and the fact that maxwell wont get much benefit from sanity boosts.
Some of my favorite interactions are probably Wolfgang being terrified of Walter's campfire stories, Webber saying the bloonfin tuna looks like wendy (to which she takes great offense) and Wanda commending Walter on his time manipulation in her quote for slowdown rounds.
When Maxwell examines a The leaky tea cup trinket he meantions having mandrake tea with Wickerbottom. First off, how dare they waste the mandrake in such a way, second, of course the Wickerbottom can drink it since she has insomnia, and three, thats just very wholesome
It's also an interesting insight into how their ideas of their relationship seem to differ. Most of Wickerbottom's quotes about Maxwell imply she sees him as one of those she takes care of, but the teacup comment from him implies he sees her more like a peer.
my favourite interactions are with the broken pearl those are some sad interactions like withfrid: "the battle is won but at what cost?" or wormwood who just says: "broken"
As annoying as pearls tasks can be, I do them on EVERY save. I love my crabby old lady friend. When she goes granny mode after she gives you the pearl and asks if you are okay if your health or sanity are low. She asks if you have been eating enough if you're hungry. I love her 😭
I like to see Wes as the designated babysitter for the kids (and Wormwood who behaves like a pet) but always ends up in a situation where the kids get into trouble but somehow none of them get hurt (Wes does, A LOT)
i have no basis for this but i like to see wes as someone who helps warly in the kitchen but hes only allowed to do tasks he cant fuck up like peeling the potatos
I love that the same day you post this, we get the new animation "Hide & Seek," showing Winona and Wendy grow a stronger friendship by delving into the caves to save Abigail.
Some quotes I like, which I haven't seen being commented yet: Wendy's quote for rose-colored glasses: I hope you find her So either Wendy immediately sensed what they were for or Winona went out of her way to tell her,. Either way it's really sweet, especially after the animation video. Wormwood's quotes for the W.A.R.B.I.S head gear and armor: "Just like robot friend!" "Be strong, like robot friend!" Suggesting their friendship is canon, (at least one-sided ) WX-78's quote for Sack of Potatoes: ILLOGICAL. CARRY ME INSTEAD Which is a pretty cute concept. Willow's quote for a Cannon which ran out of ammo: "Darn it, I'm out...Hey Wes, you always wanted to try being a human cannonball, right?" Maxwell's quote for Frazzled Wires: I might hide those in WX's bedroll if I get bored. Wilson and Wigfrid referring to the lying robot as Hal, since that's the name WX-78 told them it had. Wendy's quote for Lucy "Hello..."Lucy"... I'd like you to meet my sister" and "Abigail likes you, Woodie...But she likes Lucy more" suggests that either Abigail, or both of them favor her over Woodie. (L) Woodie and Wilson complaining Wigfrid tries to spar with them with the Back scratcher. "Wigfrid keeps using it to 'spar' with me and Lucy. We're afraid." "Wigfrid keeps jumping out and hitting me with it?!" Maxwell's quote for frayed yarn "The monster child gets tangled in this frequently suggesting Webber plays with it like a cat. Maxwell actively bullying Wilson with the quotes such as: Whirlportal "Is it safe? We should send Wilson in first." Polar Bearger Bin- "Portable indeed. Wilson can carry it." Stuffed Night Cap- "Wilson should try it." Stupefying Lure- "I think Higgsbury already got too close to one of these." Wilson's only responses so far that he's crabby and short. Wormwood actively wanting beaver Woodie dead: Werebeaver- "Friend Eater! Keep away!" t Werebeaver (ghost) "Can't eat friends anymore" Weremoose- "Like Branch Head better than Friend Eater" Unrelated to a specific character dynamic but half the characters wanting to raise hell over getting raisings on hallowed nights and the other half just chilling and liking the raisins despite everything. Maybe I'll add some later. :V
surprisingly so it appears that wendy and maxwell DID acknowledge each other's existence beyond the "i sense the kinship" part XD wendy has some lines in her script files that suggest a conversation they might have had, and the first one speaks for itself :) though we don't know what maxwell answers in return as his line is entirely something else and unrelated XD i do wish we got something more than a hidden impossible-line to get SHADOWDIGGER = "Was he your brother?", SHADOWDANCER = "Father used to do silly dances like that.",
To me, it sounds more like they've learned a bit about each other, but haven't quite connected the dots yet. "Was he your brother" suggests Wendy knows Maxwell had a brother, but not that it was her father (after all, it kind of implies that she thinks Maxwell's brother might be dead, or that the shadow puppet is at least based on Maxwell's brother; either way, she'd know that 1) her father's alive, and 2) she'd recognize her father if it was based on him). Similarly, "Father used to do silly dances like that" suggests the dancing shadow puppet reminds Wendy of her father, but doesn't confirm that she's made the connection yet. My take remains that they don't realize their relation to each other, but feel a sense of connection nonetheless. My headcanon is them having lots of cute uncle-niece interactions on accident, all of which leave Maxwell equal parts annoyed and touched (and confused over why he cares).
Oh a really neat character interaction I want to share is that when Wortox is examining a Wes player, he says something along the lines of "let's practice our routine!" or will say "Those punches weren't part of the bit!" if the player attacks him, implying that Wortox and Wes likely practice comedy acts together for fun/entertainment.
The Winona and Wendy relationship from the recent animation is one of my favorite things ever. Along with the quote where Winona dares Willow to eat the dissicated tentacle
Since her skill tree update I've been quickly learning to love Willow as a character (both in gameplay and personality)! I'd LOVE a video about her and her specifically.
(also i have a friend ive known for maybe five years and Wendy's sacrifice line resonates with me. true friendship is threatening to sacrifice your friends to the incomprehensible moon gods!)
one i really like is a woodie quote about the rubber bung saying how he needs to remind willow to take a bath, which means that willow is just running around the constant not having washed herslef for god knows how long and probably smells worse than wurt 😭😭😭 this is more of a headcannon but i love the idea of woodie and waler running a sort of wilderness bootcamp together and at first it was for the other kids but then some of the adults sat in for the lessons maybe some of them even gave lessons like wicker would talk about the flora and fauna warly would talk about different foods and ways to cook stuff maxwell could share insight on the inner workings of the constant (though he only did it once since it bored most everyone) wigfrid and wolfgang would teach people how to fight!! i just think there could be so many interacticions with this idea yknow?
Willow says that water is useless when she examinates this item. Anyway, what causes bad smell is mostly the bacteria, not the dirt, so I belive she would takes a bath of fire instead, which could stop the bad smell but still leave her with a smell of coal
No mention of Maxwell and Winona's relationship? I'm surprised. The two dig at each other quite often, although it comes off as "rowdy older sibling teasing grumpy younger sibling" - something incredibly sweet in both their contexts. It's a role that each of them is used to (giving a sense of normalcy), a sign of trust from Winona to Maxwell (despite not being there for it, she probably knows the most about what he's done), and likely helps a lot with both of them coping with what's happened to Charlie. Wendy and Maxwell's relationship goes beyond just the familial connection, too. You mentioned she tends to be quite polite when greeting the survivors, but she has a unique quote for Maxwell in particular: "How are you coping, Maxwell?" In return, while most of Maxwell's greetings are simply just, well, greetings, for Wendy, he adds on: "Greetings, Miss Wendy. How are you?" Both of these lines imply that the two watch out for each other's mental health, likely able to see a reflection of their own deep grief and guilt in one another. Not just kin by blood, but also by circumstance. Sometimes you have to read a little into it, but Maxwell's dynamics with the other survivors will always interest me. You mentioned a lot of his stuff with Wickerbottom, but what I find most interesting is that she seems to see him as someone she's taking care of (calling him a sweet boy, tracking his chores) but he sees her more as a peer. His line for the leaky teacup is musing about having tea with her. Also, if you ever make survivor-centric videos, something important about Winona: She probably knows WAY MORE than she lets on. She was looking for her sister for 13 (I believe, 1906-1919?) years, and she had clues toward a lot of different survivors on her conspiracy board. Going into headcanon territory, I strongly believe that she's not only met Jack Carter, but might have kept him updated on what she's doing, and is the only reason he might still be alive. I mean, we don't know if Wendy's mother still lives, but consider what he's gone through. His twin brother vanished. One of his daughters died, sending the other into a deep grief. Then she disappears too. A situation like that could easily drive a man to the edge.
seeing/ hearing about these interactions really makes me hope that Klei add the characters from DS, that haven't been introduced to DST, in some form even if its just an NPC form like Wagstaff. Because i can imagine there would be some very fun interactions that happen, like Wheeler having some fun stories of her adventures for the kids, would be interesting to see how Wilba and Wurt would interact (i can imagine a scuffle at first, then maybe friends later like that one short of the trapped merm and pig).
I love when characters have banter like this. Cobalt Core and Vermintide, too just becomes so much better; watching the character bicker, chat, or reference each other.
I think i speak for everyone that a video for each character would be really nice. I speak for myself when saying that the first one should be wilson as my absolute favorite.
I would LOVE to see a part 2. The best part of the animated shorts to me, even the ones that strictly advertised the latest update, was the interactions between the different survivors and just watching them kind of come together as a semi-dysfunctional community/family that would be ready to immediately throw at hands at the first sign of danger for one another
I could listen to someone dissect all the little survivor relationships and interactions for hoursss if we're being so honest. When I first got into the Don't Starve fandom scene in around 2020 there was nothing funnier to me than watching Winona and Maxwell argue and absolutely HATEE eachother. Nowadays since that one short where they both see Charlie and almost died if it weren't for Wilson yelling for them, I think that they're on a lot better terms. It's still fun to get some angst out of them though. :)
Omg great video! Finally someone who is as obsessed than me with characters being friends!!! As a Willow enjoyer myself, one of my favourite interaction (which isn’t really directed to anyone) is when you inspect kelp and she ask other survivors to dare her to eat it, like, girl you can eat kelp if you want lmao
Let me just say as someone who was hyper fixated on don't starve as a kid, a video like this absolutely would have fed into that even more since I really cared about stuff like this. Thankfully, I've been getting back into don't starve lately, so I'm able to enjoy this video (almost) to the extent I would have back then. Seeing the relationships between the different characters hinted at was always intriguing, so having a more concrete recollection of that like this makes me really happy.
About Webber. From a scene from animated short and a few dialogues that they have, we know that Webber and wormwood are friends and like to play from time to time. I love that sentient "monster" Plant find friend in scary and rejected monster child. Love the duo and personality that they have
If you inspect the rubber bung (or whatever it's called) as Woodie then he says something about reminding Willow to take a real bath. So now we know that Willow cannonically stanks cause she probably only bathes in fire.
A few more quotes relating to Wendy. Note, I don't remember them exactly In the lunar grotto? (The lunar mushrooms that lead to the archives underground), examining a mole bat's nest as Wendy gives quote akin to "Abigail keeps daring me to touch it.." so I guess daring someone to do something disgusting is just the twins' sense of humor Also Wolfgang might be scared of Wendy not Abigail, as Walter's examination of Abigail is something akin to "Your sister kind of creeps me out, but you're alright" Also to add more to the whole piggy back thing with Woodie. One of the detransform lines from Lucy is "I think that creepy girl is mad at you.." if I remember correctly Also, some miscellaneous quotes that I like, might also be wrong, Wickerbottom worries about WX if you examine frazzled wires if i remember correctly, and Maxwell says that "Lucy does fine work" if you examine the wooden walking stick and Winona says "Woodie and Lucy really stick together.". Also Maxwell's quote for the air unfreshner is funny
Honestly I always imagined that Warly and Wanda got along well, it probably has to do with a theory I’ve had since she was added. Just a little hint you might wanna watch both shorts back to back
I love WX and Wormwood cause they're a pair which makes so sense at all and then you write them interacting and you're sitting there with your head in your hands cause they have weird chemistry. They work for some reason even beyond the moon stuff. Like Wx trying to be mean and stoic paired with Wormwood's almost aggressive friendliness is fantastic. Also Wx strikes me as the type of person who absolutely adores being able to flex their knowlege on something and Wormwood's naiveite and habit of giving compliments make their dynamic so weirdly wholesome. Also Wormwood really wants to have bees around mechanicaly and WX likes bees. It's like clorine and sodium combining to make table salt I have no idea why it works.
I'd argue that Wilson's "Decent day to you, Maxwell!" is more passive-aggressive than anything. "Yeah, ok, we're stuck here together, but I'm still not going to wish you a _good_ day".
Wilson and Wes, Wes says nothing about the rug (Ba Dum Tss) But seriously the revive line is cute "How do you say 'I'll conduct a revival device' in mime?" and of course he remembers the fake dentures are Wes' favourite prop "They've quickly become Wes' favorite prop." and Wes dreams about saving Wilson specifically in "A 1st For Everything"
Back at it again with a question only 3 people in the entire work asked but somehow making it interesting enough for me to watch a video about it. Now that’s high-quality content
I remember in the intro for WX, there’s a brief shot of Wendy and Wurt. I think these two would totally be friends. Wurt even asks how Abigail is doing. If these two ever got out of the Constant I could see them having a sleepover.
Warly checking a veggie burger, “Perhaps this is how we'll convince Mademoiselle Wigfrid to eat her vegetables?” Its lovely they taking care of each other.
Not really a character interaction but ehen Woodie examines a cookbook he asks Lucy to read off the recepies while he cooks 🥺 Also him and Maxwell both hate birds lol "Ow, be gentle Charlie" is also really funny Also a thing to note, Maxwell is very friendly with the Hamlet pig people, even going as far as to call one of them a "stunning beauty"
If you witness a Willow burn things as Wendy, she'll say "Let's watch the world burn together." and ever since I just follow Willow players to scare them.
For me its funny because when I play with mine best friend DST I always go with Webber and she with Wendy. Also when you examine "Bloomfin Tuna" you can get those funny lines. Webber: “Wendy got mad when we said it reminded us of her...” Wendy: “Hmph. I see no resemblance.”
the beardhair rug is actually quite funny in context with the carpeted flooring, which maxwell takes a lot of pride in, "that's a quality, high pile carpet sample!" which the other survivors all seem to like as well, except for willow who describes the ground as "boring" and he gets upset with the Lush Carpet from the stages, asking, "what was wrong with my carpet?"
6:33 YES I wanna see those videos so much, I can't recall any youtubers doing videos on specific characters quotes personality, backstory and such in the sea of guides and boss rushes
Half my friends ship Wilson and Wes, and with Wilson probably being the one that saved Wes I get it. If you want a surprisingly passionate writing community I'd recommend them, even if I don't read it myself.
I have no idea when I personally started shipping Willow and Wigfrid but I am so happy that their relationship might be deeper than friendship canonically... I adore Wigfrid's quote for Willow's lighter and Willow's quote for Troyan horse toy. And also acording to some of Wigfrid's quotes, she herself finds burning stuff funny
UGH! I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS! There are WAY more interactions than I previously thought, and almost all of them are either hilarious or "smile ear to ear adorable."
the survivors interactions is literally my favourite thing so it’s so amazing to see a video on it !! the whole video has such good humour about it and i straight up forgot about some of these lines despite trawling through dialogue pages on the wiki being my favourite thing to do !!
My favorite of these interactions is the quote for Maxwell's Krampus Skin and hiw "Wortox is not impressed". It was the first of these lines I came across. Also just love these interactions such a subtle and natural way to show off their characters.

Either way great vid!
@@usernametaken017 i definitely noticed that Wilson hasn’t really forgiven Maxwell, not yet. His normal greeting is “good day” so the fact he says “decent” really makes it seem more like there’s hard feelings. Maxwell mentions Wilson and Charlie a LOT, but he also mentions Wickerbottom a few times. It seems the two are pretty civil with one another; he even muses that he could share a cup of tea with her when examining a broken teacup. Some of my favorite interactions are probably Wolfgang being terrified of Walter's campfire stories, Webber saying the bloonfin tuna looks like wendy (to which she takes great offense) and Wanda commending Walter on his time manipulation in her quote for slowdown rounds.
oh my I love Webber's and Wendy's quotes for bloomfin tuna
When Maxwell examines a
The leaky tea cup trinket he meantions having mandrake tea with Wickerbottom.
"Historians will be baffled by this discovery" 😂😂 And they were roommates. 4:28
Oh mah god they were roommates
I came to the comments just to see if someone highlighted this phrase hahahahaha
Chef's kiss
Was looking for this lmao
my favourite interactions are with the broken pearl
those are some sad interactions
like withfrid: "the battle is won but at what cost?"
or wormwood who just says: "broken"
As annoying as pearls tasks can be, I do them on EVERY save. I love my crabby old lady friend. When she goes granny mode after she gives you the pearl and asks if you are okay if your health or sanity are low. She asks if you have been eating enough if you're hungry. I love her 😭
Maxwell's is the most heartbreaking. "Oh. I thought I had run out of people to disappoint."
I like to see Wes as the designated babysitter for the kids (and Wormwood who behaves like a pet) but always ends up in a situation where the kids get into trouble but somehow none of them get hurt (Wes does, A LOT)
That sounds like Wes
That would be a great short lol.
i have no basis for this but i like to see wes as someone who helps warly in the kitchen but hes only allowed to do tasks he cant fuck up like peeling the potatos
I feel that usually he always try to help people, even if people are like fooling him. Idk how explain
Wes has already proven he’s one of the kindest hearts among the survivors time and time again so I really see that happening.
You can't forget about the fact that Wigfrid and Wolfgang have almost the same exact pose in their portraits as well!
I love that the same day you post this, we get the new animation "Hide & Seek," showing Winona and Wendy grow a stronger friendship by delving into the caves to save Abigail.
i hope you didnt forget the line where warly says maxwell has a fat ass
WHERE?????
@padlyo7150 when does he say that?
Please tell me when he mentions this
Are you referring to the quote Warly has when he's examining the nightmare throne?
@@TheBleedingAlien oh my god, I looked it up.
Wilson is my main, and bro, his quotes are by far my favorite because of the general manner he speaks in.
I like that he gives full names to Chester and Hutch
Some quotes I like, which I haven't seen being commented yet:
Wendy's quote for rose-colored glasses: I hope you find her
So either Wendy immediately sensed what they were for or Winona went out of her way to tell her,. Either way it's really sweet, especially after the animation video.
Wormwood's quotes for the W.A.R.B.I.S head gear and armor:
"Just like robot friend!" "Be strong, like robot friend!"
Suggesting their friendship is canon, (at least one-sided )
WX-78's quote for Sack of Potatoes: ILLOGICAL. CARRY ME INSTEAD
Which is a pretty cute concept.
Willow's quote for a Cannon which ran out of ammo: "Darn it, I'm out...Hey Wes, you always wanted to try being a human cannonball, right?"
Maxwell's quote for Frazzled Wires: I might hide those in WX's bedroll if I get bored.
Wilson and Wigfrid referring to the lying robot as Hal, since that's the name WX-78 told them it had.
Wendy's quote for Lucy "Hello..."Lucy"... I'd like you to meet my sister" and "Abigail likes you, Woodie...But she likes Lucy more"
suggests that either Abigail, or both of them favor her over Woodie. (L)
Woodie and Wilson complaining Wigfrid tries to spar with them with the Back scratcher.
"Wigfrid keeps using it to 'spar' with me and Lucy. We're afraid."
"Wigfrid keeps jumping out and hitting me with it?!"
Maxwell's quote for frayed yarn
"The monster child gets tangled in this frequently
suggesting Webber plays with it like a cat.
Maxwell actively bullying Wilson with the quotes such as:
Whirlportal "Is it safe? We should send Wilson in first."
Polar Bearger Bin- "Portable indeed. Wilson can carry it."
Stuffed Night Cap- "Wilson should try it."
Stupefying Lure- "I think Higgsbury already got too close to one of these."
Wilson's only responses so far that he's crabby and short.
Wormwood actively wanting beaver Woodie dead:
Werebeaver- "Friend Eater! Keep away!"
t Werebeaver (ghost) "Can't eat friends anymore"
Weremoose- "Like Branch Head better than Friend Eater"
Unrelated to a specific character dynamic but half the characters wanting to raise hell over getting raisings on hallowed nights and the other half just chilling and liking the raisins despite everything.
Maybe I'll add some later. :V
surprisingly so it appears that wendy and maxwell DID acknowledge each other's existence beyond the "i sense the kinship" part XD
wendy has some lines in her script files that suggest a conversation they might have had, and the first one speaks for itself :) though we don't know what maxwell answers in return as his line is entirely something else and unrelated XD
i do wish we got something more than a hidden impossible-line to get
SHADOWDIGGER = "Was he your brother?",
SHADOWDANCER = "Father used to do silly dances like that.",
OO Thank you for bringing that to my attention!!
It would be stupid if she didn't recognized twin
I loved it when me (Wendy) and my friend (Webber) went into the sea one spring and caught the seasonal fish...
I haven't heard of that because I don't have wortox but that's adorable!!!
Wortox, the guy who talks a ton for comedic effect, and Wes, the mime who can't talk for comedic effect. A match made in heaven
(also i have a friend ive known for maybe five years and Wendy's sacrifice line resonates with me. true friendship is threatening to sacrifice your friends to the incomprehensible moon gods!)
jesse you've set me on fire 17 times
Hiiii jessie
...speak of the devils
@@jalatovibes2128 you can't escape your sins.
I would absolutely love a run down on each character's relationship with all the survivors!! ✨
Yes! Start with Wilson and work your way through the cast in chronological order!
one i really like is a woodie quote about the rubber bung saying how he needs to remind willow to take a bath, which means that willow is just running around the constant not having washed herslef for god knows how long and probably smells worse than wurt 😭😭😭
this is more of a headcannon but i love the idea of woodie and waler running a sort of wilderness bootcamp together and at first it was for the other kids but then some of the adults sat in for the lessons maybe some of them even gave lessons like wicker would talk about the flora and fauna warly would talk about different foods and ways to cook stuff maxwell could share insight on the inner workings of the constant (though he only did it once since it bored most everyone) wigfrid and wolfgang would teach people how to fight!! i just think there could be so many interacticions with this idea yknow?
I don't remember where I saw it but I like the headcannon that she "baths" in the lava pools because of her fire Immunity
As an orphan, who probably raised herself on the streets her whole life... It makes sense! 🤣
Willow says that water is useless when she examinates this item. Anyway, what causes bad smell is mostly the bacteria, not the dirt, so I belive she would takes a bath of fire instead, which could stop the bad smell but still leave her with a smell of coal
You should have mentioned Wendy’s and Webber’s quote about that spring bloom fish, it’s hilarious
What do they both say?
@@Z7StudiosMecha"Wendy got mad at us when we said it reminded us of her."
"Hmpf. I see no resemblance"
Because i can imagine there would be some very fun interactions that happen, like Wheeler having some fun stories of her adventures for the kids, would be interesting to see how Wilba and Wurt would interact (i can imagine a scuffle at first, then maybe friends later like that one short of the trapped merm and pig).
lucky for you, wagstaff exists in the form of the lunar storm event after defeating celestial champion
I love these kinds of videos. Klei did an amazing job writing every single one of the survivors, they're all so unique and fun.
my headcanon on walter is that he's the daring one that always rushes into danger (and wendy and webber always have to stop him, while wurt watches)
you forgot wormwood calls wurt the best helper and yknow, its wurt and wormwood two of the critter gang
Wortox is irritated by Wormwood's jokes(examination of Wormwood's ghost, pretty black)
Willow doesnt wash
Wes pretends to ride unicycle whenever Willow uses beaten beater
I love when characters have banter like this. Cobalt Core and Vermintide, too just becomes so much better; watching the character bicker, chat, or reference each other.
Wilson, my beloved.
I think i speak for everyone that a video for each character would be really nice.
I speak for myself when saying that the first one should be wilson as my absolute favorite.
Wanda and Wolfgang were the best team especially with friends
yeah since the granny carries the rest of the team (not literally, she can't lol).
@@lks19knowledge carries people ( literally it can )
@@lks19 oh man you Don’t know the power of killing every thing before the day 90
unfortunately you can't kill everything before day 90 (I hate you crystal deerclops)
I like to think Wigfrid and Wes having somethings in common with both of them being dedicated to their performances.
12:38 if bad jokes were equal to being a madman, I would've been in an insane asylum for a long time
this is the lore that matters
You forgot another Webber's interactions where he exam Bloomfin Tuna and says "Wendy get mad at us when we say this looks like her"
I love that, thank you :) I missed a bunch, maybe i'll do a 3rd episode at some point :)
Being a webber main just continues to get more delightful. I'm so glad to know he has so many friends!!
8:55 I think he acknowledges it to an extent when you use a heart on Abigail, he says "I had to try."
I would LOVE to see a part 2. The best part of the animated shorts to me, even the ones that strictly advertised the latest update, was the interactions between the different survivors and just watching them kind of come together as a semi-dysfunctional community/family that would be ready to immediately throw at hands at the first sign of danger for one another
Oh man, this is like, the perfect Don’t Starve channel. Lore, gameplay, you have it all! Definitely deserves more subs🎉
I think the sacrifice on the moon stone is just she wants Webber to get her one of the spiders for the sacrifice.
I was asking this exact question the other day. My favorite Wendy quotes always include the ones that allude to her friendship with Webber
Please make more of these, i love seeing how they all interact with/feel about each other!
I support the idea of making videos about specific characters, id love to see what else you have to say about willow
How could you not mention Webber and Wendy Bloomfin tuna quote
Let me just say as someone who was hyper fixated on don't starve as a kid, a video like this absolutely would have fed into that even more since I really cared about stuff like this.
Thankfully, I've been getting back into don't starve lately, so I'm able to enjoy this video (almost) to the extent I would have back then.
Seeing the relationships between the different characters hinted at was always intriguing, so having a more concrete recollection of that like this makes me really happy.
Honistly i wold love a part 2 of this
I'll for sure have to consider it :)
She constantly smells like smoke and ash
A few more quotes relating to Wendy. Note, I don't remember them exactly
In the lunar grotto? (The lunar mushrooms that lead to the archives underground), examining a mole bat's nest as Wendy gives quote akin to "Abigail keeps daring me to touch it.." so I guess daring someone to do something disgusting is just the twins' sense of humor
Also Wolfgang might be scared of Wendy not Abigail, as Walter's examination of Abigail is something akin to "Your sister kind of creeps me out, but you're alright"
Also to add more to the whole piggy back thing with Woodie. One of the detransform lines from Lucy is "I think that creepy girl is mad at you.." if I remember correctly
Also, some miscellaneous quotes that I like, might also be wrong, Wickerbottom worries about WX if you examine frazzled wires if i remember correctly, and Maxwell says that "Lucy does fine work" if you examine the wooden walking stick and Winona says "Woodie and Lucy really stick together.". Also Maxwell's quote for the air unfreshner is funny
Klei just released an animation about wiona and wendy and ugh
Yes i remember wereness meter log consuption.
Those were the good days.
Ahh... back in the day...
"why the long butt. Haha wolfgang is funny man."
Even myself is impressed by wilson feat. WHAT carpet made out of beard . whoa . thats crazy
wanda has a really sweet quote for a maxwell who revives her ingame: "There is goodness in you yet, %s. Oh, don't look so embarrassed!"
Wilson and Wes, Wes says nothing about the rug (Ba Dum Tss)
But seriously the revive line is cute "How do you say 'I'll conduct a revival device' in mime?" and of course he remembers the fake dentures are Wes' favourite prop "They've quickly become Wes' favorite prop." and Wes dreams about saving Wilson specifically in "A 1st For Everything"
I'll have to give Wes plenty of attention in the second part :) Thank you!
It is now my head cannon that Wigfrid and Willow are suuuuuper gay for each other
Slay Queens
Slay
4:49 She even has a song for her
same
Even though I haven't seen the video....tf are you talking about?
Edit:After watching the video...I understand now-
Personally for me for maximum pain, I see it as one-sided. 😈
don't starve community finally peaked
Warly checking a veggie burger, “Perhaps this is how we'll convince Mademoiselle Wigfrid to eat her vegetables?”
Its lovely they taking care of each other.
Not really a character interaction but ehen Woodie examines a cookbook he asks Lucy to read off the recepies while he cooks 🥺
Also him and Maxwell both hate birds lol
"Ow, be gentle Charlie" is also really funny
Also a thing to note, Maxwell is very friendly with the Hamlet pig people, even going as far as to call one of them a "stunning beauty"
Writing all this down RN THANK YOU SO MUCH :D
If you witness a Willow burn things as Wendy, she'll say "Let's watch the world burn together." and ever since I just follow Willow players to scare them.
For me its funny because when I play with mine best friend DST I always go with Webber and she with Wendy.
Also when you examine "Bloomfin Tuna" you can get those funny lines.
Webber: “Wendy got mad when we said it reminded us of her...”
Wendy: “Hmph. I see no resemblance.”
We, as a society, don’t get enough videos like this. Keep up the good work!
videos dedicated to certain survivors would be awesome
Thank you for putting out such high quality and creative videos! Absolutely love your DST content.
the beardhair rug is actually quite funny in context with the carpeted flooring, which maxwell takes a lot of pride in, "that's a quality, high pile carpet sample!" which the other survivors all seem to like as well, except for willow who describes the ground as "boring" and he gets upset with the Lush Carpet from the stages, asking, "what was wrong with my carpet?"
6:33 YES I wanna see those videos so much, I can't recall any youtubers doing videos on specific characters quotes personality, backstory and such in the sea of guides and boss rushes
Plase make a part 2!! These are my favorite thing in dst , the interactions!?
Half my friends ship Wilson and Wes, and with Wilson probably being the one that saved Wes I get it. If you want a surprisingly passionate writing community I'd recommend them, even if I don't read it myself.
It's funny that this came out before the latest short, Winona would have made the wendy list.
Webber is my fav im happy he has voice lines for others
I have no idea when I personally started shipping Willow and Wigfrid but I am so happy that their relationship might be deeper than friendship canonically... I adore Wigfrid's quote for Willow's lighter and Willow's quote for Troyan horse toy. And also acording to some of Wigfrid's quotes, she herself finds burning stuff funny
Please do make a part 2. I hope we get an animated series one day.
I think Weber and Wolfgang are friends and although walking as a bad afraid of him, he knows that it’s not Webber’s fault
UGH! I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS!
There are WAY more interactions than I previously thought, and almost all of them are either hilarious or "smile ear to ear adorable."
Just wanted to mention what Wendy says when examinies fake vampire fangs: "Now i and Webber can match!"
the survivors interactions is literally my favourite thing so it’s so amazing to see a video on it !! the whole video has such good humour about it and i straight up forgot about some of these lines despite trawling through dialogue pages on the wiki being my favourite thing to do !!
I nearly choked on my own saliva hearing “historians will be baffled”
My favorite of these interactions is the quote for Maxwell's Krampus Skin and hiw "Wortox is not impressed". It was the first of these lines I came across.
Also just love these interactions such a subtle and natural way to show off their characters.
Just a day prior I looked at every Dst character quotes to document and speculate on they potential relationships they have with the other survivors. It took hours and some speculation, but I finished. Now, this comes out.
I don’t know if I should feel happy that someone is posting content like this or angry my work was literally for nothing. Either way great vid!
I’m sorry to hear that! that does sound really frustrating.
but, you know what they say, “great minds think alike”!
What conclusions did you come up with? Im interested
like were there any differences in interpretation or
@@usernametaken017 to add on to what you’re saying, I’m actually interested too!
I did it for almost all the characters (I didn’t do Wortox because frankly I just don’t like him/ the characters hardly mention him) so if you have questions abt specific characters I can give better answers.
