Thank you for sharing this, super helpful and informative. I have a 2019 rx and it will need spark plug replacement very soon. I heard it would be quite difficult and time consuming to replace the other three in the back.
Glad it helped! Perfect timing you asked, as I’m currently editing/finalizing the follow up video on the rear spark plugs and it will be out very soon. The job is more involved but still straightforward. It’s much more difficult to videotape though given the tight space, but I was trying my best to show a closeup view of every step. So stay tuned!
@@walterdsh5433 No problem! The follow-up video on rear plugs is out now. Feel free to check it out and let us know how it goes with yours and/or if you have questions.
Hi Professor, really enjoy all your videos. Question - did you buy OEM spark plugs from a dealer -- do you need to check the gap on these or should you assume they are set correctly?
Glad you liked them! Yes, I use OEM parts for key components such as spark plugs. In my area (in PA), we have dealerships with ebay/online stores and they offer competitive prices. You should check if you have such dealership in your area--their online pricing is usually better and you can pick up an online order. If not, at least ask multiple dealerships and compare prices. All of these came pre-gapped and greased so there is no need to gap or grease/anti-seize them (again). The pre-gapped have protective sleeves (tubes) and you can trust them from the dealership.
Part 2 video on the REAR spark plug replacement is now available at:

I do have that little gapping tool but no longer feel the need to use it. :)
