    Super late but how would I get each participant to have their parts kind of connect? Does one person draw at a time and when they finish the next person begins based on where the first left off of? That would take a long time tho :p

    • @Theatricals
      @Theatricals  2 роки тому +3

      It's kind of hard to decide on this. One way is to make a basic storyboard where each character is (like, character A is standing to the left of character B) but otherwise it kind of depends. Allowing greenscreen may help, but tbh I've never found a foolproof way to have parts blend/connect. :/

    • @sunsetbun2662
      @sunsetbun2662 Рік тому +1

      I'm making the characters go off the screen/not in view before the change but it can be very difficult if that isn't an option

    Thank you for this !! I'm currently working on a script for a scripted, story-driven, mixed PMV and AMV map (fully animated or limited animated preferred but PMV allowed) with just over 30 parts, 5 or so seconds each (and a 3 parts per participant maximum), and I was thinking 1 to 2 months as the deadline, would that be ok to do? I hosted a scriptless map first to see if I could manage and if it would get traction (it succeeded and it's being posted soon) and it had a similar amount of parts, but would the map being scripted and story-driven alter those needs?

    I know like this is really late but what should be like, a preferred length for one part and what is too much? I'm working on a MAP Call atm and it's an AMV type of MAP but I'm worried if like, 20 seconds each of parts were too much. (it's just the audio cuts would be a bit awkward with the cinematic audio I chose)

    • @Theatricals
      @Theatricals  Рік тому +1

      20 seconds is definitely pushing it, especially with AMV. I usually say around 14 seconds is the maximum, but that’s me.

    • @Theatricals
      @Theatricals  Рік тому +1

      I honestly haven’t figured out a good strategy for this yet. What I’m doing right now is that I have a google sheet with names and last seen WIP, and every couple days I go in and update. If I haven’t seen a WIP in a week (this might be different for other hosts) I contact them. If I receive no response in two days the participant is kicked.

      It is very unlikely that you will get many people to join your MAP if you don't have much in terms of animation on your channel. Doing an OC MAP (especially if it's your own OC's) won't get nearly much attention either.
      Unfortunately I really don't have the time or energy to walk everyone through the exact process of how to make a call or edit the parts together.
