Just to note
This video has been made as a guide to help you maintain/fix/repair a specific part of a Pure Electric e-Scooter. Unfortunately, we can't be on hand to make sure all the right steps are taken, with the correct tools and used on the correct parts.
As such take care when following this guide that you do not take any steps, outside of those highlighted in the video, that void the warranty or damage your e-scooter.
We also want to highlight that you should take all steps to set up a safe working environment, and should only be comfortable carrying out the steps in the video, if you are sure that the e-scooter is securely positioned and not at any risk of toppling over, potentially hurting anyone or damaging your e-scooter. If easier, bring someone else along to help you with this task. And as a final note - Take care not to damage any electrical cabling (which is a safety hazard) - we wish all our riders to be safe both during and after any maintenance.
We want all our riders to feel confident in carrying out their own maintenance, in a safe and controlled way, but as with anything, if you're unsure on any steps, contact our support team via your local Pure Electric website (Pureelectric.com) who will be on hand to help.

What's the point of this video if you're not going to sell the tool to fix it? Seems to me the only tool is your marketing department? 😊
Hi Mark, we actually use this video in training purposes for our international network of repair partners who do carry the tool. But we understand that you may want to do this repair yourself in certain instances and you can always contact the Pure team to discuss this, if you're too far from a local repair partner.
Just undo the 2 pinch bolts on the side the stem, fold the stem down then you will see the round nut with 4 notches (Top Cap). Using a flat bade screw driver and a hammer hit this nut in a clockwise direction, this will tighten the stem as much as possible. Then just check the stem is still aligned with the front wheel and tighten the 2 pinch bolts you undid at the start. You don't need the tool.
Just bought the Pure Advance+ and the charger is making a high pitch sqeeking noise. This can't be normal! Reported by email, no support telephone number and no response to emails. Not particularly impressed so far.
I would like to purchase the top cap tool, however it's not on your website, will you be adding it to your website? Or if not, is there another place I can get it from. Thanks
Hi @Matty, this repair is predominantly carried out by our approved third party repair networks: www.pureelectric.com/pages/repair-centres
However if you live in an area thats not currently covered by a local repair network and you require Pure's help, you can drop our rider services team an email here: support.pureelectric.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new

@Pure Electric Pretty messed up and anti consumer that you design a proprietary tool to do something as basic as tightening the handlebars and not make it available to the wider public... Good job...
I returned mine. It's not a safe riding position in my opinion. Sadly I even had issues with the returns process although it has been sorted now. For me, Pure is style over substance. Antifix, antiself repair and overrated. I went with the NIU KQi3 Pro which is an impressive piece of kit. And can be easily speed amended for "off-road" speed increase :--)
What is the allen tool called and where to buy it
Hey there - if you're in need of the Top Cap Tool, its a semi specialist part (this video often used by our Authorised Repair Agents).
If you're in need of the tool, you can contact the rider support team to discuss the challenge you're having as we may be able to help you directly. You can reach us here - support.pureelectric.com/hc/en-gb
