In case any of you thought I cared about what you put on your hair... I DONT. It’s yours. You can shit on your head and call it a deep conditioning treatment for all I care. Some of y’all really be pressed ab any AND everything. Y’all ain’t exhausted of being mad about what other ppl do with their lives yet? Just take the tips and dip 🙄
Facts frennnnn 💕💕💕💕💕
Tell em sis, like they didn’t click on the video. It’s advice but do what you want, with your hair, she ain’t in ur house with you
Love your energy. And your posts are informative
Girl wtf happened? Who pissed you off cuz they don’t want that smoke 💨 Ian never heard you pop off like this so they really pissed you off
why are people so rude??? the tips and tricks you provide are a suggestion for naturally curly hair. you recommend protein treatments to bring curls back to life if it's needed... if you, as an individual don't want to do a protein treatment, then don't do it. I don't understand why people feel the need to be negative or throw shade with the comments or feed back. do what's best for your hair and do your own research and if you don't like the suggestion or recommendation then keep it moving sis. thanks for posting :-)
I’ve never thought about putting in a spray bottle!! That was so smart👏🏾👏🏾
Me either! I tried it for the first time and it works wonders!! I also used gloves.. sooo much easier!!
It gets hard in the nozzle and stops spraying. You’d have to use a different one every time or rinse with very hot water
I have all four parts of your moisturizing system saved on one one my playlist. I'll be adding this right-along with it 😀😀
First time adding the leave in conditioner in the shower, the best thing I've ever done to my hair, thank you so much Kim😍
fren thank you so much! This definitely helped because i was so confused. you really be helping a sis out
Honestly I’ve been LOVING your content! Your personality just tops it off. I have low porosity hair too. I don’t tend to do wash and gos much but I did this yesterday after watching your video (did the hair mask, wash, deep conditioned etc) and my curls were flourishing!!!. Putting leave-in in the showing always does work best for me! But girl thanks for your tips/methods!!! So helpful👌🏾🤍
Omg I’ve been WAITING for that question to be answered for the longest 😭 THANK YOU so much fraannn ✨🙌🏽🙌🏽 Your videos just been on point on point!! Keep’em comin fraann 🥰💖
Thank you sooo much frennn you’ve taught me so much about my hair.
I’ve been using this product since I was a kid! Love it
Your hair looks stunning. Thanks for sharing this.
I googled about a protein treatment yesterday! This is perfect. Thank you 😊
Your curls are popping. Great informative video.
This is the reminder I needed! thank you
This video came right on time. I’ve been looking for a protein treatment to try
I love how funny and honest you are😂👏🏽
thank you sm for this video!! sending positivity 💗
I used Aphogee once and I liked it. I’m low porosity but I switch out moisturizing deep conditioners and protein deep conditioners every week and my hair seems to be thriving. I like the ORS Hair Mayonnaise as a protein treatment as well as the As I Am Hydration Elation
Thank you fraaan! Imma definitely try this
I love your whole vibe and ur hair is beautiful, def goals 😘❤
Here for it today and was just wondering about protein the other day! 🙌🏾
THIS VIDEO CAME JUST IN TIME! ❤️❤️
The front of my hair is definitely looser and protein treatments help a bit. It’s kind of a wavy curl while the rest is tighter
protein treatments helped your curls in the front tighten? I have that same problem with my curls i the front, not as tight!
Me too.
My issue is opposite my kitchen has looser curls and they grow and retent length rather I use protein or not. My front and crown refuses to retent length. 2 maybe 3 porosity in my hair. Gonna start doing more protein treatments but will focus more on my front and crown. Maybe put less protein in the back 🤷🏾♀️
If I see that my hair is breaking off, like short pieces, I know it’s time...Aphoghee is seriously effective 🌹
Yessss. I started seeing that recently whilst doing a lot of wash and gos
I got my protein treatment today. Can’t wait to apply
Word I’m mad asl cause I cut my hair so many times instead of just doing a protein treatments smh. Well ima grow it back it’s already a there so it’s all good
I use protein just once a month and I love that two step treatment! Makes my curl pop
Shes funny. you gotta make light of the situation. She's such a joy to watch
Hey frennn! Thank you for all of your informative videos! You’re my favorite natural hair influencer! Much love 💜
You’re welcome and Thank you!!!!
I was listening to Felicia Leatherwood and she stated that in addition to moisture overload, you may need a protein treatment if you are experiencing a lot of shedding. Also, I tried a new protein treatment by creme of nature, part of their aloe and black castor oil line. The bomb!! It works like aphogee, but with a much better smell.
I’m not first but I’m early today. I saw this at the beauty supply store but hesitated to pick it up. Now I feel more confident to go buy it
When I tell u I started following your regimens and advise my hair has started growing and curls start popping! Thank you thank you!!!!!! And remember #putyourbonneton!
I’m definitely going to have to try this on my channel!!
Listen folks. Shes speaking facts. My dumb ass fell off. Now I'm back to a TWA.😥😥 Used bad products. It really was the products though. Protein treatments are a must.
Yeah your curls look good 👏🏽👏🏽 I actually have never tried that treatment yet 🙈 but I usually tell people if your hair feels mushy get you some protein. I can share this video with my peoples now 🤗
Your hair is super defined!
Yesterday , the title of this video was all in my search bar cause I was really confused 😂😂 Talk about PERFECT timing 😭 thank youuuu 😘😘
Thank you I'm definitely gonna try this
Thank you for another great video ❤️
You ain't have to tell me but once frennn I balanced my routine after you got protein overload. I had to listen at that point since I had to cut 4 inches off my hair. It's growing back so much fuller and stronger than before I balanced my routine. I need all my potential strands since I'm low/medium density.
Fren I apply a protein treatment about once every other month and on the month where I'm not doing a protein treatment I incorporate a protein deep conditioner at least once a month.
You're hair has grownnnn 😍
Was just looking for this🤗
YESSSS! This video is needed. not many hair bloggers on here emphasize the importance of having a balanced regimen of alternating protein and balance! I also see so many naturals lost on why they got either protein overload or hydra fatigue and need to recover their hair. not realized they were doing too much of one or the other.
You’re absolutely right
@@KimberlyCherrell yep, since i went natural i always used a balance masks bi weekly.
People ask me this all the time so I'm very curious to know what you got to say lol I got that scurl in my hair now do teach us 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I wish I could just come to Georgia and let you get in my head so I can know exactly what to do 😩 I’m only 2 hours away! 🤣
I need to start adding protein treatments to my hair regimen tbh ✨
This is funny subscribed as soon as you spoke
Love your energy & that song 😁
Needed help on this thanks for the video 💜
Yo! Wth... I literally was just thinking I need a protein treatment. Love you girl ♥💯
I do a protein treatment once a month using ORS hair mayo I will definitely invest in ApHogee 2 step protein treatment 💕
Yaaas Fren the front of my hair is so loose and the longer my hair gets it gets looser(weird) but the protein treatment does make it define & have bounce. And Fren ima need some of that bouncing off the wall energy you got this morning please send it right over. Love ya Fren💜💜💜
I try my best to keep a good balance by using deep conditioners that have some protein in them. I make sure to do one before/after a protective style, sometimes both.
About to do one next week!
Hey fren... Great tips as usual
I see a lot of comments about waiting til hair is broken. Please don’t wait. I use deep conditioning products with protein to keep my colored, high porosity hair strong. I also use the aphogee green tea reconstruction with my leavin as regularly as I can. That two step though, it’s the business. I don’t like the conditioner it comes with though lol.
I use the ApHogee Intensive Two Minute Keratin Reconstructor, and it scared me so much after I put it in, because my hair felt so matted I couldn’t even detangle it. I ended up using the Aussie moist afterward to detangle and it felt fine. I think I’ll use it again just because I like that it’s less strong as the two step that you’re using, but it still gets the job done for protein.
this is so crazy that u made this vid cuz i currently have moisture overload 😭🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🙏🏽
Just what a sis needed to see!! You rock boo!! And you ain’t never lied the front of my hair is just rude .... got two different textures in one strand 😒 lol 😂 but Enjoy ya weekend and holiday love 🥰😘
Hey frennnnnnn! I'm ready for the tips!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that experienced burning when using the treatment
I used Aphogee as a kid when I had a perm but when I went natural 7 years ago I forgot all about protein 🤦🏾♀️ I was lazily doing my hair up until 2018 smh. Watching your first video on protein is the reason I started doing them again and my hair is thankful. I do a protein treatment every 6 weeks now
Did you see any retainment from doing protein treatment? Do you do oil treatments as well ?
I need to do a protein treatment I actually did it on my hair when I was not natural so I know my curls can benefit from it and I would love to see you film the protective style!!
Coming on Monday! 😉
Kimberly Cherrell Yayy! 🤗🤗
I used your plastic cap trick when I was twisting my hair so it wouldn't dry out & BABYEEEEEE.... You just did something! lol.
I hear you, Roisha! Just that simple tip has made such a big difference! Good for Kimberly Cherrell for sharing her knowledge and experience!!
Dropping gems
I'm going to do a protein deep conditioner this weekend, my hair needs it, and I found a Redken detox and clarifying shampoo to use. Man our hair is needy, clarify moisture and protein
Omg 😂I found my long lost twin I love imitating accents and personalities like I am on TV .. you are too funny 🤣
Hey Frennn What is this song . I’ve been trying to find it since I heard it on your channel. Pleaaaassseeee Great content!!!
I recently just did a protein treatment on my hair and the treatment was the 2 step protein treatment by Aphogee. I do the Aphogee 2 step protein treatment once every 2 months just to keep my hair in check and to prevent it from breakage! The Aphogee 2 step protein treatment stinks, but it is a very good protein treatment.
I’ve had mini rosier in for 3 weeks... I’ll be adding the Mielle Organics baba-something protein condition to today’s regimen!
baba-something 🤣 i really skip over the word whenever looking at the bottle online and do a double take hearing these youtubers say it
I’ve never done a protein treatment and been natural 3 years 🤦🏽♀️ I’m going to the store.....
@ticklepink thank you so much I’m gonna do some research and try it 🙏🏽
please do them! i have less shedding because of them
I was natural for 10 yrs b4 I knew anything about protein treatments. Just started the end of 2019 using protein. Now I know why I can't retain length. Girrrrrrl 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🥴🤣
@@kapparhotau181 did the protein treatment help or not help with length retention?
Hey Fren! I’ve used aphogee before for a protein treatment but it’s been awhile.
great video.
i stay with Aphogee 2-step protein treatment on my shelf. depending on what my hair is doing, i use it up to 3 times a year. that 16oz bottle lasts forever.
i don't like the balancing conditioner, so after that (cuz i still use it, per the directions), i follow up with a moisturizing deep conditioner.
stay safe
what if i only have the actual protein treatment? does it matter?
@@shadacreator5066 yes. you need a moisturizer or conditioner after the protein treatment because it will leave your hair extremely dry.
You’ve gained and retained a lot of length! It’s so much longer now.
Thanks fren!! Do you have a video about different kinds of protein treatments and the pros/cons like the ones in a jar from Camille rose vs the aphogee?
Whipping it will make it foam and easier, less messy to apply. You can apply it quicker and it gives a bit of detangling properties while in the foam. 2 ppl on YT have tried it. I have a mini electric whipper or you can use a whisk. My next time I put in a protein that is when I will try that
You know I'm sharing!!👍🏾✔💃🏾
Yes, both me and my daughter’s curls are looser in the front. Ironic you posted this too, because I was actually looking for a another good protein treatment...ran outta my staple
Nothing to do with this video but Kim got me out here moisture training my hair, washing and deep conditioning weekly (during quarantine season)
I love ittttt
Me, too!! So glad I found her channel!!
Yeaaa I haven't done a protein treatment in a min! 👀
I used to be scared of protein treatments because I was low porosity until I seen your protein overload video. I was doing Henna treatments once a month and I barley got shedding during wash day, my hair stopped breaking and shedding and my curl pattern was sooo defined. I feel off tho, I gotta start doing it again.
I love henna treatments
Your hair is beautiful. How do you stop your hair from matting together?
I love a good aphogee treatment.
I love your personality so much even when it’s something ik i won’t use 😂
#KimCheGang!!!!🙋🏾♀️💜 Hey Kim!!! Love it as I always do all your Content!!! Happy Friday!!💃🏾
Ugh. Lemme hit up Sally’s curbside because I haven’t done an Aphogee treatment in YEARS!
I had to send y’all a quick reminder
Great video, I’m a bit scurrred since I too am low-po and the same usually do mine with deep conditioner s but my hair doesn’t feel weak but I’ve never done THIS! I wonder, if doing a bentonite with a egg be equivalent🤔? Your hair looked good afterwards and Yes, the front be on something totally different
You did the same protein treatment when you freaked out about your hair being way too soft. I guess it was due to moisture overload. :)
Hey, thank you for this video first of all very informative. Just need a lil help. I took a protective style out a few weeks a ago that I had for 2 month. Wash and did a deep moisture treatment that contained some protein and then trimmed my ends. But every time I go to moisturise during the week little bits of hair keep breaking off. Should I have done a protein treat only?? I mean I do reconstructor p.treats cuz I can't have took much protein.
I’ve never done a protein treatment since I’ve been natural which is almost 3 years. Never felt like I needed one. I’m going to try the once a year though. I just don’t want to ruin my hair
Protein treatments are really good! For me, it helped my products soak in better and it really helped with my ends.
My hair is just always thirsty and I've never done a protein treatment. Hopefully one will help.
Girl i just did my first 2 step treatment about 2 weeks ago. My hair felt strong and soft! I deep conditioned afterwards. ... Not sure if i was supposed to but i felt like my hair was perfectly balanced btwn moisture and protein. I usually only do light protein in my products or with henna because i can easily get protein overload, but this was just right!
Are you low or high porosity
Omg my name is Sherrell too! Can I use a detox shampoo before the treatment?
Right who be lying out dees streets 🤔? My hair loves protein and I’m low Porosity. Love your vids #KimCheGang🤟🏾 btw I love the song you was playing. By the way friend I use Mielle deep conditioner with the protein and moisture balance like every two weeks because I’m a wash and go queen just like you and I do stretch my hair with heat and sit under the dryer for an hour so am I doing a good thing
Hi. Thanks for sharing this video. I have used henna in the past. Would it be okay if I used a protein treatment in my hair as well?
I’ve never had a protein treatment. I guess I should, but I’m scared my hair will fall out lol 😩
You are hilarious ❤😂
Hi, I would like to know where you purchased the scarf that you are wearing . I have one exactly like it and would love to find that pattern again.
Hey fren! Can I combine a protein treatment with a wash and go? Would I just use my normal leave-in conditioner and gels after the balancing moisturizer? Thank you!!
Hey I would love to know if you have any videos for extreme heat damage that can help me? 💞
That’s why my hair feels so stringy now it needs a strong protein treatment. I usually use protein deep conditioners but I guess they’re not strong enough. If I don’t have a dryer or blow dryer can I air dry in the sun for about half hour? Will it give it the same effect? And do you need to use a deep conditioner to bring back the moisture after all of that?
Always on time lol :)
