    my instagram: / seunokimi
    @seunokimi
    In this video I talk about protein moisture balance for natural hair, How to do a protein treatment for 4c natural hair, damaged hair, or high porosity hair, how to know if your hair needs protein or moisture, and how to stop shedding, ie breakage, on natural hair through protein. Protein treatments can be done on relaxed hair, curly hair, low porosity, high porosity hair, colored natural hair, heat damaged natural curly hair, at home yourself the diy way. However, its important to know how when and if protein is for you before you use it. Today I will be using the Aphogee Two 2 Step Protein Treatment. This video goes into how to help grow repair and treat heat damaged hair, or any type of damaged hair, retain natural hair length, repair damaged hair, stop breakage to help get hair thicker and fuller, and grow longer faster and prevent breakage by understanding how when and if you should add protein into your hair regimen. I show you how to add protein to you hair, different ways of how to apply protein treatment to hair, and how use Aphoogee 2 step treatment.
    All about how to do a protein treatment on natural hair for hair at home

    Seun knows hair and she is obviously brilliant and intentional. All that knowledge. Girl you should become a best sell author. A whole generation of black girls need to glean from your wealth of knowlege about black hair magic.
    I am a big fan. I actually permed my hair when you went natural. Now you are making me wanna go natural again.
    Update: I am now transitioning to natural majorly for lenght retention.
    I also noticed my natural hair appears darker and stronger than the permed version.

    I really like the Aphogee treatment. I recently started using it a couple of months ago, and it helped repair damage after I colored my natural hair with a box dye. My hair was weak, plastic-like after I dyed it. After using Aphogee, my hair feels the way it did prior to coloring it. My coils have their normal pattern again as well

      This is what my stylist uses on my 4C super thick hair once a month. It’s a very good protein for your hair. My hair is super dry anyway so she also uses a super moisturizing conditioner along with protein. I sleep in the protein and come back the next morning to complete my styling the next morning. Been working this way for years.

      I was subconsciously looking for this comment! I’d fallen into the trap of over-moisturizing, in response to a fear of being protein-sensitive. My routine is: wash twice with a mild shampoo, apply moisture-rich conditioner mixed with oil, then apply light-protein leave-in with oil. I wash the conditioner/oil out with cold water and do a protein pack when I feel my hair needs a little more keratin than usual. I currently have braids in and truly feel my hair would have fallen out, had I not come up with this balancing process. I use a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, Hello Hydration, olive oil, and Jamaican Black Castor Oil leave-in 💕✨💕✨💕✨💕✨💕✨💕

    I've always used the protein from Aphogee as protein works nicely for my hair. However, I don't rinse it out. I apply the protein with some humectant oil and or some good carrier moisturiser and it works a treat and the process is not unsustainable lengthy either. Tbh, I don't think I'm in to these very long processes. I really don't think there's a need. Love your videos generally but all videos, not just yours that provides very long processes now need to reconsider. Cos I don't think loving your hair equals lengthy process and to prove you love your hair. Sometimes leaving these rinse out in the hair or only rinse a little to leave in the hair works a treat. Should try it.

    My hair doesn't feel like either of those things and yet it breaks all the time even immediately after getting trims. I'm also super careful about being gentle. I no longer get braids or any hair styles really (stopped years ago) because stylists are never as gentle as I am, yet somehow my hair still breaks. I've already gotten blood work and everything's fine. It's so frustrating.

    Believe it or not, I found very few videos on people applying this on their hair, and if there is, they are doing too much rambling.😢
    Thank you for this insightful video. My stylist charges a hundred dollars to just do this (without style, moisture treatment is an extra charge), so, hopefully I can do this right and save money.

    One week I deep condition, the next week I do protein treatment(hair mayonnaise) and I alternate in that order. The only times I don’t alternate is when I wash my hair after having a protective style for weeks.

      @@tamarapreye_ I believe you can use any shampoo and conditioner with protien in it. Just make sure to check the ingredients just in case you may have an allergy to one of the ingredients in the hair product. Also I only used it until I finished both bottles of the protein shampoo and the conditioner. After that I just started using my regular moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
