Having literally 2 seperate apps that do the same thing - Google Fit and Google Fitbit (they're even named almost the same) is such a google thing to do. I can't believe they haven't connected them yet. I dream of the world where you can have just one fitness app that connects to everything
@@RB12590 Unfortunately neither of those, as I'm using Strava / Runkeeper / Garmin connect. But I've tried checking out the Google Fit many times, it just looks ridiculous.

Good old Pixel 2 :) My daughter's still using it for photos as it was way ahead of its time. For me Pixel Watch is a lot prettier than AW but it's probably because I don't like rectangular watches. Cheers!
If you can show how it tracks weight training (set counting and time between sets) in the full review it would be awesome. My new job doesn't allow calendar sync with the Garmin, so I'm looking for alternatives
Great review thank you. I particularly like your demonstration of removing/installing the watch band. Watching some other reviewers I had to roll my eyes at their exaggerated struggles to get the band off and on.
In all fairness, the first few times are incredibly awkward and it does take a little practice to do it efficiently. It’s certainly not my favorite mechanism but once you get the hang of it it’s not terrible. Thanks!

I just got here and really want a smart watch that works well and has a battery life more than 3 days and doesn't cost a kidney lol. Hoping one of these things hits that spot soon. Not a big fan of the ux on the Garmin. Only reason fit it hasn't been on the radar was the acquisition and uncertainty on the future. My old fitbit screen literally came off lol
Hey mate! Are you able to use a stop watch/timer while the watch is tracking a work out? I currently use my Garmin Venu 2 when I work out (i use the cardio mode) and then I also use the timer on the watch for my rest between sets. My previous fit bits (1 and 2) could not. The Fitbit sense 2 was such a disappointment, the EKG is not working in every country, O2 monitor in app gets just blank screen, app is asking policy reading every time I open it, sleep tracking advanced features are behind paywall... Nice battery life and over build feel nice, but I will be returning mine.
Would be interested in your comparing what data you get from this versus an Apple watch without subscription. As I understand it, you need a subscription to get the most out of the fitness data with the Pixel Watch
So while I agree I would like to point out the the premium for Fitbit subscription gets you barely anything extra, so it's basically irrelevant to 95% of the people out there, and that the benefits of a pure android system over iOS or other android wear OS that have other stuff laid into the software will still be far superior for those looking to do more with their watch.

@@robrockatansky5905 yeah, most people buying this will be plenty happy with the normal features of Fitbit and not think twice about paying for the premium. Especially since anything the premium offers can be done easily through other apps. That's the beauty of android, you have so much more freedom to do what you want, you aren't forced into the operating systems ecosystem if you don't want to be, like iOS. There is absolutely no fail here, just narrow sided people who want something to complain about. No product will make 100% people happy. You're perfectly ok to co run back to apple if you wish

Here google is giving the watch and if I want to get more data out of it I need to pay . This was just an unboxing video. In all my actual review videos I *always* compare HR accuracy to a chest HR strap, sometimes a Polar but all straps that are proven to be reliable and accurate.
The Apple Watch unboxing experience feels different to me where they have separate boxes for the case and the band and then there is some assembly required. There does seem to be some inspiration for how the charging cable is packaged but that's about the only similarity I see.

Why in your videos you never compare heart rate accuracy with polar strap?
This was just an unboxing video. In all my actual review videos I *always* compare HR accuracy to a chest HR strap, sometimes a Polar but all straps that are proven to be reliable and accurate.

Weird they didn't use the wear OS app. Guess because of the Fitbit integration.
It’s still Wear OS 3.5 as the base OS but with more of a tighter integration of Fitbit features within.
