According to other creators the pixel watch never actually charges via wireless power share or through any other charger than the one it comes with despite showing the charging screen. This video was great! A lot of features was provided that I didn't even know the watch did! I know the feature is simple but love the idea of being able to use your watch to take pictures on your phone instead of having to worry about a Bluetooth remote. I have some pre-order credits that I am planning on spending but the main issue is wondering if I should just wait for the Pixel Watch 2 or see if I can catch a bigger sale on the 1st Gen Pixel watch.

Just an FYI, the battery share doesn't work. The watch doesn't use a standard implementation of QI charging. It lights up to say it's charging but then disables the feature on the phone and does nothing. In the same way you can get the animation with a Samsung or Apple watch charger.

Is there a way to have your Bluetooth headphones with back and forth from your pixel and and phone when appropriate, such as music, phone calls, directions or when you get out of range from your phone? Just a feature on Google pods or any other Bluetooth headphones
I am having this issue with my new phone...spotify and media play through buds connected to the watch but calls won't...google support is clueless as to the cause because according to them it shouldn't. I have torn the internet apart trying to find a cause/fix...my verizon store is ordering another to troubleshoot....they believe it's a functionality issue and not a connection issue....
@@TheScarllettdreamer I had some other issues but when I took it to the cell store I bought it they fixed it easily. Most of the time it is consumer error, not knowing the full potential of our smart technology or how to use it.
The Apple Watch is way better than the Pixel Watch. It is missing Ultra Wide Band support. Square smartwatches are better to use than cicrle smartwatches. Circle smartwatches have unused space.
The good thing is that you can enjoy most of these features with any supported WearOS device. I'm using the Galaxy Watch 4 classic and loving it. Nice helpful video tho ❤️
the craziest thing about the camera control is that it can connect over internet, so if you go out without your phone you can still controll your camera and see your home I guess. Or setup a super zoom shot too.

Great video for those who have a Google phone and google watch. You should mention at the beginning of your video that the camera function ONLY works with Google phones.
Really great video, informative and entertaining. With all the amazing features this looks like a great watch to get, but I had to pass over it due to the lack of battery. I really like that remote camera feature, reminds me of using the Galaxy Note Pen to take photos, but that's not enough of a wow to make up for getting 10-40 hours of usage per charge and then the subscription fees on the Pixel. I ended up going with a Garmin that could get 2 weeks of usage on a single charge. It's a different beast from the Pixel. Garmin is a fitness watch that has a few smartwatch features rather than a smartwatch that can do some fitness like the Pixel. A lot of what the Pixel can do are just repeats of phone features, so I don't really feel that I'm missing out. Then on top of that, all the analysis of the fitness data you get with the Pixel is locked behind a Fitbit paywall. Garmin gives you double the features and no paywall.
I also think 12+ hours battery a day is turnoffs to me My plan is to wait for 2nd generation of pixel watch to increase the battery time and maybe discontinue monthly thingy that they are doing
@@boodesultan12 My prediction: Google may fix the Pixel Watch's battery life via software or in the next Gen, but I really doubt they will stop their Fitbit monthly sub cash cow. I refuse to buy something but have to pay monthly to use all of its features. Honestly I'd rather spend $1000 on a Garmin and never pay a cent again than pay $350 on a watch then pay $80 every year.
Agreed. I bought an iPad 10 for my wife for Christmas. She was previously only a Windows & Android kinda girl. Lots of growing pains. Hayls would make the transition easy.
