      Nour Mallek when I'm bored I drink water I know that sounds weird but basically just get a water bottle and then you have something in your hand and you can sip on it whenever you are bored and get cravings. It might not work for you but it works for me well.

      Weight doesn't always directly correlate with healthiness, maybe try and get into a sport like soccer or yoga on a weekly basis and then go shopping with your mum or dad and ask if you can get some fresh fruit and veg

    • @Stella-cr5vh
      @Stella-cr5vh 5 років тому +42

      I‘m so sorry to hear that... maybe try to cook your meals for yourself (rice with veggies, ask for money and buy them yourself). If you parents don‘t see why you don‘t want to eat junk food, tell them that they can‘t force you to eat junk food because it‘s really unhealthy... worked for me

    Question: has anyone ever experienced always thinking about food? Ever since I started eating healthier I find that I am always thinking about food and what I'm going to eat next, what I'm going to make for breakfast the next day, ect. And I don't understand why. I mean it's one thing to think about food when you're hungry, but why am I thinking about food so much when I'm not even hungry? This is getting really annoying. I really hate thinking about food more then I need to. Can anyone give me some advice? Will this eventually go away or will it be this way forever? I really hope this doesn't last forever :(

      I have the same thing, I think it's maybe a form of worry about what you are eating? I know unplanned days I eat more junk, so it might be internalised planning to ensure you WILL eat healthy and not fall into the tasty trap of bad food!

      maybe it's because when you're not eating healthy, you can eat whatever you want. when you get hungry, you can just open the fridge, and eat whatever you find, but now, you actually have to think about what you eat. given in mind that eating healthy is very challenging, and you often have to think of what to prepare for the next meal. the only advice u have for you is that your mind will get used to it, and eating healthy will be a lifestyle

    • @skyebryant9017

      Kiriko 霧故 you're not meant to brush your teeth directly after eating. Something to do with food acids. (It's just something my dental assistant friend told me. Blew my mind as I'd been brushing my teeth straight after breakfast all my life)

    • @sillylilkoala
      @sillylilkoala 6 років тому +22

      Wait 30minutes if you've eaten something acidic. Acids weaken tooth enamel, but swishing with water is a good idea to get some of the acids out of your mouth.

    I am going to keep it real with you guys. No shame in here. The heaviest I've been was 115kg. As a black guy, no one really tells you that, hey man, you may wanna cut back or something like that. You may receive some fat jokes here and there, but you don't really get, like a real sit down moment, to be told about the repercussions of your health.
    So, I lived most of my life thinking I was completely okay until I found myself in a position where I didn't feel comfortable taking pictures anymore. This was after I saw a picture of myself with my brothers that are older than me, but in the picture, they looked like they could be my nephews or sons.
    This wasn’t anyone’s fault. I brought this onto myself and I had no one to blame, but myself. Yet I felt so mad at the world, at anyone who walked with their shirt off at a pool party, at the girls my age that called me sir and at my mom for the most time. I felt like she had the power to tell me to stop eating and she did not.
    The truth is there was nothing anyone could have done to help me. I ate at odd hours of the night, I spent my days sleeping, I had a snack every time my mouth felt like I needed something to chew, not because I was hungry and my meals had so much sugar if they were to test my blood those days it was going to be sweet.
    So, I tried exercising, but we all know how that goes. you can only be serious with it for maybe a week if you are strong enough. I did not really start breaking through until I discovered this book” gum.co/EatHealthyAndFeelEnergetic “. It sort of gave me a perspective of how I was going about it all wrong. Basically, you have to eat right to have the energy to even start exercising to lose weight. The key is in eating the right foods and knowing when to and when not to eat the heavy foods. Not going on unnecessary diets that starve you. Which then makes you eat twice as much when you finally get real food. The book above helped me to the point where i lost a shocking 30kg. I can't even wear anything I used to wear before the weight loss. I can go an entire night without waking up for food now. I can run for at least 5km without feeling like am going to die. I can feel good being around other people knowing that am not the topic. I have real confidence in myself now. Instead of wearing a thick skin, I used to put on, to brushing off every fat joke, yet dying inside.
    Thank you for reading my story I hope the book works for you as well dear reader.

      Crutches actually do nothing but strengthen the muscles. they don’t get rid of the fat. In order to get rid of fat (if that’s what ur looking to do) Do 20-40 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week followed by a 45-60 second plank. You should start seeing results soon

    Islamically, we are told to make sure we sit when we eat or drink; this was revealed over 1400 years ago. However, with advancements in science and technology, we are JUST coming to know of the benefits. Although proven to be great for weight loss, it also comes with a lot of health benefits. Did you know by sitting down and eating you can be preventing cancer, aiding your digestion as well as ensuring you maintain good posture too? Look into it!

    I pay much more attention to what I eat that when I'm with other people or not at home in my own kitchen, I get reallyyyyy picky with what I eat. I actually enjoy the art of being in control of WHAT I eat.
    I mean, it's very important, you only get 1 body! ;)
    Thanks for the tips!

    Another issue with salad dressing is that people consume more than the recommended serving size. I found little squeeze bottles at Walmart that hold two servings of salad dressing. For someone on the go, this is an easy way to not over do it on the dressing. It also helps to have a small digital scale for food in your kitchen, so you're not having to eyeball portion sizes.
    Here's a helpful little tip, 1ml=1gram. So, if what you're measuring is one of those, you don't have to change the settings on your scale.

    The part about starving yourself
    I know it is bad but it is a little utopian to think you can get « three little healthy meals per day »
    I’m in a boarding school where the food is really unhealthy, everything is cooked in oil wether it’s the pasta or French fries, even the vegetables are bathing in oil !
    So I’d rather skip the dinner than eat this

    The thing I have discovered about myself is if I go hungry or starve myself I will end up eating more than what I would usually eat, I would eat anything nearby, healthy or unhealthy and then end up feeling guilty, lethargic and just plain bad about my health. So decent amount of food, higher in proteins will keep me full and sane.

    Love all the hacks but drinking tea instead of snacking isn't sustainable. Tea is an appetite suppressant, so you will most likely not reach your calorie goal only by eating 3 meals. If your body is hungry for chips, just let yourself have it. It's much more beneficial for your mental health. It's okay to have a cheat meal or snack. I have suffered with orthorexia for 3 years and these tips sort of brought up what I did during my eating disorder. Not trying to be rude or anything ❤ just watching out for other girls who may be developing an ed that may abuse certain tricks. Love you💕

  • @shahedlistener3582
    @shahedlistener3582 4 роки тому +1

    Another hack that encouraged me alot , put a paper on your room wall , and write your current weight , and the weight you want to reach at the end of the paper and between them write your every week weight or even your every month , this way you will see every day that you are achieving your goal step by step and you won't get bored 🥰
    And Sorry for the bad English 😅

    thank youuu!!! I have starved myself for so long and this video just made me realize what the fuck i have been doing to my body.. I lost 22 KG in a healthy way be exersising and healthy food, but then it stood still on the scale and I panicked and started skipping meals... I have to realize that the weight is not everything either, i'm happy for what i see in the mirror and i actuality feel good about myself. I'm a girl who has been very uncertain of myself but at-least I got back my will and motivation to go down my last kilo to reach my goal weight but in a healthy way !!! Sweet potatoe fries are the best! One piece of advice though: coat them in egg yolk and spices before cooking them and flip them half-way through cooking time (make sure they'renot touching so that they will keep their crispiness)! I use paprika, onion powder and garlic powder and they're so tasty that I don't even need to dip them in anything. Just perfect!
