Best FORT location in Manor Lords!!

- If you have not built a fort in Manor lords before, try it! It not only is a fun experience, but it is a very viable tactic to win battles. Especially once you set up in this specific location, fighting battles becomes really easy.

The 2 gates should not be side by side, 2nd inner gate should be on opposite end.
I'm seeing a lot of videos that boil down to "put archers behind walls, they can shoot through them"
Once that gets patched, things are gonna go downhill.
the baron's army isn't hard to beat in open field combat so there is no need to do this anyway unless you have a small population and need to cheese it a little
Once the towers work properly that won't matter
Not really, because (I think) the devs don't want to program the possibility to make an arch with the flight of the arrow so they just make them shoot through it and not above it
Never seen this game before. Looks exciting. :D I love medieval strategy types.
It’s fantastic. Not without bugs, but it’s early access. The dev has worked on it for 7 years by himself.

It's a great city builder with some hints of combat strategy but combat is doesn't feel polished yet or the main focus. Also this isn't the full release

I didn't think about this because I thought the enemy troops would have to go to the entrance because of the walls. Turns out they can just walk through them and kill my archers.
Oh yeah. The medieval strategy of shooting through walls (still waiting for that to get patched some day)
Problem is there's no point in building walls and towers at this moment lol. It's only good for aesthetics because enemy soldiers just go through walls. :)

Do the enemy troops only attack the castle fortifications? I assumed they burned down the entire town.
the Baron's army will always go for your army, Raiders will do the same when they get in range so its easy to bait them

Everyone builts it there. Even toug sometimes it is the best area for Grain.

Can you only make walls out of wood or can you make it out of stone also
I mean it sounds like a great defensive location, but is at a location where the enemy is forced to take it if they want to fight you?
you can lure them by using a bait

Use a light unit like archers and shoot them once from a distance, then as they chase your archers move them back to your defences

what is the need for a defensive manor?
I've never been attacked in my main
you can bait his army from anywhere on the map and bring them back to your main manor if you wanna cheese every battle
@@th3_k1d There was a bug last time that made me lose a battle because I kited them away from the region that the battle was supposed to happen.
I killed all his mercs but didnt get the victory prompt, then suddenly the same mercs i killed was summoned after a month.
IDK if its fixed hough.
@@ggwagmi1236 yeah, when the battle starts a random area will be chosen as the battle ground, if you fight them outside of that area you have to keep 1 squad of men in the area and wait i think 90 days to get the win, his army will respawn after some time but normally at way less strength
@@th3_k1d its always full strength and will spawn like 1month after i wipe them.
maybe its because I used a full militia and didnt recruit the mercs, maybe the pool of mercs is the same for the baron
@@ggwagmi1236 they are, if you dont recruit them before he does he will so alway a good idea to take them so they fight for you instead
Cliff edges do nothing, can just walk up and down them
Its on EDGE of map with make it useless
It’s ok as a killing zone just if you can lure the enemies into it
Just later it sucks getting out
