I think that in this map, bombing and strafing runs shouldn’t be available to the teams because the weather specifically made air support unavailable. Foy was after the weather broke so I’m not too picky about that. I feel like it would add maybe a mix into the gameplay that gives the map its own identity, and perhaps force teams to work together more since they can’t just call in a bombing run to solve a problem, instead rewarding solid offensive and defensive play.
I can actually see that working out forcing players to actually work together. But of course if we are gonna go to that direction what kind of commander ability will be available? (I would say replace the bombing runs with maybe artillery for only that map also can help test its effectiveness)
@@Freedomtower221 I think it would have to be all aircraft, including supply drops, no? It would force the better utilization of Support (might be asking a little too much) as well as supply trucks. Could be interesting....
@@TanBzkor maybe potentially make supply drops either less accurate in how you drop them (due to the weather and visibility) or like you said replace bombing with artillery
I am pleasantly surprised by this overview. One of the concerns I've had when T17 took over was if they'll manage to keep the spirit of the map design and succeed to recreate a battlefield to the same degree as the original maps. Seems like they're managing it so far.
Looks awesome! The dynamic weather seems so needed when crossing large open spaces sometimes, imagine a large sand storm on el alamein or torrential downpours on purple heart lane. Those maps would benefit from that variety
The level design on display here looks much more intricate than what we got in Mortain, this new dynamic weather technology they implemented could also be a game changer for both future and old maps. I hope it plays as great as it looks, good job on Team 17's part.
Looks very good to me, better than i spected; my only concern it's/are the LODs of the objects and my only complains are... that we have to manualy choose the uniform for this kind of maps instead the game switching/choosing the right uniform for the map in the server rotation, winter/snow = winter uniform = Outfit 01, desert/sand = desert/summer uniform = Outfit 02; and... that we don't have enough/more eastern front and North african maps, specially eastern front maps that's where most of the WWII took place. But i'm looking forward to this map, looks very good and the layout seems quite realistic.
Seeing as you rarely get more than 3 armour squads, I think this will be an El Alemain style slaughter where people sit in holes and complain, until a dice-roll random cloud rolls in and covers you. Very risky, considering 40/50 players go infantry, to give a new "tank map".
We need more UK - Pegasus Bridge, Torch, Tobruk, St Nazaire raid, Caen, El Daba USSR - Berlin, Sevastopol, operation Saturn, Bagration, Dukla, Seelowe, Königsberg GER - Gazala, Kasserine, Aachen, Anzio, Gela beach US - Essen, Monte Cassino
maps looks good and I like the snowy effects, but can this map have ''too much'' cover? Can they overdo strongpoints where I understand the ''each strongpoints looks like a small map on it's own'' sure but I sincerly hope it won't feel like I'm playing Counter Striker or Call of Duty on each of them with the insane amount of props placed like an arena
This looks like a great map but unfortunately until team 17 fixes issues with clans bullying people on console and having people kicked for cheating I don’t want to support the game. I will though support Fresh and his content creation!

I’m gonna say this I love the map I love team 17, hell let loose. The only thing I ever want in this future game is the add Italian map. It will make me a happy man because I hate how ww2 games don’t add them maybe because It takes a lot of graphics to make it work because it’s full of mountains and Other reasons but it’ll be great to have them in hell let loose like the, battles of Anzio, operation husky , and battle of Monte Casino. That’s my own opinion love this new map. Can’t wait to play it and thank you team 17 for all your efforts of making this game Great.

Why so many maps on France and Netherlandsnd when 90% of the war was on others fronts ? Just to give you and idea, close to 1/3 of the German army deployment was in Russia
probably because they are all working on multiple projects, and its not some massive triple A company like Blizzard or something. Releasing content inconsistently renders us gamers with a high standard that gets harder and harder to meet for a smaller company like theirs.

I'm not comparing them to a tripleA company....im comparing them to everyday people who manage to do more in their spare time. There must be a team dedicated to hell let loose - unless there really isn't. But if there is a team.....I cannot understand where they are spending their time. I get bug fixes is time consuming.....but really can't understand why making a new map would take any longer than a month. They're either ludicrously inefficient or ludicrously directed/managed. I bet they'd have a heart attack if they came to work in any other industry 🤣
@@albin7772what is your ISP? This was happening to me for years until I switched from century link to Cox. Your internet speed is not the issue, it’s the games servers not being able to “speak” to certain ISPs. It’s something that Team 17 will never change unfortunately. Trust me I’ve been fighting them on this for actual years since 2021. In the meantime though, a temporary fix is using your mobile hotspot on your phone instead of your home WiFi. This worked perfectly for me with no issues until I was able to switch ISPs.
This looks great. I think it’s got great variation and also no dominating choke points. You’ll need to hold key points to control the land around it vs one MG dominating one of the only river crossings
Xbox requires you to sign up for PTE and it replaces the actual game with the PTE and you need to opt out of it in order to play the actual game and redownload it…. It’s very annoying…. Steam is much better. (I have both)
Looks like another totally unrealistic Battlefield map, like El Alamein. There's giant boxes stacked into 20 ft towers - how exactly would this happen in the middle of a forest, in winter, in world war 2? Even if you could, why would you even stack things that high in a forest? There's tanks burning every 3 feet. There's barbed wire in completely non-sensical places. Bunkers built in the middle of storage areas - why?! There's sentry boxes seemingly on the front line - you wouldn't find these boxes in the middle of a forest on the front line....you see them in settled/occupied regions as they are used for traffic control. The idea that the Germans were erecting sentry boxes in the middle of the battle of the bulge offensive is totally stupid.
From Mortain, and now Elsenborn, you can totally tell that the devs are still learning the engine. These two maps literally look like someone just placing stuff in a map editor and spray painting dirt texture on the ground. Compare the map textures in these two with the original Normandy maps in the game and it’s night and day how better quality the Normandy ones are.
Good thing it only takes them half a year to add one new map that isn't a night retexture, maybe if we are LUCKY we will get some new weapons or gadgets. Everyone's about to get excited, when really we should be disappointed with how they have starved us of what we *deserve* for being loyal to this company who has failed time, time and time again. They keep playing the 'we are a small studio' card. They are not.
While I agree on the lack of stuff, I do think that we only paid once for the game. They can't run on those initial profits forever. Should probably just make HLL 2, with all the tech and code they own and just do the Pacific theatre or WW1, or Korea as a different game...

They just need to lock certain cosmetics to specific maps and THEN slow us to choose from that smaller pool per map.
