I am 35 and never learned how to shoot a basketball. I was self conscious as a kid, so I just avoided playing it. I could play everything well, but I avoided basketball like the plague even when I became older. After watching this video and spending about an hour of practicing alone, I can now shoot a basketball!
Yo I need your help I used to have a really good shooting form and jumpshot but 2 days passed by and now my guide hand looks towards the basket and I overall became way worse at shooting, can you please give me some help/tips?
I’m too weak to make it into the hoop. The only thing I can make is a lay up, no matter what technique I use or how many of these videos I watch, I simply cannot make it
The only skill needed to be achieved is consistency, by using these tips, they help you achieve a more efficient shot. Remember, it’s all one motion. Having an open mind and confidence, I’m for sure you got it.
Train your arms everyday and try to improve your vertical as well. When I started playing back in 1st-2nd grade I faced the same problem and now I am fixing my form years later. You got this bro ❤🙂
This gonna sound dumb but how do i do this faster when i slow it down like u do in the video the shot is nice but i cant shoot like that normally. How ? If that makes sense
I’m 13, I used to shoot from my hip on the side and the fling it so I’m working on a normal jumpshot, I hold it at or below my chin but sometimes I’m to the right or to the left, is it about arc and the elbow? Or the middle finger being last to touch it(my hands are small I’m playing up) edit: I also am not confident but sometimes am
Love love love the attention to detail!!! Excellent breakdown. Friendly challenge, if you can beat my last video 7 spot drill from 3, I venmo you 100. Stats 42 for 46 from 3, in 5 min 20 seconds all own rebounds
Can anyone give me tips on my bumass slow release? It feels like it has two motions. Should i just practice shooting it fast from now on in one motion?
if its 2 motion its most likely because you have a hitch. the tips is the video really help, keep the ball close but comfortable, and bring the ball straight up to your set point and when it hits your set point release. nothing about your shot should be forced. it should be all relaxed and comfortable.
I know it can feel as if you don’t get to your set point but that’s how fast jump shots feel. Just don’t think about your set point once you’ve established muscle memory. Just let it rip
No, make sure the only fingers that have an effect on the ball is your shooting hand middle and or index finger, when you use the middle you start to miss left or right or make even more weird tweak on your jumper to compensate for it going that way
you can't you are not strong enough shoot it like in tray young height so somewhere around chin height if you want to raise your shot plus you will have better range when u grow up

I score all my goals from the free throw line but not the 3 point line bc I'm not throwing far enough

Most likely your release is not fluid. Focus on resting the ball on your palm and breaking your risk while you shoot.
When I shoot like this bro I Berly make it at mid range I always need 2 hands
Is it okay if I shot with my middle and ring Finger ?
No, make sure the only fingers that have an effect on the ball is your shooting hand middle and or index finger, when you use the middle you start to miss left or right or make even more weird tweak on your jumper to compensate for it going that way
