You are getting your facts wrong here - the upside on the 126509 (white gold) that you refer is not this watch, it is the daytonna Le Mans that looks similar but is clearly a special edition and therefore comes with the incredible increases in value. The upside on the white gold daytonna is similar to all the other precious metal daytonnas.

I bought a date just 7 years ago for 8k. It’s worth 12k now but I would never sell it. It has sentimental value. I did have a 41 mm good day date discontinued that i payed 29k and sold it for 42 2 years ago. The prices are dropping and when the stock market crashes all these people with watches they consider collateral, they will be selling for the low. Should be fun getting good deals
