i have been a viewer for at least two years now. loving how you go so indepth with designers and conceptualisation. my knowledge of fashion has not only improved immensely but allowed me to gain a proper love of fashion. thankyou.
Deepika's white Abu Jaani Sandeep saree was stunning, she looked fabulous. What a way to leave an impression on people.
She looked so elegant in that white saree
that saree was from Abujani sandeep Khosla :-)
@@adityadutt2806 Oh I thought it was a falguni Shane peace. Apologies
@@teadrinker1260 hehe no problem 😄
Im surprised he didnt review that 🥺
Anne Hathaway--already an undeniable icon, legend, and moment--brought her EVERYTHING to these Cannes looks. May or may not have audibly gasped at her Armani Privé gown on the red carpet. Embodying that French Riviera, effortless glow, it-girl energy.
well she's the queen of genovia afterall 😌
What happened to stylists? They think they only need to pick the dress and have forgotten about how hair, makeup and accessories can make or break a look.
Completely agree! How can people with so much money and such extensive support systems have so little style? It's really puzzling.
I just pray for Marion Cotillard and Kristen Stewart to be free of Chanel.
The Iris Van Herpen dress on Coco blew me away. The way it creates the illusion of an extremely narrow silhouette made me study it closely.
about måneskin: damiano's suit (the glitter suit) is actually a reference to a suit that elvis wore. they're part of the soundtrack of the elvis movie so i love the reference!! and victoria doesn't actually likes to wear dresses or high heels so there you have the pants and the boots. thomas (the silk one) actually loves wearing hats and strange stuff.
I am so happy he included them and I love all their looks!
Fabulous. Have been looking forward to this second part. Bella Hadid's dress reminds me more of the late 60s and 70s growing up in Ibiza, Spain. It has a very Spanish dancer/Flamenco vibe. Except for the velvet bodice, my mom was designing skirts like that, and I was wearing them when I was 8. I love the dress.
Anne and Deepika were the best dressed this Cannes, there isn’t a look I didn’t love. Deepika’s final look is from a fairytale and Anne’s white Armani is a dream.
Exactly 💯
Really? I think deepikas was disappointing I have see her wear such great other things especially her gold sequenced saree for her wedding reception god it was Georgous I wish she gave us more south Asian clothes
@@FT-bd8mc I never heard about her before Cannes, unfortunately. But I'm sure she has more than one great look. I'll check for her wedding reception outfit :)
@@clumsywithwords Yh I assumed you wouldn’t have but I am just surprised you this one was good I completely agree with Anne she looks beautiful but Bella was a lot better than deepika.
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I don't think I have ever seen Kristen Stewart in a Chanel outfit that I liked. Plus she has the worst posture! And don't even get me started on the hair! I want to root for her, but she's not giving me anything to work with. :(
Chanel's style just doesn't suit her and it seems like she doesn't like the outfits either
I agree. For comparison look at what Chanel and Keira Knightley put out together… now *that* was a match.
what surprized me was that I always thought kristen has that boyish look..like keira..so perfect for chanel...but NO.
In chanel kristen's hips look big...how is that even posible...and the colors? every time when I see her in chanel she looks washed out...powder rosa or corall are just not for her.
@@britvica I would say the same about Margot Robbie. She and Kristen just don't look good in Chanel, there's lika a mismatch between the outfits and their aura
@@britvica Sigh. You would think Kristen would be perfect for Chanel. She's a pretty girl, has a bit of edge, and a good body and yet... I remain perpetually underwhelmed.
"hit a goose on the way, mayday mayday, those poor Nebraskans... Omg the way laughter just erupted from my belly lolololololololol I cannot with you
I am a fan! You pronounce Bottega Veneta in a perfect way and your comments are to be admired as usual.
This UA-cam channel has taken over my free time and I am not at all mad about it. My favorite!
Im surprised that you didnt Review deepika's ending pearl saree look i was really excited for you to see that look 🥺 also not that it matters but her Padukone is pronounced as padukon,
I remember a comment once mentioned in her native language which isn't hindi actually the "e" is pronounced as well so maybe the original pronunciation is padukone.
He did it I think in the first part.
@@Sara-yl8ug no he didnt...he even had so many comments telling him to review it but he didnt...wonder why
Love how you teach us about fashion and the history behind each fashion house. You got me to fall in love with fashion and I couldn’t thank you enough. Our hero. 💕
I was holding my breath with the Bella Hadid/ Chanel dress to see if you picked up the Bretonne reference and...you hit it out of the park! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
A breakdown of the best looks from Fashion Icons (plus a few flops) and relationships with designers (muses) would be amazing. Like historical people - Elvis, Audrey, Bowie, Bianca Jagger.
I get like Zendaya can do no wrong, but people who are gone and remained icons their whole lives.
please do more fashion week coverage!!! Still waiting for that fall 2022 review
Not Lewis Hamilton showing up every day to the formula one paddock styled head to toe by lawroach for you to be like ‘shoutout to Daniel Ricciardo’ hahaha
Lmfao right?!? I would love to see him do a vid on Lewis’ paddock fashions
I like that Chanel dress a lot for what it is. I hate it on Bella tho. I wish you did the 7 days 7 looks from Vogue Japan too 😭
It just doesn't suit her, it would look better on a bigger woman imo.
Yuhhhhh I love whenever you go into depth about the outfitsssss, your commentary also really helps!
@Ahmadjoe wth

I can't think of a better phrase for neon pinks "Violently Pink" Truly though it doesn't look so agressive on Anne as it does on others.
I’m so happy you’re finally reviewing Lena Mahfouf, she had the highest score as an influencer for dior this year. She’s bigger than Chiara Ferragni so atm she’s pretty much the most powerful european fashion influencer.
I actually LOVED her dress. I would have worn it in heartbeat
@@savannah115 the difference with other influencer is that she actually studied fashion for 5 years, she has a master degree and did an exchange in nyu for a year. All of that with the money she could get from little jobs. I think she deserves what’s happening to her and I’m proud to finally have some french young people to represent our country. Because besides some famous actors and products of nepotism (lili rose..) we are lacking of new french icons
I love her! I can’t speak French but follow her on Insta and just use the translate button.
Just discovered her this year. I can see why she's an influencer.
luke consulting his fashion books to talk about gucci's 1990s dress is very iconic. love the research around the ensembles/dresses!
You are so right about that white dress on Bella. Seeing it beside the original made all those little details stand out. Your detailed description of this has helped me begin to notice these things myself and appreciate fashion so much more now. I appreciate your channel so much!
Yo your book collection is growing. From one collector to another, more power to you (since knowledge is power).
The girls loovveeddd that Valentino Fall 2022 collection.
the crystal neckline on Lena's dress is actually a necklace (i believe bulgari). i love that you've been including her in your event fashion videos bc i think she's doing interesting things in that space!
thank u i was waiting for this 😢
Definitely should have looked over Nailea’s dress because it was stunninggg
Here's hoping you'll be doing a Time 100 red carpet review. I am obsessed with the Oscar de la Renta dress that Ariana Bose wore.
'upsetment' I fricken love the words you use 😭💜
Totally agree on the katherine langford look. It would have looked amazing on someone like Olivia Colman
I can't believe people didn't like Bella Hadid's vintage Chanel dress. As soon as I saw it I was transported back into my childhood! It was beautiful, and Luke is right ofc, it's perfect for Cannes.
Ironic that she was able to appreciate such an iconic piece more than some older critics were, she was born 10 years after it was made and yet she has a better eye for 80s fashion than them.
I love it too. It's beautiful and fun and campy and classy all at the same time. I just hate her bangs LOL
@Jane Gerughty same!! It did not have the same wow factor on her as it did on a gorgeous model in the 60’s.
It just bores me how rich kids can be the new “supermodels”. Very very blah.
@@PindakaasMetHagelslag what is this fabled time when supermodels were not rich kids
@@bdp8102 hmm, I can think of Natalia Vodianova, who was extremely poor when she started modelling. A lot of East European models have humble beginnings I think, even the ones who become supermodels..
@@sindhusanthanakrishnan5465 yeah, but rich kids being supermodels is nothing new, I think people just need a reason to hate on the new generations
I want all these books in the background! it's just amazing😍😍😍
Binge watching your videos ☺️🫰🏻 , really really fun and honest , keep going can’t wait for more ✨
I'm not even into fashion, just watch these videos for the awesome commentary. Love it 😄!
Always so happy to see your videos
Loved it! 😍
This is my favorite channel ❤❤
LaKeith Stanfield is the MOMENT, he always looks hot and fabulous, thank you so much for including him ❤️.
Great looks, great video! Rebecca Hall and Lakeith Stanfield were the best for me.
Deepika's LV ❤️❤️❤️
But Luke's Miles Teller shake I can't 😭🔥🔥
I LOVE YOU! So smart.
alton mason slayed my existence. i wish i owned something like that🙌🏽 perfection
Love it Luke 💝🌟
alton mason looks so goooodddd i thought the shoes definitely worked in their way- anne hathaway' silver shoes are like Intro Level Bad with that bag but I want them
Love your videos so much ❤️
Lewis Pullman is the son of actor Bill Pullman whom you might know as the president in the movies Independence Day or the dad in Casper or Fred in David Lynch's film Lost Highway.
Deepika Padukone is literally conquering ❤️❤️
Queen of Indian cinema for a reason
She literally went to JNU.
do you really wanna be supporting someone like that?
And even if you do, the majority of people have realized the two faced people that the bullawood people are. And it shows with how her movies are doing🙂.
@@doesntmatter340 do you really think that most of the actors even have that much brain to understand what is wrong and what is right to the circumstance of political correctness
@@doesntmatter340 her movies are killing it! So dont know what u r complaining about!
PART 3 maybe???!
I was really hoping to see Heart Evangelista on this list. I think her red and powder blue gowns were gorgeous. She also always attends the Paris and NY Fashion weeks and documents them on her social media. I’m not an expert, I just like her style.
Yes I was waiting for her too...💔
Luke is bringing back the words "tart, tarty and tartified" and now I'm calling everyone "tart". Hey mum, you tart! lol Haa ha. Thanks Luke xox
"It screams nothing, it's just… a forgetful whisper." 🤣
Could u do a guide on how to dresd for men and women to excentuate their features? Like tips on dressing feminine and masculine?
I am a new viewer. Love your style
Love to see Charli in the thumbnail🥺🤩
Speaking of Formula 1. I would really love for you to make a video about Lewis Hamilton. And his paddock looks. Or just his looks in general.
I love the delayed blur on Kristen 🤣
It's Stephane Rolland, hes such a great designer. you would love Alessandra Ambrosio also wore one of his dresses x
I want that first pressiat look 😌😌😌
I think that pink Valentino big dress would suit perfect for met
Deepika’s pearl saree!!! You didn’t react to that 😢
i genuinely think marion cotillard's stylist hates her because she is one of the most beautiful women in the world and yet i have never seen her in an outfit that looks good on a red carpet or at a premiere
like i have been following her career since around 2011 and i have seen her wear a good outfit on a red carpet maybe twice in that time. she truly needs to fire her stylist
I was expecting you would review the look/looks of the Philippines’ Fashion darling Miss Heart Evangelista.
I usually hate watching videos longer than 20 min.. But yours I get sad when they finish. 😂
would u react to hikari mori's 7 days 7 looks on vogue japan? i had no idea who she was but she won me over so fast!
Merch with “it most definitely” pls
Oooh would be so nice if you did a look review for Halston the Netflix series!!! It’s a very good series.
You're the one to blame for my lris Van Herpen stanning
Luke, XTINA attended the gala wearing Miss Sohee.
Stephanne Rolland, finally you mention him!
Ha ha I remember the hadid Gucci dress first time around!! Wow. The cut out is lovely
I need the pressiat jumpsuit !!!
I knew you’ll like the red chanel suit on Kristen Stewart 🍓❤️ And I’d wear Rebecca Hall’s Gucci dress if went Cannes 2022 💖 Tilda is cool and queen as always 👸
I really really loved Sabrina carpenter’s look!!!!! Magnificent 💕
Would appreciate a video on iris van herpen very much please
She's the modern da vinci x Alexander mcqueen
You'll LOVE her
I love this beautiful look on Yseult! Including her bag which looks like a 6 pack of a generous man!
along with taking in bellas dress id say the cutout is sitting higher than modeled looks like the buckle is supposed to be over the hipbone but hers is right above
The pap in the back of Kylie in Versace. 💀 (24:01)
Mathilde Pinault definitely takes the top spot!
Indians be here for Deepika Padukone
Yaaa my girl charli (I haven’t watched yet so I take this back if her outfit is ugly)
Coco Rocha's dress was BEYOND! 😍💯
I was waiting for IU tbh, she looked beautiful
The CharliXCX gown reminds me so much of that iconic (slightly controversial) Gwyneth Paltrow Goth Oscar Dress!
Austin Butler is walking around talking like Elvis at least like be as interestingly fashionable as him
LaKeith is the future of Hollywood.
alaia and schiaparelli, thank you
my opinions nobody asked for:
*Alton Mason - love this look; such a unique suit shape but is actually a jumpsuit and he paired it well with a flashy shoe; he always seems to bring it
Anne Hathaway - i like it but i think the bust couldve been more well fitted; the second look's neckline needs to be everywhere and STAT
Austin Butler - im bored but i like his blue flower pin
Bella Hadid - i like it a lot and i also dont? unsure about this one its kinda costumey; if the breton stripe reference is true i think thats clever; the second look is simplicity done right i love; i think more designers should explore body jewelry; want her shoes; agree the original is better
Charli XCX - i like the look but i think i wouldve liked it better somewhere else, idk where tho
Coco Rocha - i mean there is no such thing as a bad iris van herpen look so you really cant go wrong with her; like how she matched the makeup to the look
Deepika Padukone - i think i love it; feel like maybe id love it more if the bottom was tighter fitted to the legs like more column-esque but im sure thatd just make it less walkable; love luke's comparison to gorilla arms lmao
Gemma Chan - no thank you
Julianne Moore - its really hard for me to not like a deep chocolate brown look so i am definitely into this
Kaia Gerber - this is the third Cannes look ive seen that is just a red dress and each one i like less
Katherine Langford - think id like it more on someone else she isnt rocking it like she should
Kristen Stewart - something is off about the fit like i wish it was a little looser especially since kristen stewart is so effortless, loose, cool girl vibes; i want different shoes idk why we went black
Kylie Minogue - yes! she is everything she looks good
Jake Gyllenhall - who cares?
*Jeanne Cadieu - campy at Cannes i am here for it and somehow the over the top shoes dont make it all too much; a unique take on all the Barbie pink looks were seeing
Lakeith Stanfield - he knows how to dress and how to always look cool we have to give him that; maybe itd be too over the top but i want like a pipe or a cane as an accessory, i want him to give me a full Clue moment
Lena Mahouf - this is where art meets fashion for me this is good; i think a waistline is needed to break up the black and white shapes but did it need to be crystal?; a good sheer because most designer do sheer so poorly imo; i dont think the poof is too much but the crystal definitely is
Lewis Pullman - i agree with everything luke said
Liza Koshy - truly no offense but why is she at Cannes?; this look is so boring youtubers never know how to dress for events is an epidemic; she looks like shes going to a 20s party not Cannes
Maneskin - never heard of them! but their looks make me wanna know more; always love coordinated fits im a sucker for it; the two on the right are my faves and the second in the middle is my least fave
Marion Cotillard - Marian you can do so much better omg
Mathilde Pinault - she looks good! i just cant stop thinking about how i wish i was as rich as her its hard for me to have further thoughts
Miles Teller - boring; i dont like off white mixed with black personally
Naomi Campbell - she can do whatever she wants but i dont see how the necklace goes with the look and i dont like the straps
Nikki Tutorials - i wouldve expected better from her; she looks fine but not like on a Cannes level imo
Rebecca Hall - definitely a look id want to wear if i was a celeb
Riz Ahmed - he looks classic and good but i think we all know its not too exciting
*Sabrina Carpenter - VERY into this; sexy but innocent at once; makes me feel like a perv cuz im trying to see that ass
*Tilda Swinton - idk if its just how she carries herself in every look but everything she wears just seems so her, so Tilda; do wish it had more of the fitting it did on the runway
Vanessa Hudgens - no thank you; a good example of bad sheer; a poor mixing of gold and silver
Yseult - simple but effective; the gloves and shoes are everything; i somehow dont mind the brown bag clashing w the black
best: jeanne cadieu; sabrina carpenter
worst: marion cotillard
"...It's like a... forgettable whisper..😏"
Have been watching your vids for a week or so now. You’re great and best of all you’re just being yourself and you make me smile…shine on dude. You’re also really cute and I’d love to take you to dinner sometime. If that sounded creepy, it wasn’t meant that way. And I’m in Melbourne, Australia 😉
I rly need jw Anderson and Wes Anderson to collab on a movie
I feel the chanel dress bella worn is more of a spanish flamenco dance dress inspired dress. Hence the reason of the hair style.
I wasn’t enthralled by the Vanessa H custom Miu Miu, I thought it had a bridal vibe, over and above Luke’s comment about the nude effect not really working. Lots of really interesting looks though and Luke’s commentary brings so much to light.
Take a shot every time the word 'intriguing' is used! 😆
Love the videos, but kinda wished u included the Pakistani actors that where there at Cannes.
Clearly a link in the Hadid dress to Spanish flamenco 💃 style rather than milk maid .
still searching for the comment with the timestamps
