Honestly if you ask me, he surrendered too early - after the GR died, sure, but until she did I think there was a world where he got to drag it out until my afflicted characters pulled funnies. Also the crowd shudders watching a fight between a Flagellant who was happy to exhaust all of his healing abilities like halfway into the fight and a Flagellant who literally cannot defend himself, we live in a circusociety
