Which means the entire town already knows, and has done nothing about it. Definitely people with enough moral high ground to judge a child...
Actually, you can beat Jack with only summons, his magic attack beam thing he shoots, does an explosion so if you just stand under him, it hurts him and will eventually beat himself.
Shame the AI seemed to struggle so much in this run, but I do have to say, it's funny to watch it break down at places when you're not directly attacking. It's like the game's stopping and going "What? Did you put the controller down or something? We'll pause if you need a break." Even with the roadblocks, I'd say an excellent job, Piemaster!

Did you know eating fish grants like 3 Will experience? If you wanted to sacrifice a dozen hours and your controller's lifespan, you could reduce the amount of direct kills by a bit by eating all the fish for that starting unlock

The reason people shit on fable is because Molineux kept promising features that were never properly implemented. Remember how the dog was supposed to be active in combat? Focusing on melee combatants if you use your gun or ranged combatants if you use your sword? That got reduced to the dog, at 5 star combat level, only finishing off unconscious enemies if they had low health. Overall they games were generally well received but got heavy criticism for promising things they didn't deliver.
Every voice line, every sound effect, every soundtrack they're all burned into my memory and my neurons fire wildly seeing anything to do with this game nowadays.

30:30 I used a Balverin as a summon and he was able to kill the white Balverin just fine. As a little Bonus he also transformed into a White Balverin-Summon :)

New Idea: Fable as a Vampire? Drain Life and Turncoat only, if hit by any fireball or fire like thing, you have to go back to your earliest checkpoint. And also, SKILL ONLY UPGRADES. No Strength upgrades allowedm only skill and obviously turncoat and drain life.

I bloody love Summoner/Pacifist playthroughs in RPG's. The AI is either cracked beyond compare and have built in aimbot (Dragon's Dogma) or the summons are so laughably stupid you can't help but marvel at them (again, Dragon's Dogma)
I know it's super late to mention this, but you didn't actually need a potion of will xp to save your first run. Summon gives 3 will xp per use, and so you just needed to use summon 834 times to get enough xp for ghost sword.

If you want to be more generous with your playstyle and just main summoning, instead of summoning only, you could level up lighting and use it when necessary since it would give you magic xp
Fun fact; Most medieval towns actually did have laws against just any ol' bloke carrying 'round a sword, so being forced to turn in yer sword is actually fairly accurate.

Every time you use your summon spell you gain will exp. If you figure out a way to increase your combat multiplier without actually killing things then you can spam summon to gain mass will exp. Its an old speedrunning trick
So this may be surprising but in the original release version of Fable 1 the summon creature spell wouldn’t just summon the strongest creature killed. Regardless of what creature you have, if it killed something it would become it. I remember back in the day losing my white balverine summon I got in the arena to a hobbe and being extremely annoyed. I think it was changed to function differently when the updated version, Fable The Lost Chapters came out.

I have a feeling that you couldn't use summoning magic during the Twinblade fight because the bandits surrounding you are flagged as enemies. So the summons would have tried to attack them as well, but they can't be attacked or killed doing the Twinblade fight, only after if you then decided to kill Twinblade instead of walking away. So since the devs couldn't figure out how to fix that, they just disabled summons for that specific fight. Weird how your summons didn't work on the White Balverine, as getting it as a summon itself is well know. Maybe your summon creature just wasn't a higher enough level creature? Pretty sure that bandit summon is pretty low level. I think I used stronger bandit leader in that fight to get the White Balverine as my summon.
That makes sense, they are able to stop you from targeting the bandits with lightning but summons spells are so iffy i can imagine its hard to stop them 🤣 People in the comments said that you can get the white balverine during the arena, so maybe thats the only way to do it. 🤣

When I play Fable, I kill the White Balberine using a Bandit summon so that I can have the White Balverine as my summon. I know the swords didn't work but maybe Summon would have. It needs to be better than a wasp by the way. A wasp summon can't hurt the Balverine
I read online that if you get the white balverine, then it womt change after that. And it also limits it to no range moves, other than a leap that doesnt fo far. 🤣 So i was just worried about that messing up the run and me restarting. But I might have to try this in the future.
You know what's fucked? You might be able to beat Jack entirely with summons if you have your summon kill a bandit with a crossbow and keep him from killing anything else until the final boss...and then gotta hope to the gods that he doesn't kill any of Jack's minions...hell, that might also be able to beat the kraken too.
Thats such a good idea! I agree that might work, i may have to try it at some point. If it did work it would take ages though, the bandits crossbow does little damage and he shoots so slowly 🤣
Inspired me to do this lol. One recommendation I would make is once you have some money: spam summon for magic xp. As long as the thing is summoned, you use a smidgen of mp to call it to your side for 3xp. This turned Fable into a damn clicker game lol

i love summon creature but be careful when you get to the minions because i find the minion with the dual-blade is better then the magic minion mostly because the magic minion cant use spells with summon creature but it's technically a higher tier monster so if your summon kills a magic minion you actually get a downgrade and i think thats the highest monster it can change 2 :p

I have a feeling that you couldn't use summoning magic during the Twinblade fight because the bandits surrounding you are flagged as enemies. So the summons would have tried to attack them as well, but they can't be attacked or killed doing the Twinblade fight, only after if you then decided to kill Twinblade instead of walking away. So since the devs couldn't figure out how to fix that, they just disabled summons for that specific fight.
Weird how your summons didn't work on the White Balverine, as getting it as a summon itself is well know. Maybe your summon creature just wasn't a higher enough level creature? Pretty sure that bandit summon is pretty low level. I think I used stronger bandit leader in that fight to get the White Balverine as my summon.
That makes sense, they are able to stop you from targeting the bandits with lightning but summons spells are so iffy i can imagine its hard to stop them 🤣
People in the comments said that you can get the white balverine during the arena, so maybe thats the only way to do it. 🤣

if you level a skill past the amount of mana it takes to use it, you cant use the spell anymore until you level up mana capacity.

When I play Fable, I kill the White Balberine using a Bandit summon so that I can have the White Balverine as my summon. I know the swords didn't work but maybe Summon would have. It needs to be better than a wasp by the way. A wasp summon can't hurt the Balverine
I read online that if you get the white balverine, then it womt change after that. And it also limits it to no range moves, other than a leap that doesnt fo far. 🤣
So i was just worried about that messing up the run and me restarting. But I might have to try this in the future.
You know what's fucked? You might be able to beat Jack entirely with summons if you have your summon kill a bandit with a crossbow and keep him from killing anything else until the final boss...and then gotta hope to the gods that he doesn't kill any of Jack's minions...hell, that might also be able to beat the kraken too.
Thats such a good idea! I agree that might work, i may have to try it at some point.
If it did work it would take ages though, the bandits crossbow does little damage and he shoots so slowly 🤣

One recommendation I would make is once you have some money: spam summon for magic xp. As long as the thing is summoned, you use a smidgen of mp to call it to your side for 3xp.
This turned Fable into a damn clicker game lol

I always abused that fact within the arena, get a high multiplier and keep using summon between waves.
i love summon creature but be careful when you get to the minions because i find the minion with the dual-blade is better then the magic minion mostly because the magic minion cant use spells with summon creature but it's technically a higher tier monster so if your summon kills a magic minion you actually get a downgrade and i think thats the highest monster it can change 2 :p
I looked into this stuff way to late into this video and saw stuff like that, its so confusing so I'm lucky anything like that didn't happen lol
