I just bought a used 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x. I love the 6” lift. I see a lot of 2.5 or 6” lifts only but nothing in between, so I might as well spend the money on a 6” lift. Great video
No way to say it looks bad, that's for sure. You are one of the few that actually off-road and like you said, you are going to find out when you off-road it. Can't wait to see those off-videos and hear what you think.
I’ve got a 23 Pro 4X Frontier, my only gripe with the truck is the driver seat controls, when I get out my leg is always rubbing up against the lever to lean the back part of the seat back or forwards, does having a lift help with that problem as far as getting in or out of the truck for you? Thanks, love the videos
Looks nice .i like lift on this. Havnt got a frontier pro 4x yet. Still thinking if i should. Wondering how much suspension dampening there is when going off road
Yeah I got no major complaints so far. I have video coming out Wednesday with more info on the lift and some things I would’ve done differently. Thanks for watching Tommy! I appreciate your support!
Everyone hates on RC I off-road my 2021 Titan pro4x and it’s a 3 inch RC with their shocks on 33x12.5-18 general x3s and it runs just fine Glad to see you upgraded from that shackle kit I had the RC shackles on my xterra and it was shit it smushed shackles about every 2 years with serious off-road and towing a quad and dirt bikes. Recommended tires General tires yes expedition overland got them right Mickey thompsons They don’t chunk out and still grip in rain on highways the RT by Toyo in snow and rain is a hockey puck Goodyears are to soft and chunk apart and nittos don’t last outside the 420-g2 TG
I believe with a drop hitch and sturdier leaf packs you will be good to go for towing. Some go the airbag route I guess that way you would have a little adjustability, air up for hauling and off offroad for a little more flex.
The reason to do this is for looks, flooded streets, and maybe tire clearance - tires are where you get the clearance anyway. Everything else is a negative and can be measured or compared. You already know the downside in travel just by looking at it, others do too and possibly why those that use/need the articulation don't bother with this setup. Basically, it strikes me as mostly a looks based job vs function. Another, is last I knew, this setup requires cutting and removing metal. Can you even return to stock?
Nissan Gang! Truck is looking great with the new fitment. Excited to see how you feel about the lift in 6 months to a year of wheeling. Looking forward to seeing the what's to come.
@@4wdAdventurz- Same here… super late to the party on this video but I used to watch your videos back when you initially got the Frontier. I’m curious what you think about the lift decision and whether or not you went back to your stock UCAs.
@@DebtPRZ well welcome back! Yes, I did have to got back to the stock UCA's . They didn't fit with this lift. I forget thwere, but I did make a video on that issue. I just can't remember which one it is lol
@@4wdAdventurz- No worries man. I went down a bit of a rabbit hole late last night/early this morning and eventually saw your videos to get all my questions answered. Haha. I appreciate you taking the time to reply though. Nice truck man. Congrats on it.
Looks great!! Im on the FB group and i see the RC 6" hate basically daily on there. Its ridiculous. Theres also a ton of people with the kit who wheel it all the time without issues
@@4wdAdventurz- How’s the RC lift holding up? Was it worth it? I’m considering going from a 2.5 lift/level to a full 6” lift. How much did it run you if you don’t mind me asking?
Personally with my frontier the order for my truck will be new at tires, next rear locker, next under armour, and rock slider rails next would be bumper and winch. Last thing I would get is the lift personally that way you get to know your vehicle and what lift you are going to need as you progress. I really love the look though! I would love to see how it holds up with all my mods I plan on doing one by one. 😂
That lift doesn't give You more ground clearance tires give you ground clearance you gain approach and departure and break over the hight of your front crossmember and rear diff are still the same as for the upper control arms they look designed for a spacer lift so maybe add your spacer back or like a 1 inch your front tire is chipped because of the inside of your fender is cutting it at full lock
Looks good, is yours a new or used frontier ?.. the reason I'm asking is i have a new 2024 and I'm wanting to do the same as you but I'm wondering about the factory warranty on mine
I think if you went with the stock uca you might not have to worry about it hitting the top of the wheel well. As far as I know the high clearance aftermarket uca’s are just need to avoid coil. I let contact with other lifts. The RC6 is a drop bracket lift that works with stock uca’s. I could also be completely wrong lol
I have Rough Country on my Silverado and it wheels just fine. Truck looks good, I'm surprised about your Goodyear tires they are usually a pretty tough compound that they make the tires out of. I run either BFG or Kenda's on my truck. currently Kenda Klevler R and they are doing great. previous to that was the BFG All Terrains. I have BFG KM2's on my Jeep and they are a decent tire, but I may go to Kenda's on it, or it may go away and become a Frontier in that spot in the driveway🤔
I was shocked when I saw the condition of the tires. I want another set of the Firestone Destination MT2's but I'm having a hard time paying almost $400 per tire..
@@4wdAdventurz- Gotta go with the General Tires next time. Continental offers the best bang for buck tires on the market… General Tire is their brand that offers more off road options.
I do like the lift, it definitely give benefits however now it looks like you need bigger tires to keep up with the lift. Maybe 35s in the future?!? I am afraid it’s gonna be real stiff and top heavy. But if you know how to wheel it, it’ll go most places. I can’t emphasize it enough, PLEASE get a rear locker(!) it helps so much. I do feel it would have got you out of places that you gotten stuck. I’m really happy for you and hope the lift and truck treats you as well as they should. 😊 Also, are you gonna get a new front bumper and a winch? 6:47
I can't speak for the drop bracket and other parts but I've had the RC 2.5 N3 lifted front struts and shocks on the back for about 2 years now on a gen 2 with no problems. I drive it everyday it's about like stock probably a little better. I took the front sway bar off too.
I'm not sure. I might keep it for another project in the near future. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 We'll see... I also might sell it if that project turns out to be a bust lol
Man it looks sick. I just canceled my AllDogs lift because I want something higher than the titan swap. But I don't know how RC will do offroad. Not trying to have anything break
@4wdAdventurz Sounds good. Will be waiting for it to come out. Hopefully all goes good, if so will be ordering the kit. Have one trip planned for next month and the other trip planned at the end of Sept. Want to put it on before then
$1400 for the kit and $700 for the labor. But I had to drive two hours for the labor. Everyone here in town either didn't install rough country or they wanted 1600-1800 to install..
Wasted money😂😂 you just slowed down your mph .you put stress on front suspension and components. Your tires will wear unevenly. And the common consumer of trucks does not want a modified truck it just brings more problems 😂😂😂 in
"Wasted money"? Ehh. Maybe. Jury still out on that one.. "Slowed down my MPH". Maybe..but that's irrelevant. This isn't a race car.. "Stress on my front suspension". I don't think so, all the angels on the major components (CV's, tie rods..ext) are straight. Plus there are extra support brackets that come with the kit. "Your tires will wear unevenly". As long as you do a routine alignment, tires will be fine. Nothing to do with the lift. "Comon consumer of trucks don't want modified trucks". Maybe not in your area. But in the south, modified trucks outnumber stock trucks 10-1 and they fetch more money.

On these 275/65r18 did it rub or did you put any spacers on for that stick out look? What was your wheel width? 18x?
Nope, no spacers. Wheels are 18 Fule Clash
18x9, 18x9.5, or 18x10?

Just watched a video of a 6 inch RC lift on a 2017 Taco. Did you have to cut the crossmember to install this lift?
Yes. For this particular lift you have to cut the crossmember.
These trucks look good with that lift. They are not for everyone though.
@@4wdAdventurz- Any negative effects or effects at all to the vehicle’s performance as a result of cutting the crossmember?

In this video it still had 33’s. With 33’s it doesn’t rub at all. 35’s are a different story😂

does the 6 inch lift cause CBC?
No
Still goin.
Yes sir! 🫡
Looks good, not a fan of having to run 18 inch wheels, thanks
Honestly me too. I loved the 16" steelies.
I’ve heard you can run stock 17” with 1-1/5” spacers to clear the knuckle. I’d go that route before considering 18’s.
What do think about the Ecutek Performance Tuning that z1 release? Are you going to try it?
Not sure yet. I’m 50/50 on it now..
6"? Get a full size truck lol!! Looks cool man...
