Hows the paint holding up so far? I see a lot of cars practically new and the paint already peeling, it must be the hot weather and maybe the salt from the beach
so did you get new upper control arm? If not how bad are the bump stops with the banging . this happens because the upper control arm aren't the right size after the lift
If serious about lift, why the heck did you leave those steps on the vehicle? I pulled the steps off the first day and stored the in the garage. Those steps are close to TWO inches below the frame rail. And I cannot believe anyone living in Hawaii knows that true off-roading it. Float it over to Moab and see what it can do.
It totally is doable. Here in Hawaii it's nothing but hills since I live on the side of the two most active volcanoes in the world. I'm curious what kind of mileage I could get on flat highways and hyper- mile driving.
18 is still waaaay better than the 4.0 powerhouse in the last gen the 4.0 is a reliable powerful V6 and that's what Nissan wanted in 2005 a V6 with V8 power and they weren't thinking about fuel mileage

That's the best info you are going to get because the motor and transmission have been out since then they are just in a second generation body. That's the good thing about it the motor and transmission have already been out a while so if there were any major issues I would think they would be known about.
@Pro4xploits the 2015 Titan wasn't Direct injection so is not relevant to the question. THE new Titan is Direct injection and owners are expressing and showing problems with carbon buildup on the valves
@Johnny Reb I have not found even a 2020 owner who has 100k on their Frontier which is why I am still scared to pull the trigger on one of these.
@@dalephillips8250 I understand that.
Anyone know where the front tow hooks could be purchased OEM/aftermarket? I’d like to get the black set. I’d need the part that opens for the tow hooks as well. My 2022 Frontier CC SV has the body for it having the tow package and all, the screw points on the under-frame are there as well but no hooks. Smh.
Damn. I don't have an answer for that one.
@@ChrisGramm- Thanks for the reply! I’ve found the hooks themselves on Z1Offroad. But the opening that’s inserted into the bumper - that’s more of a challenge. Either way, I’ll figure it out. Thank you, again?
How much was it to ship the ADOR kit to Hawaii? I also live on the Big Island.
I wanna say about $250 but not sure any more. Give them a call. They're great to deal with.
2020 Pro4x with the new engine and 9speed tranny and the old school look with a 5' bed, roof rack, stunning Black with full pro4x graphics. INSTANT CLASSIC!!! Love your Pro4x, beautiful! And what about that view you have!!! Wow! Subbd.
I’ve noticed that on my 22 frontier the seat reclines on its own a little bit each time I connect the seatbelt. I swear I hear it moving sometimes. Strange.
Mine moves on long trips, but it's really noticeable after a night parked.
@@ChrisGramm There has to be something to it. I thought it was just my imagination. But I started noticing I’m leaning a little farther back each day after a week or so.
Your truck looks terrific ! I have 2.5in n3 lift struts in the front and 2in shackles in the rear with extended n3 shocks . Did you use spacers on top of your front coils to give you extra lift ? I wanted to do 1/4 spacers on top of my lifted struts to give me 3in total to level it out . I was told not to by a certain company . What do you think ? Thanks .
I used ½ inch spacers and haven't had any issues. I did the upper control arms though. The factory ones smack the buckets at full droop
Awesome video man. Did the dealer install the lift kit? Got the ADO rckilla lift on order. Subbed.
Mahalo🤙🏼
I did the work myself. Took about 6 hours for the front and 3 for the rear.
Alldogs are great people! Gonna do your install or take it somewhere?
@@ChrisGramm take it to a pro shop for sure. There's no way I could do it myself
@@axellness A wise man!
What about voiding out your warranty
Please sir can you do another video for your truck some time next year thank you 😊
I already have a few more videos planned for it. Stay tuned
The pro-4x doesn't come with the roof racks like the 2nd gens did?
Nope. But I noticed a few companies, including Nismo are making them now.
Opinion on turning radius?
I'll be honest. It's not the best. So I just take my time and haven't had any issues.... YET! 😁
My issue with the turning radius is I only have my '94 Jeep YJ (the one in the intro) to compare it to. If you know the old Jeeps' tight turning radius, everything else feels like an oil tanker.
Hows the paint holding up so far? I see a lot of cars practically new and the paint already peeling, it must be the hot weather and maybe the salt from the beach
My rig is up to 55k now with the only issues being little paint chips from rocks. No cloudy clear coat and it's coming up on 3 years old now.
I got the same truck, what bed cover did you get?
so did you get new upper control arm?
If not how bad are the bump stops with the banging . this happens because the upper control arm aren't the right size after the lift
I did upper control arms so I haven't had any issues with banging. Alldogsoffroad supplied them and they're great
@ChrisGramm That's awesome !!
want to buy 1 spring/summer if rates come down.
@@brad4527 you won't be disappointed
If serious about lift, why the heck did you leave those steps on the vehicle? I pulled the steps off the first day and stored the in the garage. Those steps are close to TWO inches below the frame rail. And I cannot believe anyone living in Hawaii knows that true off-roading it. Float it over to Moab and see what it can do.
One word answer! Wife 😵💫
And three of em are busted off now. No going back🤙🏼
Thanks for the review, looking into one and wanted to the real gas mileage it seems 22 is very real.
It totally is doable. Here in Hawaii it's nothing but hills since I live on the side of the two most active volcanoes in the world. I'm curious what kind of mileage I could get on flat highways and hyper- mile driving.
@@ChrisGramm I just took my 22' frontier to the beach (Around a 155 mile trip). I got 24mpg by just setting cruise control on the highway.
@@CPG_ Totally doable!!! A lot of people think I'm taking crazy pills when I tell them the fuel mileage doesn't suck.
Right on🤙🏼
Nissan will fix everything in the next generation… 20 years!!!
Toyota Tacoma will last longer than the Nissan Frontier.
@@jeffreyfurtado3681not with those new turbo engines.
I thought I was the only one with phantom seat movements lol
I thought I was taking crazy pills too 🤙🏼
Just got rhe truck too, and I know it happens lol
My 22 pro 4x does it also. SMH
@@jamessteller1914 I'm surprised Nissan hasn't issued a correction in their service bulletins yet
same! i have a 22 pro4x driver seat does the same
23' has wireless apple car play
It looks pretty goofy how much did you mess with it
I'll make a video with everything I've done. But it's pretty minor stuff. The 4 inch lift from All Dogs Off Road and the 33's is the most notable.
Goofy? I have the front and rear flexed out to show articulation.
You're averaging 22mpg only because u have the stock tires soon. As soon as u get mud tires or a better all terrain.... 18mpg. Maybe
I don't doubt that. 🤙🏼
And because nobody is in a hurry in Hawaii
18 is still waaaay better than the 4.0 powerhouse in the last gen the 4.0 is a reliable powerful V6 and that's what Nissan wanted in 2005 a V6 with V8 power and they weren't thinking about fuel mileage
Can I get a link for the hitch you have?
Hitch? The hitch receiver is factory.
Entertainment is wireless.
Entertainment is wireless if you use the Bluetooth function. If you use Android Auto or Apple car play it's plugged in through one of the two usb-c plugs. The Carsifi dongle solved it for me though
I’m pretty sure it is now wireless for the 23 model
@@JAT922 I'll have to invite one of my iPhone friends to check if my truck's Apple Car Play is wireless in my truck. It might be.
It's wireless in the '23 rigs but Android Auto is still a plug in affair to get it running like my '22.
How’d you put that many miles on the truck in a year on an island?
I'm retired and Hawaii has lots of wide open places to wheel
