The only thing I still don't like is how everyone treats Link like a random traveler, canonically he should have gone to Kakariko village and completed 100% of the main quests and shrines.
This game is *terrible* as a sequel. Nothing follows from the first game, to the point of insanity.
All sheikah tech, guardians, Shrine of Resurrection is just *gone*. Maddison has been born, and grown to puberty, but at most, we see children grow to pre-teens. We've gone from no one even knowing the *name* zonai, to entire groups of people being obsessed with them.
It really feels like they mashed two zelda games together.
@@TheDapperDragon true, I was absolutely flabbergasted when I learned that the divine beasts were gone, games still fun though
@Dapper Changeling It honestly feels like we're playing the real game and botw was the demo. I have to say that I love this game. Feels alot like when I played majoras mask as a kid and was super confused why it wasn't the ocarina of time sequel I was told it would be in the trailers lol.
@@RachelRewind16I have two questions: What are you on? & Can I have some?
Well as far as I know, it seems like several years happened in between botw and totk. I’d assume that link mostly hung around Zelda who went around looking at ruins and stuff like that so anyone not part of the royal crew or close to them, link hardly interacted with
I’m going to assume the gloom destroyed all the tech and previous towers, and the hylians were building better tech anyway so it prob wasn’t maintained much. They also had no more use for the divine beasts which were created specifically to fight ganon
All in all, I think this is just a “forgotten by time” scenario where things just isn’t there or forgotten due to the years of no constant interactions
They really said “we scammed the shit outta you, my B” and gave you your money back, that’s honestly so real of them
It's not really scamming,, she sells you for a price that you are apparently willing to pay and she even tells you that she has to do it, so she just gave him free money back, which makes it even better.
Bro her grandma was terminally ill wdym "scammed"? She thought she'd have to save up money to pay for urgent treatment.
Still, 12900 markup each set, or 4300 each item
Considering she literally told ya it's marked up prices and she was intentionally inflating them to pay for what she thought qpuld be an urgent doctors appointment I don't think that's a scam
Do you second-guess people that tell you the sky is blue?
I love how Link slowly walks to each item of clothing as if hes just doing this to flex on the shopkeeper, thr fact he stares at her when buying it too is so funny
Link buying some grossly overpriced clothes with chump change be like, ゴゴゴゴ「 M E N A C I N G 」ゴゴゴゴ
Then starts doing shield flips leaving diamonds everywhere.

I'm convinced either someone raided Link's house while he and Zelda were missing to steal his armor sets, fake Zelda stole his clothes and armor to hide them and reduce his survivability, or Link sold all his stuff after the calamity Ganon fight to help with repairing the damage done during disaster.
Only in-game thing I could find that comes close to an explanation or a hint is a hidden journal of Zelda's that mentions that him spending all his time following her everywhere has worn down his clothes. Not sure how that covers every armor set I found but eh.
@@MrNintendogeek01 link probably had it all in his inventory when the dorf melted his arm and master sword
Sidon and his wife do mention that the Zorah armor was damaged in a battle, and that only the chest piece that Mipha made him could be repaired.
They had to find the hat and pants from ancient times for him, though they couldn't get to them before Link did after hearing them talk about where the stuff is rumored to be.
Based on how Link seems- could be either lol
I'm only halfway throught the game buut I alwayd figured link lived in the castle, and when it floated away his stash did too, then the gloom took it all. Just a head canon

Im playing breath of the wild for the first time and its my first playthrough of the game and i love it so far. I finished the waterblight ganon fight and i love climbing moutians and eating random food when my health is low and just.... Exploring. yeah I love the side quests where there's mini storylines and its not just a fetch quest ! the koko and cottla quest was one of my favourites in botw
I love how Link hums old songs from Ocarina of Time when he's cooking the dish over the fire!
Good of them to refund you at the end of it all. Because otherwise the Gloom would be the least of their problems.
maybe like 30,000 is a bit much but I like when RPG's make you use something valuable or have a lot of something with the purpose of refunding you later.
Ex: Using a Special Key to open optional Dungeons and each dungeon has a Special Key as a reward; You can do the dungeons in any order but essentially you have to finish the one you're on in order to start another.

The prince of hyrule flexes his wealth once again
This quest made me crazy, I played the game in french and instead of wild greens the word used was vegetable so i kept trying with every vegetable for days before releasing it was actually a flower all along
damn i accidentally did the grandmother sidequest before ever stepping foot in the clothing store, mildly disappointed i missed out on this
First : This vidéo shows why Sheikahs are the best
Second: love the fact you come to the shop with a chicken
ah yes, overpricing cloth by more than 4000 rupees, definitly the best
So I’ve you think about the time lines it’s between 4-6 years invited games, they would have taken the guardians and the towers down, and repurposed then for their new tech, but they really wouldn’t risk leaving them around, and the Divine beasts could have also been broken down cause i doing think anyone wants s bunch of kids to go in there exploring a dangerous temple It coins have caused a lot of accidents, also with everyone treating Link like a stranger renege he’s glued to Zelda, imagine meeting someone a few times over a small period of time and then just never speaking to you again could you actually say that you can remember them? They have their own busy lives so the fact they can’t remember Link does seem normal mainly if there was no statute or proof that they would hear about constantly, because everyone has been busy trying to rebuild after calamity ganon destroyed everything.
I relate to the grandma so much when I can only down Porridges during my recovery from Covid.
If you don’t buy the overpriced clothing, do you still get the Sheikah Fabric when you save the Granny?
You get it when you buy something for the first time.
I didn’t get it. 😮
I was a little upset they made me jump through a few hoops to get clothes I used to have. 💀
This means that this clothing shop can be used as a bank for challenge runs where the game takes all your rupees, and the game state prevents you from making more. I'm not aware of any speedruns/challenges that put you in that situation, but you never know.
Just did this quest yesterday and immediately thought of this question. Glad you made this video.
Glad to hear it!
I haven’t beaten the game yet. But im going to call it here. I theorize that the reason link is treated as a random traveler in many places and why all shieka tech is gone is because Zelda reconned her future. I’m guessing while she is there in the past, she warns them to destroy all shieka tech after the first calamity. This in turn, causes ripples in time to correct itself without completely destroying the timeline Link is in already. From the very beginning, the past was rewritten, starting with the fact that ther only exists the Purah Pad, not the shieka slate. Zelda even acts as if taking pictures is a new thing, when it happened with the slate already. From the very beginning of the game, you were playing the new timeline.
Or this can be easily debunked by playing to the end.
In BotW you can buy a house in Hateno Village. If you do all Kass's quests, he'll give you a picture of Link w/ the Champions. If you enter that house after, Link will put the picture up on the wall.
That picture is still there in that same house in TotK.
The Champions were selected specifically to pilot the Divine Beasts, which were the magnum opus of Sheikah technology.
Therefore, BotW still happened more or less exactly as we saw in the game. There is simply no detailed explanation for where the Divine Beasts and the rest of the Sheikah tech went to.
The most likely explanation is that Robbie tore up everything exposed to the surface and created new tech with it, which Purah then stole and put her name on, and everything else was lost to the Depths after Ganondorf oopsy-daisy'd the earth.
Pretty sure you can find drawings of Guardians somewhere in one of the tech labs, so I doubt there's any timeline screwery going on with the lack of Sheikah tech.
Really goes to show how money doesn't fix problems.
Aww that's really wholesome
Oh so they are supposed to be overpriced 😂. I thought all of the rest of the sets would cost that much lol.
I swear, 70% of y'all are way too lazy to read
@@danclypse Claree only tells you they're overpriced and why if you try to buy or talk to her. If you just waltz in the shop and look at the items, the game tells you the price; it's not unreasonable for someone to windowshop, see the prices and leave without interacting with her

@@Kafaldsbylur It is not, but then again, if you're scared at the price tag, you *should* suspect something. HOW TO DUPLICATE ITEMS IN TOTK!!
Attach a wing to your shield
Drop all of the item you want to duplicate ((items will despawn if more than 21 of them are on the ground, so be careful)) so the item you want to duplicate is on the ground and pick them up again, so they are the last item in your inventory
Jump and shield surf and immediately pause the game.
Hold any item you only have 1 one of then grab 4 of the item you want to duplicate
Immediately pause and unpause, grab another item you only have 1 of and repeat (you can only do this 4 times before items start to despawn, SO ONLY DO IT 4 TIMES PER SHIELD SURF JUMP)
When you hit the ground you will have 16 more of the item you were duplicating on the ground without losing any that were in your inventory and pick them up, it’s best to do this in front of a shop so you can sell them right away and start over.
Wow, if only all business owners were so honest.

With the funds I've accumulated in botw I could have easily purchased it too but Link must have lost his wallet in the Hyrule underground.

the artist will have fun with this concept
Link hums classics when cooking. That's why his dishes are so good.
So you paid 4200 rupees
Nice
To stabilize a bit of a questions. I'm sure nobody cares.
Sheikah Temples insides are distorted space. It's prob the same space the new shrines use.
Sheikah tech isn't gone. It's reutilized. Most of it was scavenged and cleaned out by Robbie/Purah over the years. Your "Purah" Pad is just the Sheikah tablet.
It would seem after the years it couldn't function anymore. Plus their tech was prob corrupted thus ganon's gloom/calamity stuff caused it to be very unsuitable in use.
BUT the towers, still glow blue when active. They use the arms. And there is some parts of them in smaller doses in the camp if you climb up.
Remember that the fact you made "bombs" out of thin air. Is prob the same as the shrines "stone" surface creations. So they never master the tech and it was heavily corruptible.
And on further examination Construct weapons etc. made of Zonaite are NOT lighting rods just like the Sheikah tech weapons if I recall. It hints that the majority of the tech isn't GONE it's useless.
There is not enough parts to...well make advancements cause it's not...TECHNOLOGY it's magi-tech. It brought constructs to life. And it was imperfect to the older tech that was lost.
They didn't have the channeling material to make it work as well.
Theoretically, Green might be the proper channeling of the magic while blue is the imperfected variant. It's unkown but they might have been using Zoanite all allong in smaller traces.
Now it's just game development which is fine. But another thing is PEOPLE do know who link is. BUT NOT EVERYBODY DOES. Thus the moniker "The Legendary Swordsman" These people are the new generations. And there is other blonde warriors. Just Link is very specific person due to his reincarnation status. Other than that he's specifically a Hylian Male of Blonde hair. And commonly is inheriting the sword skills of multiple Links variants. Also notable about him is "He is super human" compared to other Hylians. From what I can tell this is about 5-10 years later.
wait? Does Link abuse the song of time to speed up cooking?
No, that's just an Easter egg in the game. He will hum random tunes from other Zelda titles when cooking It just happened to be song of time in this instance
My volume was low and I thought the chicken clucking was badly played harmonica 😭
haha
This outfit is all I wore in breath of the wild so to see I would have to break my neck trying to get my favorite armor set was a little upsetting.
Inflation is wild in Hyrule
The original price should have been 700 Rupees and was marked up to 5,000 Rupees, meaning those clothing items were individually marked up 4,300 Rupees.
Me: “ah time for a bit of escapism”
Hyrule: inflation and corporate greed have infested these lands!
SPOILERS:
It's likely that zelda heavily influenced Hyrule's technology from the past, like, the entire reason the great sky island exists is to be a place for link away from the reach of the gloom and ganondorf, so instead of the world being full of shiekah technology in BOTW, its filled with Zonai technology due to zelda and raurus association

You don't need a hyrule herb for sunny porridge because the sundelion fulfils the leafy greens requirement
What if you buy the clothes and then let some time pass? Are they able to get grandma better with the money you gave them?
In TotK there are MULTIPLE people who are trying to cure their own or someone else's Gloom and are totally clueless that Sundelions are the answer.
