for just 9 Zonaite you can make Gleeok the easiest boss in the game! Short version: • HOW TO BEAT GLEEOK (Te... Audio: LADY (Kenshi Yonezu), Despicable Me Whistle
People have built such amazing things in this game, both simple and complex… then there’s me, playing TotK like it’s BotW completely forgetting that you can build/fuse stuff and hitting things with random ass weapons. I’m an old man now 😢
Every now and then i force myself to stop and try building something to get around a battle encounter. I always end up defaulting to a flying machine and then bomb arrow time enemies as im falling down lol.
This has actually been my strategy for every gleeok fight. Find a piece of cover that’s easy to hide behind and also ascend up, so you can get easy bullet time shots, and retreat to cover. However, some locations like Bridge of Hylia and Gleeok Den don’t have cover, so you have to build it!
Gleeok den I legit just hid behind the staircases and used keese eyeballs to shoot from around the corner. Also fused a rocket to my shield to gain height for headshots when heads went down and rinse and repeat
Simply attach the wing add on to your shield and start to shield surf and instantly start aiming with the bow. You’ll get the results and way faster as well
I saw this and used the instant scaffolding schema stone to beat my first Gleeok so thanks🎉 even though i didn't use your design you gave me a good idea
In Botw I would head glitch the shit out of lynels before I figured out how to cheese them with bullet time. This is like a cool combo of both. Good work 🎉
Saw this video and just did the same with the scaffold schematic because I'm lazy and it worked great. A little cumbersome to build sometimes but works the same and let's you ascend higher. I'll have to remember to build this one. Awesome video
Pretty cool. I either ride my shield while shooting ice keese arrows with a 5x savage lynal bow or front flipping into the slow motion bow thing with a glider shield (it makes you jump higher).
enemies and bosses don’t seem to account for moveable objects like autobuild and zonai devices (with some exceptions where bosses and minibosses will destroy them when being next to it) very well, since their AI and even pathfinding isn’t adopted to these things.
A tip that i just found: charging spears or one-handed weapons for longer does not increase damage, only range. So at point-blank range there's no need to charge more.
If you aren't fighting something giant, then the spin attack from one-handed weapons will stagger larger enemies and send smaller enemies flying. That allows you to easily stunlock the majority of enemies in the game, as opposed to using the regular basic combo that even Bokoblins can power through without flinching. The quick spin attack from rotating the control stick and then attacking, instead of charging the weapon, is also useful for this. It'll only be the Lv.1 charge for the minimum attack range, but the spin attack will come out instantly.
While funny, I reckon that build will probably not work against Kings since they can spawn solid objects as part of their attack pattern. Lightning one can also be cheesed through with the Lightning proof helmet. The interesting thing about that build is that it might be just enough height to not have to finagle with the firing point of most eye-fused arrows so that you wouldn’t even need to aim at their heads, just at their general direction, when they go higher up for their aoe shenanigans.
King Gleeoks are annoying in that final stage, but with keese eyes you can just shoot in their general direction and usually bring them down before they have a chance to do final phase.
A 5x Burst Shot 32 per hit Lynel Bow + Ice Keese Eyeballs destroys Gleeoks. For the ice ones, use Fire Keese Eyeballs instead. Mix in some puffshrooms and muddlebud shots and you don't need any airtime.
Hell of a lot better than BotW. I do like the new variants and the new tactics some of the enemies now use, too. I was sad to learn, though, that "Poes" are just collectibles, and that we don't have "corrupted river Zora" that act like the monster Zora from the original games.
