I work at a County Jail in Florida. A few of my former trusties that I have directly supervised have died in the last couple years for unrelated non-illegal reasons. That's the top speed of an ambulance, it doesn't go any faster than "Officer Down!" But during the daily BS, I try to ask questions that are more helpful to everyone. Hopefully the officers are paying attention, because I'll get them to tell me stuff that is only pertinent information to Law Enforcement, about their drug use, where friends left to, etc. They aren't as defensive if they think I'm looking for a friend to pick them up at the hospital. Or letting them vent about their financial struggle and who's selling them drugs or who's buying. We have to get a narrative of the events for our report and build a report with them, so might as well get some information law enforcement can start with. Especially finding out how many people got shot before they walk in and supprise the ER, and hopefully learn who was doing the shooting. To me it's not a criminal complaint, just telling their story, but the Officer or Detective can write this down and radio for other units to pick up certain suspects before they walk away from the scene. Lots of times they are still there not aware they have to answer for the shooting, they assume it was justified self defense. Friendly sympathetic conversation with a Paramedic, they'll talk. 🤔😁

Humanizing the badge. I completely understand. I would submit that the crack dealer or other hard drug dealer is a part of the chain in which violent crimes, as well as neglect or even rape and other harm of children happen in order to gain the cash for that hard drug addiction. So, we are taught to see the criminal as a lone entity, even though they are complicit in that supply chain.

I grew up with criminals in my childhood who died about as quickly as they arrived in my life at the time, so I think I can at least sympathize with where 401's coming from. Obviously I was never directly opposed to those people like 401 or any other cop, but it's got a humbling moment every time someone like that who was always either acting tough or simply was that durable on the street one moment, then the next they've got that unfocused stare aimed up at the sky or what have you. One cold way of reminding you how suddenly it can all end... And the fact that you're still a cop after having a... "personal moment with death" doesn't really cut it. When you were I guess familiar with the face of death? I think you know what I mean, 401. Anyway, it's the fact you're still with your department after moments like that which has me able to offer nothing but respect for you and those like you. Just keep on keepin' on and good luck out there.

I enjoyed the nostalgia of the car vid before we knew what you looked like but I like all your videos, it doesn't matter where. Keep up the good work. My father was a cop in the early 60's. Man he had some stories...
After growing up around law enforcement my whole life and having a dad and uncle that were cops I've learned a lot about the corruption and evilness that is modern law enforcement. My dad after 20+ years as a high ranking cop began to speak out against the reasons why law enforcement is not only illegitimate but also corrupt in every way. There's nothing more unConstitutional on the streets right now than all the cops in America. Other than the politicians they serve. Before he died I made a promise to him that I would continue spreading his knowledge and standing up against the tyranny that people such as yourself commit on a daily basis. The only good cop is one that puts down the badge and takes up the fight against the tyrannical government we have instead of being a servant to it. As long as you are enforcing and upholding unConstitutional laws you sir are the enemy of the free American. And there's a ton of us out here. Waiting. Biding our time. Educating others and preparing. Preparing for the day we meet our enemies face to face on the battlefield. And that could be anywhere at anytime. You should give so serious evaluation to what exactly it is that you think you're really doing and what agendas are you helping by "just doing your job" cause if you don't see it for what it is then you are too brainwashed to get it and therefore will be shocked when the SHTF. You are the exact equivalent to the Red Coats of the revolutionary war. And buddy that's coming from a cop that highly out ranks you. So you better really think about what I'm saying. Cause one day you'll run into someone that has a motto and its this all they have to do is get two or more of their enemy to win the game cause in the end all they get is the one. Death isn't scary living without true freedom is scary. Bringing children into the world and worrying about if they'll be murdered or put in a cage by tyrants is scary. Dying to protect them from all of that is the easiest thing any of us can do. So are you on the side that pays you to enforce tyranny or you on the side of the true free human beings???

@@JEKYLL2020 I remember doing the gas chamber at basic. Everyone looked like their face was melting off, until you realized it was snot and vomit and tears.
It was hilarious.
I enjoyed the nostalgia of the car vid before we knew what you looked like but I like all your videos, it doesn't matter where. Keep up the good work. My father was a cop in the early 60's. Man he had some stories...
Now it's back, leg and feet reveal. LMAO
Puts things into perspective doesn't it? Thanks for sharing the story Officer. Take care out there and stay safe!
Happy to see ya driving again!

Yes, I'm very glad you did the car video. That must have been incredibly surreal, seeing someone you used to interact with like that.
